I feel like halo reach had one of the best depictions of the covenant ever. They seemed more alien in reach than they did in any other game. I love that the games and books always talked about how they were unbeatable and so superior that despite all our efforts we would lose the war no matter what, There was that feeling that every human knew that the covenant was just too much for Mankind. I feel that reach perfected this depiction of them. Because no matter how badass Noble team was, no matter how many covenant troops they killed, no matter how many missions they completed, it didn't matter. The covenant was just too damn powerful, and seemed that the extinction of Humanity was certain. but we fought against all odds, we refused to disappear , we fought against destiny itself even when everything seemed to be lost for humanity, we still fought for every planet for every inch of soil, but in the end they made a terrible mistake... they underestimated us. and you already know how this story ends.

DISCOVERING HALO and walking on its holy ground.The very thing that It is the awaited transcendence of a higher existence once lit . . . . the anticipation would be unreal even if accidentally unleashing the parasite. When you think about it from a non human perspective the covenants life would have been a life worth living for filled with cause and a sense of purpose.

I just desperately hope that Halo Infinite................is a halo game. I don't want THIS to only be in my memory. I want more of THIS. And Halo Infinite is the best chance at getting more.

i would be more willing to play with the covenant then the UNSC. The covenant are a unique and peculiar faction with all theyr reliogious beliefs and cast sistems. The UNSC is just a banal and steretypical human army: -there is always the same black dude who is a jester. -there are always focused, cold women -there is always a "hero" that carries the whole team...
Leaving the classics as is is a good thing, but their follow up halo games arent doing the series good. They are TOO different & feel like a different universe. Plus the way they do the stories are mediocre & dont make sense. Thats the problem. 343i focuses too much on branching away from bungie's halo & screw up what halo really is.
Dale Gribble IMO, you're correct on your first point. I agree, it feel quite like a different universe since Halo 4. On the other hand, I don't consider their story telling mediocre... just different and sometimes refreshing (But way not perfect let's face it). Maybe 343 is effectively trying to branch away the Halo series from what it first was, but maybe there's a precise reason the public isn't aware of. (Patent bullshit or whatever)

Halo games don't build off of each other like they should, like the story is. They are similar but they are like their own little world. Not cool. Fore example, with the major improvements in computer processors, software, the gaming platform among other improvements, by Halo 6 alright? We should be seeing duel wielding, vultures, Hornets, Cobras, Grizzly Tanks, Spartan abilities, armor abilities, all vehicles you can carry shit in and not merely just drive or blow shit up with, we should be seeing more free and Halo like story if all these Halo aspects were kept constant. We should be seeing ODSTs, we should be seeing missions where you can assault to take over or destroy covenant ships like illustrated in Halo 1 AND the books. We should have cyclops to man and heal shit. We should have UNSC bases that we can travel to like in Halo Wars. Armor piercing rounds like in Halo Reach, Gremlins from Halo Wars, ODST drops like in Halo 2 and ODST. Alien storylines like in Halo 2 with the Arbiter. Alien only missions like in Halo 2. COME ON? Halo's Maximum potential? :/ Not seeing it.

It's unlikely. Guess it'll have to stay a dream.

They are sticking to a business model similar to Cod's: Launch games every 3 years (cod is every year lol) under the same engine. That's what's going to kill new content. New games under the same engine cuts a good chunk of money spent to make better profits. Usurprisingly, besides the amazing team of developers and artists bungie had, every time the next Halo came out they started off from scratch. Yes, that includes a new engine. I never meant that they couldn't make good music, in fact, i quite like all three of those tracks. I just said that they have not made anything that could compare to pieces like Halo 2's "Reclaimer", "Heavy Price Paid", "Sacred Icon Suite", "Rue and Woe", and "Epilogue" or the various iterations of "Under Cover of Night" and "Brothers In Arms" from the original trilogy, just to name a few.
It's a fantastic piece, I especially like how they mixed in the original theme. But I don't feel like it's better than Marty O'Donnell's work. His stuff always set the tone perfectly, and, while I believe that Kazuma Jinnouchi can put out some incredible work, I don't think that he can top the iconic music of the original games.
Goddamn it Marty, you made something beautiful, a work of art, for a videogame that for some people would've just been a paycheck. Halo wouldn't be the same game without it...

while i love the Halo Ce soundtrack it didn't really have a consistent covenant theme so i didn't use any of the tracks from ce most of it was either UNSC,masterchief, Forerunner and flood themes. imo the covenant's main theme began in halo 2 with the arbiter's trial the music first heard when u see the destroyed halo ring halo 2,3 and legends soundtrack continue to sound similar or have elements of that particular covenant theme so i consider it the main theme of the covenant

I'm going to say this and anyone can disagree with me, but i think the Arbiter needs his very own game where he's is the main character. My idea is that it would be like a blend between the previous Halo Games and the 2019 God of War game along with a few things. 1. it would be an open world where you can travel to different planets, command armies/fleets and battle enemies such as the Flood and The Banished. 2. Like 2019 God of War, you can upgrade and customize with new armor sets and weapons throughout your journey. 3. You can play the Campaign in either Single or Co-Op like in the previous Halo Games. 4. you'll also be able to switch weapons from 1st Person/Shooter to 3rd Person/Melee.

Playing as an elite minor, battling the unsc and flood, doing acts of honor, and other such things, taking place in halo 2, from assault on cairo station, invasion of earth, the great schism, and other events, eventually being killed by a marine sniper on sanghellios. Ranking up from minor to shipmaster to the end. That would be litterally the greatest game of all time, no debate... It'll never happen though... :( let's hope it does though!

The covenant are a unique and peculiar faction with all theyr reliogious beliefs and cast sistems.
The UNSC is just a banal and steretypical human army:
-there is always the same black dude who is a jester.
-there are always focused, cold women
-there is always a "hero" that carries the whole team...

Leaving the classics as is is a good thing, but their follow up halo games arent doing the series good. They are TOO different & feel like a different universe. Plus the way they do the stories are mediocre & dont make sense. Thats the problem. 343i focuses too much on branching away from bungie's halo & screw up what halo really is.
Dale Gribble IMO, you're correct on your first point. I agree, it feel quite like a different universe since Halo 4. On the other hand, I don't consider their story telling mediocre... just different and sometimes refreshing (But way not perfect let's face it). Maybe 343 is effectively trying to branch away the Halo series from what it first was, but maybe there's a precise reason the public isn't aware of. (Patent bullshit or whatever)
You should look at a youtuber named as The Act Man. He points out the campaign of halo 5 was poorly written & had alot of issues.
Halo 4 was a nice start & spartan ops had its moments, but halo 5 was so out of place & screwed up.again you shiuld look at The Act Man's review on the halo 5 campaign

343 has ruined halo and now pc modder fans are making something possibly better called project contingency or something like that and for Star Wars battlefront galaxy in turmoil is being made because battlefront EA sucks ass, why do us fans have to take matters into our hand now? It's great that were doing so but we shouldn't have to in order to get the game we all truly want. However, if both of those things successfully come out to be what we hope they are then maybe there could be a great new generation of gaming ahead of us, but there won't be if we let the greedy fucks that took over our beloved franchises and ran them into the ground continue with this unacceptable bullshit. Halo games don't build off of each other like they should, like the story is. They are similar but they are like their own little world. Not cool. Fore example, with the major improvements in computer processors, software, the gaming platform among other improvements, by Halo 6 alright? We should be seeing duel wielding, vultures, Hornets, Cobras, Grizzly Tanks, Spartan abilities, armor abilities, all vehicles you can carry shit in and not merely just drive or blow shit up with, we should be seeing more free and Halo like story if all these Halo aspects were kept constant. We should be seeing ODSTs, we should be seeing missions where you can assault to take over or destroy covenant ships like illustrated in Halo 1 AND the books. We should have cyclops to man and heal shit. We should have UNSC bases that we can travel to like in Halo Wars. Armor piercing rounds like in Halo Reach, Gremlins from Halo Wars, ODST drops like in Halo 2 and ODST. Alien storylines like in Halo 2 with the Arbiter. Alien only missions like in Halo 2. COME ON? Halo's Maximum potential? :/ Not seeing it.
***** don't worry. I'm aware and up to date on all of that. However in the topic of future games I can say all my proposal still applies. I've actually spoken about this to many other halo gamers. I've posted this comment in many videos. I've learned a lot since then and turns out it is all possible. Just will take lesser time then you may think.

I know the story wants to say goodbye one day with John and Cortana together as human beings along with a new relationship between Arbiters people and humans as the flood and covenant remain defeated and properly put down with Halsey alive and political and domestic change affecting public opinion in a way that many UNSC secrets are revealed to the public for the publics good. etc etc. but yea. It's unlikely. Guess it'll have to stay a dream.
+Dylan Begazo Yup. I've spoken about the lack on innovation countless times during the launch of Halo 4 through here RUclips and reddit. They are sticking to a business model similar to Cod's: Launch games every 3 years (cod is every year lol) under the same engine. That's what's going to kill new content. New games under the same engine cuts a good chunk of money spent to make better profits. Usurprisingly, besides the amazing team of developers and artists bungie had, every time the next Halo came out they started off from scratch. Yes, that includes a new engine. That's why Halo REACH looks different from its previous Halos. Each game was its own BOOK. Now there are only CHAPTERS under one book :( I finished writing this at this point of the song 14:30 :'(((

Halo 5's Scavengers is a really good take on the theme.
I never meant that they couldn't make good music, in fact, i quite like all three of those tracks. I just said that they have not made anything that could compare to pieces like Halo 2's "Reclaimer", "Heavy Price Paid", "Sacred Icon Suite", "Rue and Woe", and "Epilogue" or the various iterations of "Under Cover of Night" and "Brothers In Arms" from the original trilogy, just to name a few.
It's a fantastic piece, I especially like how they mixed in the original theme. But I don't feel like it's better than Marty O'Donnell's work. His stuff always set the tone perfectly, and, while I believe that Kazuma Jinnouchi can put out some incredible work, I don't think that he can top the iconic music of the original games.
Goddamn it Marty, you made something beautiful, a work of art, for a videogame that for some people would've just been a paycheck.
Halo wouldn't be the same game without it...

while i love the Halo Ce soundtrack it didn't really have a consistent covenant theme so i didn't use any of the tracks from ce most of it was either UNSC,masterchief, Forerunner and flood themes. imo the covenant's main theme began in halo 2 with the arbiter's trial the music first heard when u see the destroyed halo ring
halo 2,3 and legends soundtrack continue to sound similar or have elements of that particular covenant theme so i consider it the main theme of the covenant
There was the "Covenant Dance" but it had a very different tone from the ones in later games. Kind of groovy.

I'm going to say this and anyone can disagree with me, but i think the Arbiter needs his very own game where he's is the main character. My idea is that it would be like a blend between the previous Halo Games and the 2019 God of War game along with a few things.
1. it would be an open world where you can travel to different planets, command armies/fleets and battle enemies such as the Flood and The Banished.
2. Like 2019 God of War, you can upgrade and customize with new armor sets and weapons throughout your journey.
3. You can play the Campaign in either Single or Co-Op like in the previous Halo Games.
4. you'll also be able to switch weapons from 1st Person/Shooter to 3rd Person/Melee.
this music takes me back to so many memories. Long nights with me best friends and it brings a tear to my desert dry eyes. To those that commited their entire lives to halo, chief, cortana and the survival of the human race. my heart goes out to those that fight day and night on installation 04 04b alpha shard 03 the ark and numerous other conflicts that are replayed every day. and i now say. this is victor 05-3-sierra0117(snowierben117 on ps4 and xbox 1)were on station and ready to assist.
This background and the music makes me wish we've seen more of the Great Schism in the Covenant, playing as some Elite, or even the Arbiter, fighting Brutes on Halo and other planets.

I don't understand why am I so addicted to this franchise. I love it's games, novels, soundtracks and everything. It's also to mention that 'Halo' has an anime movie too.
Playing as an elite minor, battling the unsc and flood, doing acts of honor, and other such things, taking place in halo 2, from assault on cairo station, invasion of earth, the great schism, and other events, eventually being killed by a marine sniper on sanghellios. Ranking up from minor to shipmaster to the end. That would be litterally the greatest game of all time, no debate... It'll never happen though... :(

Halo has changed the new devs have alienated the franchise from it's past just to snuff out any trace of the "dreaded bungie" the newest fans have only one care, multiplayer and even the music has been violated.
