Thank you, Teela! I looked all over the web for a tutorial on how to create and modify scatter brushes and came across yours. It's so helpful and well explained. You saved my day!
Thanks SO damn much - I'm new to Illustrator and I really appreciate you showing the "from scratch" detail. I hadn't figured out brushes yet and this made it super easy. THUMBS UP.
Thank you! Super helpful, simple, clearly articulated and the perfect pace to work alongside the tutorial. Question: I can't change the color of my brush unless I select 'hue' instead of 'tints and shades.' Is there a reason? Thanks! Sara
Hi Teela Thanks for this great tutorial. I have had a go as a newbie to Illustrator and although I follow all the steps, when I go to use the brush it is adding a stroke even when I am ensuring that I only fill in the set up of the brush. Do you know why it keeps adding a stroke? It means that I get a lovely scatter, plus some weird shapes! Thanks. Luisa
Thank you Teela for sharing this video. I did create the brushes but the only thing is with the star brush it has a thick black outline on each star. What setting would you recommend to change. I have looked around to no avail.....Thank you in advance. New subscriber.....
+Teela Cunningham (Every-Tuesday) Hi Teela, just had the time to try the confetti again with a lot of trial by error, I got it. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to your next weeks lesson.
When you have drawn your line with the confettis, you can do object > expand appearance , and then the confettis will be paths instead of one path, and you can use this as a mask.
+Joanna Lee unfortunately no - definitely fewer customization options than Photoshop, but there is that work around if you want to mix in some different colors seen towards the end of the vid :)
Здравствуй. Спасибо за ваши уроки. Я не могу понять, как сделать имитацию золотых блестках, и заполнить в тексте. Таким же образом, наслоение многих мазками кисти с различными оттенками под золото? Но файл будет очень тяжелым
The speed of this is perfect. Thank you

+Adam Schwartz woohoo! Happy to help!
Such a well done tutorial and so helpful; thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful... Thanks for sharing...
This is super useful. However, can I change the color each individual one or even the color randomness in the scatter brush? 😊
How did you get that gold color?

Super cute & helpful tuts!!
Hi Teela,
I have adobe CC but oddly enough the scatter and art brushes are both not available to me..... Do you have any clue wha that might be???
Hi Teela

Can you add a glitter texture behind the confetti?
Of course - you can either place an image of glitter or use a pattern layer style for the background 👍

+RuthAnn Deline Hey! Sounds like you have a stroke on your stars instead of just a fill - change that and you should be good!
Thank you, I will try that....Thanks for your time.

Hello I just wanna know, is it possible to create a clipping mask with these confettis ? (Thank you for this very helpful tutorial by the way😁😉)
When you have drawn your line with the confettis, you can do object > expand appearance , and then the confettis will be paths instead of one path, and you can use this as a mask.
Thank you been waiting 1 week for this video!
Is there a way for the confetti to have more than one color? Like you did in Photoshop?
+Joanna Lee unfortunately no - definitely fewer customization options than Photoshop, but there is that work around if you want to mix in some different colors seen towards the end of the vid :)
thank you!
thanks for this tutorial. It helps me.
thank you that was very helpful for me
I need help the colors won't change. It is staying in the original color the brush was created in.
Thanks
so is this vector?
God bless you! Thanks!

It's great material but the instructions are too fast.
