Happy belated birthday, Tara. Have to say it is so very good to see you skipping and dancing on a trail again, I am guessing the down time at the cabin for rest and treatment and time w/friends and family has paid off. Also good to see you both out exploring with Lucille again!
We went to Wilmington last September for my birthday weekend. It was awesome! I love it there. We're thinking about going back because we didn't get to see everything. I would love to take one of those boat cruises. Thanks for the videos! God Bless from SC!
I'm from Wilmington, but now stuck in Iowa. You have successfully made me very homesick AND envious! Great video, glad you finally got Lucille out! Happy birthday, Tara!
Well, happy birthday Tara for the days we cannot follow! And Chad is the funny guy, so did he give you a beautiful card and flowers and maybe one of those new air frying type products! (LOL)
I was there in Wilmington in November for my birthday, my air bnb was right by Ft Fisher. I even found the Peach Cobbler and love it. I can’t wait to come back soon!
Your video brought back a lot of memories when I was stationed in Wilmington. We had a little hike across the bridge that you mentioned. Also, we collected toys for Toys for Tots in the Cotton Exchange during the Christmas holiday. We would PT on the beach, as well. Good times in Wilmington. Thanks for sharing.
Seen you guys eating breakfast at Huddle House in Dillsboro Saturday morning!!! We restrained from interrupting you guys breakfast with family but wanted to be like HEY!!! Love yours vids!!!
After seeing you, Chad, in Rodanthe, NC at Camp Hatteras Campground, I was hoping that you would be doing your usual area visit videos for the area that would also include the how to videos such as the rear view camera instalation. ❤😂
Love your Atari shirt. We bought our young kids (now 51 and 54) an Atari computer for $600 when I was making $1,000 per month working my ass off. We knew computers would be the future and wanted our boys to be ready. Worked!!!!!
I love Chads how to videos but I really enjoy the exploration of the are you camping too. It helped me go places with my big rig. Thank you for your service and happy birthday Tara🎉.
Wilmington is only about 1-1/2 hours from where we live. We like visiting there. It’s good to know that we aren’t the only ones who forgot to show our food. Sometimes hunger takes over. ~Belinda & Duane
Hello. We stay 8 miles south of south of the border 3 or 4 times a year. We always go to Wilmington for lunch. We also take a ride on the boat in your video. When people ask where we are I just tell them to. Watch your video. We are at lake Gaston. Till the 10th. A favorite campground in the east. Travel safe. Robert Woods.
Your vids are the best! As a matter of fact after seeing Chad go to NRVTA I had a change in life calling and got certified last February as an RV Tech and have been having a ball helping folks move along. If you guys need help in my area of South Tampa just reach out I pledge to help all full timers get outta town when there in trouble. And the service call is on me! keep the vids coming just great to watch!
It's fun watching other people explore your home town. The Fort at Fort Fischer is fairly easy to find if you start at the visitors center. It's neat for kids, but not all that *wow* for anyone who's not super into the specific historical aspect. It's cool you went to the FF Hermit bunker. That whole area is amazing.
OMG...I wish I knew before you filmed. I'm gluten free. The pilot house has a shrimp scampi on the menu. But you can sub in their rice pilaf instead of pasta. It's amazing.
Traffic, To many people, infrastructure…that’s exactly why I always traveled and visited stuff during the work week and stayed home on the weekends, or volunteering to work weekends. I never had to compete with the masses on Friday nights and Saturday and Sundays.
I need to introduce you to the high viscosity technique to mix the wasabi into the soya sauce. Start with a little sauce then mix before adding more. No lumps!
Glad to see the whole fam damly doing just fine, holding your own at the desserts too. Thanks for the invite to tag along, always enjoy your travels, no matter the distance.
Oak Island and South Port have the "old Wilmington" feel. South Port waterfront has several good restaurants and the weekends usually have a fishing tournament or some event going on. If you go to South Port.... The Smokehouse is a must (if you like brisket).
We live about 45 miles from Wilmington and go there to that KOA often. Have family there to visit. Other things to do are to visit the USS North Carolina. There is a miniature railroad museum that also has some full size pieces, also downtown. There are some seasonal items like the Azealia Festival. The NC Aquarium was in the area where Ft Fisher is located. Aquarium is nice. This campground has grown tremendously overtime despite the fact that they are landlocked.
Its been so cool in NC this is one of the coolest May months we have had in NC. I turned my heat on over the weekend. Normally by now we have had a 90 degree day and we have only had a couple of 80 degree days. Great video And it rains every weekend.
I have to say, you two hit some terrific places to eat. Happy travels! Oh, and I hope you make your way to Cape Cod. When I start my venture I'll be making a B-line out there.
The area that campground is, it is very bad traffic and road construction, and of course, down by the beaches during the summer and the traffic is heavy. There are some delicious places to eat downtown!!
We visited Wilmington a few years ago when our son was training at Camp Geiger. Would say USS North Carolina (which I see you have on your list) and the Front Street Brewery are must dos for your next trip. Thanks for sharing.
Not ridden in six months!? Oh, the humanity! I feel bad when I go more than a couple weeks without riding my bike. When we were living in a house, in CO (not far from where we are again for a few weeks!), I rode year-round, for commuting, grocery runs, or just tooling around in the hills. I also took a few road trips on it, 5K to 6K miles. Now that we're living in this RV, with no sports car, my motorized options are the monster truck and the bike, so it gets out a lot, but no more road trips, just local stuff. But I don't have to worry about cameras, just the tank bag, and now trying to figure out a better way to mount my Android so I can use it for navigation. I used to just put it in the tank bag, which has a clear pocket. But now that pocket has gotten less clear, and the phone keeps overheating. I've read reviews on a lot of phone mounts, but even the expensive ones have reviews talking about the phone coming loose on the road. Not ideal. I have "rain gear", in the sense of some thin junk I got from a dollar store, that I figure is good for one real use. So far, I haven't used it, and now it's not in the case, so not useful for sudden rain. Sometimes those rides with traffic are just so frustrating. It's still good to be out on two wheels, but surrounded by idiots, and always ready for someone to do something potentially fatal, isn't ideal. From here, I can ride a few miles and be on mountain roads, with minimal traffic. I think we're overdue for one of those rides.
Another fantastic tour! I live here in North Carolina and you have shown me places in Wilmington that I never knew about. Now I'm going to definitely have to camp at the KOA. Subliminal message. Tybee Island.....
My neck of the woods. Well, close to it; I’m outside of Raleigh. My wife wears those Hokas and they are gigantic! Hers remind me of the ‘Jimmy shoes’ in Seinfeld 😂 Do you have trouble parking that beast (truck) in those small downtown areas?
Oh my goodness! I'm an egg Benny nut myself! (Bethany not Rob). I get eggs Benedict everywhere & I said the EXACT same thing this morning! I like a little bit of lemon/tangy taste on mine! Some places it just tastes bland but the places you go & can taste the tangy, love it!
WTG Chad with the Atari Retro Shirt and singing a 90's song "I saw the sign" lol Ur definetly an 80's kid.... fur sur. And i thought it was rude to have ur hat on at the dinner table especially in a restaurant....:)~
Great to see ya'll out on the road again. Happy Birthday to you Tara. Chad, it was great to see you get the old gal out and limbered up some, talking about Lucille, not Tara. So ya'll never gave a final report on the cobbler, which was better ? Hope your road trip offers a little better roads at the next destination. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels.
We were there at Wilmington KOA December’21. Was a good place to stop in after the keys before heading back to Kansas. The draw bridge by river walk was loudwith the trucks slamming the seams of bridge. The Bellamy mansion downtown was awesome as was the horse drawn carriage tour.
We lived in Wilmington for 11 years and loved it. We did our first rv trip at that KOA in dec 2019. Yes, the traffic is horrible! We were just there in May.
Local tip don't park in a pay lot when you can park in the public garage for much less. Several public garage choices downtown. Don't miss eating at Caprice Bistro or Savorez, both excellent.
Hahaha at 16:40 my boyfriend’s sitting at Yosake’s bar 😂 Hope y’all enjoyed Wilmington!!
I can't be the only one here that had Seals and Crofts singing in my head the song summer breeze every time she mentioned jasmine in the video. ☺️🌺
I have one thing to say. Thank you for your service, Sir. You have my undying gratitude and respect.
Being on a bike ride is never boring.
Sometimes service and ambience combine with the actual taste of food to create the package experience of A+ 😊
GOOD YOU GOT THE BIKE OUT!!!
Happy belated birthday, Tara. Have to say it is so very good to see you skipping and dancing on a trail again, I am guessing the down time at the cabin for rest and treatment and time w/friends and family has paid off. Also good to see you both out exploring with Lucille again!
It is great to see that Tara is feeling better! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!❤
We went to Wilmington last September for my birthday weekend. It was awesome! I love it there. We're thinking about going back because we didn't get to see everything. I would love to take one of those boat cruises. Thanks for the videos! God Bless from SC!

You have a beautiful hometown and we look forward to returning!! ☺️
Wow! I just moved to Wilmy from Omaha, we have almost a reverse situation...
You’re neither sugar nor salt Terra, a little water won’t kill ya. Enjoy the ride.
It’s been years since I’ve been to Wilmington, the area is nice. Love the music you choose for the videos. Can’t wait till the next one.😊

❤Sssoooooo happy you shared this one! We will definitely look at this park when we travel back to NC 😊
My mom is from Wilmington and lives there now. I spent most of my summers there with my Grandma and Grandpa.
Love your Atari shirt. We bought our young kids (now 51 and 54) an Atari computer for $600 when I was making $1,000 per month working my ass off. We knew computers would be the future and wanted our boys to be ready. Worked!!!!!
Chad you are a lucky guy, I wish you both all the best. A respectful kiss to beautiful Tara. Hugs!
Thank you for your service.

Cobbler flight looked yummy! When you're in the Asheville area, check out Baked Pie Co for a pie flight! 🥧 😋
You're so young! I'm 57 and I feel great. You're so young
We live in Wilmington!!!! Wish we could meet y'all. Y'all are brave taking the 450 downtown...lol. go see the battleship.
Happy belated Birthday from Bill, Davia and of course Boomer too!

Happy birthday, Tara. Always celebrate another year. I love your selection of music for the video. Also love riding along on Lucille via the camera.

We love Wilmington NC. We live 35 minutes north ... on the way to Topsail Beach.

Subliminal message. Tybee Island.....
We made a quick ride to Tybee back in 2018 👍🏼 ruclips.net/video/fCm8KvggDfE/видео.html
Tara..... it took a while for me to get used to my Hoka shoes. Now they are very comfortable.
Happy Birthday Tara, you are beutiful. I am moving to Swansboro NC in three weeks and your video makes me want to visit Willmington

Am flying into Wilmington in 3 weeks. A good friend is finally retiring. Been going there since the early 80's.
Awesome! We hope you have a great time!☺️
We love Wilmington. In fact, our youngest daughter is about to start college at UNC Wilmington this fall. So glad you’re enjoying our beautiful coast.
Hard to believe Desert Storm was 32 years ago. Like your vest
You should take the ferry ride from Fort Fisher over to Nee Brunswick.
Happy Belated Birthday 🎉

Happy🎉Birthday 😊Tara 🎉❤
Thanks so much! 💖
We lived in Wilmington for 11 years and loved it. We did our first rv trip at that KOA in dec 2019. Yes, the traffic is horrible! We were just there in May.
When we end up down that way we stay at Ft Fisher Recreational Area (Military).
Happy Birthday Tara and Love the Vintage Atari shirt.
Thank you!!💜
We had a great visit to Wilmington two years ago, will have to check out the KOA next visit. You guys are looking good on the bike.!
Hoka's are the best, big or not, great t for the feet especially if you do a lot of walking
That cobbler made me hungry!
What a great area
Local tip don't park in a pay lot when you can park in the public garage for much less. Several public garage choices downtown. Don't miss eating at Caprice Bistro or Savorez, both excellent.
The big red beast can't go in most garages. 😳
Happy birthday!!!!🎈🎉🎁🎂
