In Australia(especially in prison or talking to ex inmates) calling someone a ‘champion’ is the same as calling them a child molester. Bro fish and chips used to be a cheap and delicious feed for a whole family, what happened to buying the chips by the dollar like $5 of chips and a few pieces of fish like $20 - $25 total and you could feed a family of 4

they're still around cuz. Spanios just went to all the highly rated boujee places. Fish n chip shop near my place sells a flake, chips, dim sim and potato cake for 10 bucks.
Business people have realised they can still have business while charging for extras as long as everyone else is doing it.

There are really good places out west that are cheaper. Obviously places by the water with huge rent in wealthy areas are going to be expensive. Good to see what different parts of Sydney Offer as he’s usually around the west and inner west

Flathead and Whiting are the ultimate table fish and anyone can catch and cook them if you put in some work at the beach or river you'll get a nice feed and always use Coopers pale ale if you can for the beer batter!!! Loving the It's All Eats series!!!

back in the day, $10 you got a massive amount of chips, and they wrapped it in newspaper like material, so it was still hot in the wrapping 15 mins later
I miss those old school newspaper wrapped parcels of fish and chips. Those were the days. Sadly, they're long gone.
$2 of chips from the right chippy, even in 2007 was enough to feed 2 people with some left over.

You can feed a family of 4 in Melbourne for about $35-40 at most places. Obviously the more fancy of gourmet places will be crazy expensive for one person but the neighbourhood fish and chip places are still pretty well priced! Everything else has skyrocketed

After watching Spaniard we thought we should check out these businesses, we went to Fich at Petersham today for lunch the chips was bad small piece of fish and tartare sauce was off it smelt and looked like frothing I dipped my chips in it once and threw it out the salad had no dressing on it 😒 the whole experience was disappointing 😏

Takeaways in Australia have been taking the piss for a while now. I flat out refuse to buy from them anymore. Buy potatos and cut your own chips, and get a fresh fillets of fish from the fish monger, works out soooo much cheaper and tastes better too
