I just ordered a fitted washed linen sheet for my twin bed with the code. I am obsessed with linen but its pricey. So between the code and paypal pay in 4, I can at least start my way to a full linen set. Just one piece at a time
Girl, don’t hurt yourself just to get a video out at a specific time. Get the sleep you need and save your work for later. We are happy to wait a few extra days for your videos if it means that you don’t end up burnt out because of the stress and exhaustion that comes with these projects. Please take care of you first!
For me it's giving "Soldier, Poet, King" vibes, like the Atlas moth is the soldier, the Luna moth is the Poet, and the White Witch moth is the king. I fricken love it!!!
I first read this and was very confused like “ why are you talking about a mass murderer from death note” then I remember that prickly’s real name is Kira 😂
Subscribers+Mother Nature: since we gave her insects and trees, lets now give this human moths Kira: *mesmerized* let’s make a outfit from this amazing creature!
Two things that helped me level up my sewing that I think everyone should know about: 1. Use a walking foot! They are so helpful in getting difficult fabric (like lace, faux leather, thicc layers of fabric, etc.) through your machine. I highly recommend them. 2. I *love* the book “ Patternmaking for Fashion Design,” it is by far the best thing I’ve ever read for sewing, and has helped me be able to actually pattern draft and be able to do so fairly easily (if math is easier for you than draping, or you don’t have a mannequin, I think drafting becomes fairly easy, especially the more you practice). I hope this helps! I certainly know how stressful it can be to have an idea in your head that seems so beautiful, but keeps coming out terribly :/
White witch moths!! I swear, I rarely hear people talk shoot them, it makes me so happy to see them get the recognition they deserve I think I have to make something north-related now, maybe as some embroidery, appliqué, or piecing on all the fun vampy outfit inspiration you’ve given me while I make pieces for my wardrobe, haha
This is SO COOL - and what a gleeful demonstration of the growth of your channel, seeing you actually make these decadent fantasy confections that you used to only design. i love the layering of all the textures!!
I absolutely love all of these! They each give such unique vibes, with the Atlas moth being more bold (I love the sword in the reveal), the lacy one being more delicate and the Luna moth one being really mysterious and witchy
You never fail to amaze me ! How you get to do all this is mindblowing. All of these jackets look so cool ! Besides, let's appreciate your sense of editing and aesthetic in your videos (especially the reveals), it is just chefs kiss levels of great ! Take care of yourself and some well deserved rest.💜
For lacey or stretchy fabrics there's water soluble paper that you can pin your difficult fabric to and sew right through. You just dunk the finished thing in water, scrunch it around and the paper will dissolve. You can also use tissue paper, it's a bit more fussy to remove after, but still a viable option
It is giving Into the Badlands vibes the costuming on that show was stupendous. But in all seriousness this is one of the loveliest moth related projects ever made!
9:51 try to put tissue paper under your fabric and then sew true the both layers, after that the tissue paper will rip and u can remove it very easy, but it will solve your problem. This trick u can use on any tipe of fabric that causes this problem
Just a tip on embroidery, when you are doing a big area of a filler stitch, it is very helpful to line the shape you are filing using a backstitch, once you’ve lined the area start filling, going on top of the backstitch and reinsert needle under the backstitch. It helps pull you thread more evenly so that you won’t have croissant shapes lol. I have no idea if that makes sense tho😅
I cannot overstate how much inspiration for character designs your videos give me, and I have too many characters so it’s honestly a problem. I love these jackets so much omg
These are all gorgeous, but I especially love the atlas moth one! the colors are fantastic and definitely give the fall vibes I wish were happening right now
My gf loves moths, and once told me that one of her former co-workers believes the world was divided by people who love butterflies, and people who love moths. The former being beautiful and easy to love, and the latter being sometimes strange, but worthy of love. This channel has really shown me the beauty of moths. It also rekindled my wish for a sewing machine, so hopefully that'll be a skill I aquire in the near future
Cannot imagine you'll ever see this but a rotary cutter changed my life. It took a 2.5 hour patchworking job down to *ten minutes* i'm not kidding. All your work is gorgeous and the process can totally be therapeutic, I also understand that. But if you wanna cut down on time-spent anywhere, get a cutting mat and a name brand rotary cutting tool ❤
I really like how these turned out. They look very majestic and mystical. I’m surprised that the lace one is really hot, but probably because it’s synthetic material. I’m now a desert goblin so I’ve learned this all to well. I recommend putting tissue, tissue paper, or wax paper of any kind between the feed dogs and the offending fabric. It should help the fabric slip over the feed dogs as they’re supposed to. The stiffer the paper the more it’ll dull the needle, thin wispy paper like tissue paper is better but it can rip more easily. But I prefer ripping paper then dull ass needles. 😂 if you can find embroidery hoops at the thrift store I can’t recommend them more. They truly make embroidering 100% easier.
This was just amazing! The reveal was so well pit together, I was waiting for a movie release date. Also, look at you making mockups!!! I'm so proud of you Craft Gremlin!!!
whoa, you actually did an atlas moth design! i remember first suggesting that moth in a premiere that one time! its so great to know that you actually did it! even though im switching to a new account, i just want to say here that i think all of the garments are great and i love them!
If I can recommend next time sewing the difficult lace. Try putting a peace of tissue paper underneath it to make feeding it through easier. Really great video!
I like the red one! Very pretty the prup one looks very flirty and romantic and the white one looks like it would be on the front cover of a young adult book where the main character is finding out her powers
If you do go back and end up lining the sleeves, i highly recommend just doing a straight sleeve rather than the same pattern pieces. It'll help keep your puffs in place as well as being much faster and easier to put together!
First of all; super concept and great job! Tip: use fabric glue for little design patch fabric parts, and embroider separate on strong material, cut and use as a patch. after the glue drying, u can stitch one neat line around. no pins, more easy!
The Atlas moth bolero came out particularly stunning, loving the goldenrod accented in rust combination. But for some reason the Albino Luna moth was giving me Northern Water Tribes vibes😊
A helpful tip for future lace/sheers projects, get some Stitch and tear interfacing or some tissue paper and use it behind/between the layers to give a little bit more body to the fabric. It gives the feed dogs a bit more to grab on to and not suck the fabric down.
These all look so good! At some points I do wonder how much Kira actually knows about sewing- but that's honestly fine. A few things she could've absolutely utilized in these intricate designs is Satin stitching and tearaway paper. Satin stitching is a zigzag stitch where you put the stitch width extremely wide and the stitch length extremely short- It makes for a very nice stitch to put on different kinds of patterns or embellishments. Tearaway paper is used as a stablizer for thin/light fabrics! Which would've made the use of lace much easier :)) Hope y'all learned something from this :D (Love the content, keep it up
i’ve watched this video multiple times at this point because you’ve done such an amazing job!! the designs, the music, the filming, i’m literally in awe of what you’ve created.
ive been watching your videos for like a year and a half now, and ive always espcially loved the sewing ones. i recently got s sewing machine and i didnt realise how much even just watching your videos has helped me, not only with design, but actually sewing. thanks for your chaotic videos, and the chaotic techniques that come along with them! sending all the love
These are all so fun, but the atlas moth is by far my favourite. I love seeing multiple textures in a garment, so even if some of them clash a little, I find it to be interesting to look at. It also feels the most 'complete', and I look forward to it making an appearance somewhere down the line when it is not "boil thy brain" levels of hot.
you KILLED with the reveal footage!!! you are a huge inspiration to me! my goal is to learn how to make my own medieval revival clothing that i can't seem to find anywhere....so i plan on just making it myself, and learning how to make clothing in general at 15. this is a lost art. your projects have such a unique and beautiful style. never stop making these please!
Wow they are all fantastic. Has given me ideas for Whitby Goth weekend outfits. One thing I have found that helps with sewing finicky fabrics like lace, organza and chiffon is using tissue paper between the feed dogs and the fabric. OK you have to pick bits of tissue out of the stitching at the end, but you don't have the fabric getting chewed up.
Something you might try for lacey (or anything else that's sliding around on your machine) fabrics in the future is to put some paper under it. It'll give the feed dogs something to hang on to better and once you sew it together you can rip the paper off and it wont hurt your project.
This was really cool. I love it when you make whimsical costume designs like this. Could you do a video where you thrift old jewelry and paint on it like rusted jewelry and stuff like that? I think that would be really cool. Maybe you could even mold plants and mushrooms onto them too...go wild!
I used to regularly stay up till 5 AM (now I wake up at 5 AM for work 😅) and everytime I watch your videos it takes me back to those highschool summer nights so thank you for that ✨
Now I have a mighty need to make one of these for my elven witch of the wilds (aka bog witch), and my elven forest druid. Thank you for the inspiration and the small lesson in draping.
i sewed my first corset top with a pattern i made on my own body and it turned out kinda ugly but it's also my pride and joy and you're such an inspiration! i love every single video you make and all your designs are amazing... i am genuienly so happy i found your channel , even though it took me many months to channel your energy and try to do anything myself
You are truly amazing. The ideas and the complexities of every project keeps me coming back. Completing every piece of your vision for us to see. Please keep it up because ur so talented.🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
finally binging all the videos i’ve missed on the big airbnb tv in the living room - just waiting for one of my roommates to ask what i’m watching, so i can start infodumping i now also know what the recurring purple scene on your tv is, thanks to this being a roku tv agdsjdkdhsj getting a lot of inspiration to start designing stuff i will never make once again, especially thanks to the lunar moth bolero! time to stock up on iced coffee for motivation

I was totally expecting you to say you'd be leaving the third for next week, because I would have totally been cool seeing just two of those designs. All three in just a week is mindblowingly beautiful

Jellyfish dress when?
I don't have the money, but silk sheets would DEFINETLY help with my sensory issues in the future
Ok but hear me out pirates of the Caribbean themed armour gown/dress???
Also Halloween idea the fae of the fall??

Cinderella rat levels of productivity is my new favorite phrase of all time
More esoteric equivalent: tailor of Gloucester mouse levels of productivity!!
Best complement ever😂
For me it's giving "Soldier, Poet, King" vibes, like the Atlas moth is the soldier, the Luna moth is the Poet, and the White Witch moth is the king. I fricken love it!!!
OMG YESSS
This is the Most galaxy-brained take yes yes yes yes correct.
yess
Kira is truly embracing her woodland queen aesthetic
I’d call her queen and follow her into battle
I first read this and was very confused like “ why are you talking about a mass murderer from death note” then I remember that prickly’s real name is Kira 😂
In the atlas moth one I would march into war for her
@FruityisFruity me too
I'm never going to be able to sew a French seam without thinking "to ensure these sleeves always have a rivalry with the English" again.
"Artistic gremlin hours" should be an official term. Very relatable for artists far and wide XD Also absolutely beautiful boleros, moths are awesome
Subscribers+Mother Nature: since we gave her insects and trees, lets now give this human moths
Kira: *mesmerized* let’s make a outfit from this amazing creature!
Kira, baby I am so proud of you. No acrylics or spray paint anywhere in sight, true character development 🥹
Two things that helped me level up my sewing that I think everyone should know about:
1. Use a walking foot! They are so helpful in getting difficult fabric (like lace, faux leather, thicc layers of fabric, etc.) through your machine. I highly recommend them.

I hope this helps! I certainly know how stressful it can be to have an idea in your head that seems so beautiful, but keeps coming out terribly :/
Seconding the book -- I reference it all the time, and also just page thru it for ideas.
Is the author Helen Armstrong?
The book with this title and this author is so expensive though .__. I found it for 204€ 😭😭
The reveal was especially epic this time! ❤ the Atlas moth style would work so well for a renaissance fair look! 😍
MORE MOTH STUFF!!!!! I’ve loved watching your videos and have especially loved your moth related videos!
12:08 "Late night gremlin hours" would be a GREAT name for a podcast
kira you never fail to impress, the whimsigoth forest entity vibes are IMMACULATE aaa
gosh youre so freaking cool. id kill to have a friend like you to just sit down and do some bad ass crafty shit with
cries in lonely adulthood of crafting alone lolol
White witch moths!! I swear, I rarely hear people talk shoot them, it makes me so happy to see them get the recognition they deserve
I think I have to make something north-related now, maybe as some embroidery, appliqué, or piecing on all the fun vampy outfit inspiration you’ve given me while I make pieces for my wardrobe, haha

I can't get over how absolutely STUNNING the reveal footage is !!!!

YAY MOTHS!!! STARTED HAPPY STIMMING THE MOMENT I SAW IT
im always in love with the music choices in these vids
You never fail to amaze me ! How you get to do all this is mindblowing. All of these jackets look so cool ! Besides, let's appreciate your sense of editing and aesthetic in your videos (especially the reveals), it is just chefs kiss levels of great ! Take care of yourself and some well deserved rest.💜
THE WAY I JUST GASPED

This is just pure talent (and a shit ton of work)! Those pieces are AMAZING, and the reveal is just soo beautiful!!
It is giving Into the Badlands vibes the costuming on that show was stupendous. But in all seriousness this is one of the loveliest moth related projects ever made!
The reveal was a CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE
9:51 try to put tissue paper under your fabric and then sew true the both layers, after that the tissue paper will rip and u can remove it very easy, but it will solve your problem. This trick u can use on any tipe of fabric that causes this problem
Kira ! this is gorgeous i love love it:) aslo you need to make a 4 poster bed where all the posts are trees!!!
THAT’S SUCH A GOOD IDEA
Oh dang now I need that too
The reveals are amazing! I think the white one if my favourite. But all beautiful!
I think this is my favorite set if things you've made yet, absolutely gorgeous 😍
atlas moths are my absolute favourite!! love how they all came out but that one i love the most :D
I cannot overstate how much inspiration for character designs your videos give me, and I have too many characters so it’s honestly a problem. I love these jackets so much omg
Me and my friends went to the Renaissance faire as moths this weekend these would have been peak costume design.
I feel like these should be stage costumes for a midsummer night's dream
I was not expecting how dramatically the reveal was shot and edited??? It slapped so hard I loved it!!!
kira pls share the secrets of how u are able to have enough energy and motivation to both start and finish these projects
These are all gorgeous, but I especially love the atlas moth one! the colors are fantastic and definitely give the fall vibes I wish were happening right now
These final reveals are getting so fantastical and amazing! Like a fantasy TV Series intro!! Absolutely loved them all!!!
The sleeve fluffies on the first design give me SO MUCH serotonin ugh Kira you're amazing 😭🫶🏾
My gf loves moths, and once told me that one of her former co-workers believes the world was divided by people who love butterflies, and people who love moths. the way u hold that dagger while moving boxes around fuels my anxiety so much XD
i am so obsessed with the atlas moth one, it looks like an autumnal jaskier and i live for it.
I really like how these turned out. They look very majestic and mystical. I’m surprised that the lace one is really hot, but probably because it’s synthetic material. They're all incredible but the Atlas moth one is my favorite - it radiates fantasy main character energy in the best possible way.
Libras being indecisive actually explains a lot about me, wait..
Wonderful video so far, excited to see the finished peices!
This was just amazing! The reveal was so well pit together, I was waiting for a movie release date.
Also, look at you making mockups!!! I'm so proud of you Craft Gremlin!!!
whoa, you actually did an atlas moth design! i remember first suggesting that moth in a premiere that one time! its so great to know that you actually did it! even though im switching to a new account, i just want to say here that i think all of the garments are great and i love them!
as the new account, i can confirm
If I can recommend next time sewing the difficult lace. Try putting a peace of tissue paper underneath it to make feeding it through easier. Really great video!
These look and feel like something you would see at NY fashion week. I could totally see an entire fashion line inspired by moths.
0:40 that's a decently big dead moth
First of all; super concept and great job! Tip: use fabric glue for little design patch fabric parts, and embroider separate on strong material, cut and use as a patch. after the glue drying, u can stitch one neat line around. no pins, more easy!
The Atlas moth bolero came out particularly stunning, loving the goldenrod accented in rust combination. But for some reason the Albino Luna moth was giving me Northern Water Tribes vibes😊
I want to crochet pieces to make a whimsical boleroooo now. I love themmm
A helpful tip for future lace/sheers projects, get some Stitch and tear interfacing or some tissue paper and use it behind/between the layers to give a little bit more body to the fabric. It gives the feed dogs a bit more to grab on to and not suck the fabric down.
The music, the feral elven energy, just superb!
I love all the reveals but this one is just superb and has to be my favorite! 🥹
the moths would be flattered at how gorgeous these turned out.
These all look so good!

The concepts and the finished pieces were amazing already, but the reveal footage has me SLAIN.
the spots make them look so mothy!!! i absolutely love these designs!!!
These are like a whole other level of construction and intricacy and like general amazingness oh my god
i’ve watched this video multiple times at this point because you’ve done such an amazing job!! the designs, the music, the filming, i’m literally in awe of what you’ve created.

Washable embroidery stabilizer cut into strips works great for helping feed seams on sheer fabrics like the lace!
Something you might try for lacey (or anything else that's sliding around on your machine) fabrics in the future is to put some paper under it. It'll give the feed dogs something to hang on to better and once you sew it together you can rip the paper off and it wont hurt your project.
I have one of those awful dress forms, and finally padded it out with quilt batting a really rough jersey knit cover and it has changed my life!
This was really cool. I love it when you make whimsical costume designs like this. Could you do a video where you thrift old jewelry and paint on it like rusted jewelry and stuff like that? I think that would be really cool. Maybe you could even mold plants and mushrooms onto them too...go wild!
The music and katydids at the end gave me goosebumps. I like them all but I think the Luna moth one was my favorite!
The reveal gave me major Reign vibes and I love it
I used to regularly stay up till 5 AM (now I wake up at 5 AM for work 😅) and everytime I watch your videos it takes me back to those highschool summer nights so thank you for that ✨
she is an entirely new clan of magpies in a trenchcoat, and i want to join
These are gorgeous! I really love the luna moth, but all of them are just so striking!
I’m seriously about to design a character out of these outfits this is SO BEAUTIFUL
2:20 I was just chilling until I began to recognize the Wii sports music, then it was added to the myriad of random tunes that play in my head all day
Now I have a mighty need to make one of these for my elven witch of the wilds (aka bog witch), and my elven forest druid.
I'm actually obsessed with these and wish desperately that I had the time to learn how to sow omg,, I bow to your skill
As with everything you create, I love them. The dramatic sleeves are a need for my brain. Moth theme is just the cherry on top. ♡♡♡
You are truly amazing. The ideas and the complexities of every project keeps me coming back. Completing every piece of your vision for us to see. Please keep it up because ur so talented.🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
I could watch videos of you not even getting to the project...just random chatter. You're so entertaining and likeable.
starring at the reveal like: o______o wooow how can she be so beautiful?!
How are you this talented and only have like 200k subs, gurl your designs should be on a runway right now. Also I NEED THESE MOTH JACKETS!,!
finally binging all the videos i’ve missed on the big airbnb tv in the living room - just waiting for one of my roommates to ask what i’m watching, so i can start infodumping
i now also know what the recurring purple scene on your tv is, thanks to this being a roku tv agdsjdkdhsj
getting a lot of inspiration to start designing stuff i will never make once again, especially thanks to the lunar moth bolero! time to stock up on iced coffee for motivation
Wow this moth jacket is so awesome
I love them!!! Ahhhhhhh! Also I love the drama you always put into your reveal footage, it brings me a lot of joy :)
your stuff just keeps getting better and better. THIS IS SO COOL
I came to this after seeing a $119.00 garment advertised here on RUclips. Wonderful job; they are really great looking.
🎉
Your detail work here is astonishing, you really poured yourself into this one and the resplendent goblin energy is immaculate, tens across the board, I'm seething with jealousyin the best way
All of them turned out amazing, but I love love LOVE the Atlas Moth one!!! 😍
STOOOOOOP!! This is so perfect! All day there has been a moth sitting on a picture on my kitchen wall and then you dropped this. This must be a sign 🤭
All three of these are incredible, now I want to do something with dragonflies for my LARP character. These are so good you have no idea.
Beautiful. I love everything you do with insects. Absolutely inspiring
I was totally expecting you to say you'd be leaving the third for next week, because I would have totally been cool seeing just two of those designs. All three in just a week is mindblowingly beautiful
