I've seen a lot of Julie's and not once have I seen a characterisation as original as Jessie's. Both of their voices are incredible and suit the score perfectly. Wow.
Jessie Mueller's voice is absolutely beautiful !! She sounds like an angel !! Joshua Henry is so good in this production !! Who ever paired them did a wonderful job, their voices blend seamlessly !! Rodgers and Hammerstein would be so proud !!! How I Loved it !!! Luv Ya !!
Had the pleasure of seeing these two in the show on Broadway, but there's something special about seeing them sit and sing and act our socks off even during a studio interview. Love Jessie, but Josh really blew me away here. His "If I Loved You" made me cry with him, twice. Wow.
THANK YOU FOR THIS! Delving into the genius of Rodgers and Hammerstein is wonderful as it is, but Jessie Mueller and Joshua Henry are absolutely DIVINE perfection! I cannot wait to see Tony night. I'm rooting for this show so much.

Isn't this show supposed to be set in Maine? Or did they change it for the revival? My one complaint as a native Mainer is the accents. Not so great. The voices and characterizations are INCREDIBLE though!
Billy Bigalow is a carnival barker so his accent wouldn't be Mainer, because he isn't from Maine. Not sure we heard enough of Julie talking to determine quality.
Mike, that makes sense on Billy’s part, though I’m struggling to understand which part of the States he’d be from based on his accent. As far as Jessie’s goes, I’m also basing my appraisal off of when she played Carrie. It was puzzling to me then, too!
Jessie Mueller can literally do ANYTHING with her voice and it’s all FLAWLESS👏🏽👏🏽😍😍
You got that right.

I'm obsessed by how fast they get into character, stay in character, and then snap out of character as soon as the piano stops.
9:58 for Jessie and 15:00 for Josh!
Nothing lovelier than listening to Jessie sing the beginning of “If I Loved You” and watching Susan’s face! She’s in heaven!

This is a musical theater duo you never you needed and didn’t know you were craving for.❤️
THANK YOU!!!! Joshua Henry and Jessie Mueller are too perfect for words. (Lovely piano arrangement on "If I Loved You" is the cherry on top.)

hpfan me too. I don’t know Jessie Mueller, but I’m rooting for Joshua Henry.
Just in case you’re wondering the Jessie Mueller magic starts at 10:00
Outstanding display of singer/actor! Absolutely beautiful!
Lovely analysis of the music and the scene construction
Was anyone else not breathing when Josh was singing??? Was it just me??? That was intense!
So amazing. Stunning voices and performances!!!
Josh and Jessie voices are just effortless and beautiful! Cannot wait for the album!! Great video!
First Carrie Pipperidge, then Julie Jordan? I can’t wait to see her play Nettie Fowler!!!
Jarrel Brannon wait for 20 years i guess lmao
By then Laura from DEH needs to be Carrie or Julie
Joshua Henry... what a powerful voice and presence!
So grateful for George C Wolfe! Congrats on the Emmy!
Oh my God I’m dying right now. This is perfect. 😍😍😍😍😍 Theater Talk always makes my day.
THANK YOU for this video! Please do more breakdown videos like this, so great to see an actor's real thoughts on the material!
Joshua is incredible!!!
Fabulous artists. Can’t wait to see this on Broadway.
She has such a glorious soprano 😍 sigh…

I saw it from the first row last night, and yeah, her accent was puzzling. Couldn't understand her sometimes. But her singing was divine as always .
