Yes, Prince female proteges would be fantastic exploration. Vanity, Apollonia, Jill Jones, Sheila E., Ingrid Chavez, Andy Allo...impressive roster of talent.
It was a popular video on MTV (when MTV was still barely decent). I saw him perform this live on the subsequent tour! Also had the fortune of seeing him on back-to-back nights on the Purple Rain tour in 1985.
Another great reaction! I love both of these songs, but Gold is my song! I have loved that song ever since the first time I heard it and it has been on repeat ever since. It really is, in my opinion, a perfect song! So catchy with an amazing message. You said, "Can we love him anymore? I don't think so." I can't tell you how many times I have told that to myself regarding Prince, but I still find that when I say it, it only takes about a short time before I am again amazed by him which makes me love him even more than I did before. Also, your question about who the girl is singing harmony with Prince. Well, that's Prince. I looked up the people involved in making this track and it didn't show any other singers on vocals other than Prince himself. I also looked up the instrumental on RUclips. It included the background vocals but not his main vocals, and you can clearly hear. It is all him on all of those vocals! Just shows you how amazing Prince is that he can change his voice so much that he could be his own background singer and you don't even recognize it is him! Truly incredible. Great reaction again! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Thanks you so much! And Interesting I never thought of that. I just assumed it was a female vocalist who is uncredited. But I know he has experimented in the past and making his vocals more female sounding. Yeah I have some really fun Prince videos planned coming up!
Never realised Do it All Night was released as a single, as It's probably the worst song on the album! I'd definitely pick Gold as the winner. (also, the Gold album is fire from start to finish)

Yes. I met Ingrid one, lovely woman...
Somehow I missed your comment. I thought it was a good idea to though. I’d really like to do it!

Do It All Night sounds a fraction too fast to me.... Is it just me?
Hmmm maybe? Maybe that’s why i wasn’t as about it. Maybe I’ll compare it when I listen to the album:)
