2:20 was the best. Insane.
They banned the use of any selfie sticks as a result to this kinda moments.
It might be a smashed phone or gopro for a person, but it could mean the life of a rider if they get it through the visor at 200 mph or get swirved into a house wall because of it.
The amount of balls, love, and courage to be on those supersports doing what their doing is amazing but I never have the time or money to go see them cause I really wanna experience it for myself

This race is off the charts. The skill, guts and concentration it takes to ride this hard for this long is beyond mere mortals. Wow!!

I do not have first hand experience but I would say they are up there with combat fighter jet pilots for courage , guts , concentration and skill.

From 0:34 the woman's reaction is visceral and powerful. Her initial reaction of amazement turns to fear as she realises how close these guys are to the razor edge between life and death. Great reactions to see. She is the gem of this video.

@@mkimber She was taken back the pressure wave. A video doesn't do it justice, the first time something flies past you that close at 150mph you can feel it in your chest, it's like standing right in front of one of those massive rock concert amps designed to be loud from 200 yards away and suddenly they start blasting. It actually scares people who aren't used to it and not expecting it.
There is no other sport in the world more extreme than this. In fact its beyond extreme. Respect to all the TT Riders, you guys are great.

I'm not sure exactly why they do it; but they certainly don't do it to entertain us. More probably its because riding 200 mph on a razor's edge with death on each side makes you feel alive like nothing else; and we just happen to get to enjoy the show from the stands (or internet).

The endlessly fascinating Isle of Man races. That kind of speed on a public road, with spectators not behind fences and barriers but right next to the racers. It's an amazing event, really one of mankind's premier spectacles of any sort.

I was 10 years old and my grandfather took my brother and I from Dublin (us kids visiting family in Ireland) to The Race…absolutely blew my mind and became an obsession from that point forward.

I always imagined what would happen at this place if you gave these Riders MotoGP bikes... My God... The endless potential in speeds.
fadedsideways I'm pretty sure the superbike class is on par with GP technology and equipment. The top riders have full factory backing, just like the GP riders.

GP bikes would fall apart before completing a lap. They're built for the track mate. TT bikes are essentially production bikes e.g. built for the roads.

The only thing more amazing then hearing, seeing and feeling that kind of speed and power up that close would be to be able to go back and be 8 years old again. So many things and experiences I would do differently if I could turn back time about 50 years.
