To make these jobs a bit easier I turn the steering wheel so the calipers are more accessible .

The outer pad actually should be fitted into the piston and if you have waterpump pliers you don't need a compression tool to retract the piston into the caliper. Finally, if the brake fluid reservoir had been topped up to reflect the pad wear, you may need to syphon some fluid out when retracting both calipers to prevent it overflowing..

All very good with one extra possibility … the disc is removable with one star shaped screw and this would make the rust removal with the wire brush a little easier

Ok, you do make it seem super easy haha. Would it be the same procedure to replace the breakpads on an f82? 🤔

Brake pads are not hard of a job, anyone can do it at home with some basic tools. So give it a try. Never done an F82, but majority of front brakes work the same. Calipers and pad mounting could be different but all else should be the same.

    Hello,
There is a mistake, you have inversed the pads, the exterior one should be into the brake caliper.
Please correct it in the description, brakes are security elements so be aware.
    Good luck.

Thanks for the info, but the pads were installed correctly. They have the pad wear indicator on the inside pad and this pad must be installed there as the cable would not be long enough to connect.

@@4WheelBuilds Or maybe you did use the one of the brake caliper pad other side in external of the current side in video because there is only one that have the connector. I'm sure 100% it will be that.
