    Brilliant. Just as well I watched this first before committing. I forgot I didn't have the right caliper reset tool..

    Good detailed description and video. Another minor point that I would add is that when screwing the brake piston back in I try to spray a little silicon spray into the rubber sleeve of the piston so as to keep it malleable.

    It’s also possible to move the disc by unscrewing the small holding screw that keeps it on the hub … then you’ve got a better access to clean where the sliders go. In theory when you are screwing the piston back in, you should also open the brake master cylinder as you’ll be pushing up the fluid level. I just wish I had your nice garage to work in.

      Thx 1881Gordon. Drills I purchased separately never checked if they have a twin pack deal. I have seen some other tool combo packs from Ryobi so quite possible they might have one.

    Little tip, don't let your pads get too low. Mine were metal on metal, and due to the piston being too far out, my reset tool (as featured) was too long to fit in and work 😳

      @@4WheelBuilds I didn't. It was as if the internal screw had come to the complete end of it's thread and locked. After much swearing and effort, I had to exchange the caliper ☹️
      Lesson learned, I'll be changing the pads 3/4 through their life from now on.

      Oh dang, good tip in that case. I'll look into it as to how the caliper could be saved in such a situation. As you say it lot of anger and swearing could be saved on such an occasion. 😀

      Forgot to say, I changed the discs too whilst at it. You do not need to remove the carrier. Very easy job.

      indeed SirRowan, well spotted the discs are nearly due for replacement, but wanted to leave that for another video ;)

    Thanks, but I'm not sure you should actually start your wheel bolts with the driver. Start with fingers, then use the power.

      You are right, this could end up with a stripped bolt. Have you ever had that happen?

    Getting the piston back is the most difficult and you didn’t show it. Pointless.

      Around the 6 min mark its explained how the caliper needs to be pushed back in and the process is also shown sped up, happy to hear constructive feedback how this could be better shown next time so it can be improved. Cheers
