    Why bed splits? Yoga for Front Splits on a Bed is a great 10-minute sequence on how to do splits to work towards your front splits with a combination of dynamic and static stretching that also targets the tiny muscles in the front and back of the hips as you work harder to keep your balance on a bed. You can also do this routine on your yoga mat, although you might be surprised how much practicing on a bed can help!

      I tried a lot of videos to do the splits but none work it did not help do you know any videos that will help and you video is amazing!

    Omg, I was almost able to do it!!!

    Oh my gosh I got so much closer than I've ever been! I've been working on my splits for the past month now (quarantine goal) and I felt like I wasn't making much progress until now. I've been stretching every day, but these stretches really really helped me get closer! Thank you!

    I’m on the curvy side but I’ve been practicing beginner yoga, and I’ve noticed I’m more flexible. I wanted to try doing the splits and other yoga moves with more flexibility a go . After trying this routine once I was able to get as close as I’ve ever gotten attempting the splits ! I’ll keep practicing so I eventually can do it fully! Thank you ! 😊

    Hi Joelle, I found this tutorial and worked consistently on my splits every night for a month and finally got my splits on the bed. I tried the same method on the floor and I'm nowhere near the floor or as flat as I am on the bed. It's so disappointing and so frustrating 😑 but I will still try to not be so hard on myself and go back again to master the splits on the floor. Thanks for the tips. I'm really hoping I haven't lost it all and can do it on the floor with more practice and less fear.

      Great job Juanita ! Patience is really the key to a huge pose like splits. Don't be disappointed, you've already come so far! Stay consistent and you'll keep progressing over time. I'd also recommend alternating this one with my splits mobility practice if you aren't already - that one will help develop more strength for splits on the floor

    OMG thank you so much I had a really bad leg injury that meant I lost almost all of my flexibility and I have tried so many different techniques to get my splits and none of them have worked but I tried this and got my splits in 3 days thanks so much!

      I will have to work on my lizard and half split yoga pose to fully be able to do the splits so my body can get used to it and especially with having fibromyalgia

    Day 2, week 4 done! What an adventure for me! I didn't have my bed in an Army tight make up today and got my right foot tangled up in the top sheet we keep on it to catch Sassy's hair.... I had to laugh, then send ultimate gratitude for rewind features, then did the practice! And Wow! Who knew? Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine myself doing a half split!     I just tried and it actually works!❤️thank you so much. I practice this every day and it's better and better everytime. On bed i did my splits. But on floor it's not best. But every day it's better on floor. I don't know if you understand, sorry but I am from Slovakia🇸🇰

    I've been training for 2.5 months now. Still no split. I can't wait. I feel like I progress and then I go back with the soreness and it keeps going back and forth. I wish it was continuous progress. People make it look so easy on youtube.

    This is my favorite split stretches video on RUclips! I've gotten so much closer to my front splits with it. Would you be able to do a center splits stretches on a bed video? That's my next goal after getting my front splits

    Wow, thank you so much!! 🩷 just wanted to ask, how come it is easier to do the splits on a bed than on floor, and when u try doing the splits on the floor after achieving the splits on the bed, it is nowhere near as close as it is on the bed??

      It's because the bed allows you to sink in, so that the feet can actually be slightly lower than the hips - the floor doesn't offer that flexibility :)

    I've been doing this routine for about 1 month, but now I'm feeling a great pain in my sciatic nerve (left leg) everytime I stretch it. Is it normal?
    Btw I love doing this routine

      Good for you for being consistent, and I'm glad you like it! You shouldn't be feeling actual pain, so if you are it's likely a sign that you've gone further than what your body is ready for. I suggest taking some time to back off and rest that area before coming back to this routine. If sciatica is a regular issue that you struggle with, you might also like to try my sequences for sciatica (ruclips.net/video/9_LsXTKxR7E/видео.html) and piriformis syndrome (ruclips.net/video/w0QBEy3tghM/видео.html) to help you find some relief.     3.5 Months in, not there yet. But definately progress. If I stop for 2 or 3 days it feel like go backwards in progress.

      Progress has been so slow. I feel like i go really far into it and then the inflammation just springs me back a couple of steps. Currently i am really far into it. Crotch milimeters away from the ground (in bed). My back leg still bends. I can touch my head to my knees. But also in that i spring back. And i have to restretch every time. I never imagined doing the splits woult take this long. I started doing it 6 days a week for the first two months. Now i do it 5 days a week, because its taking just so long to get there. 😭

      I am so clooose! I am like on a 1 inch on the bed. (I am hoping 1 or 2 months to complete it. The last inches took the longest.) I guess once i get there i should just practice staying in that possition for a long time? I do this video every weekday.

    Doing split on ground it hurts 😭 the skin

      If it hurts, that's an indication that you've pushed too far. Never push into any pain! Much better to back up and experience the pose where it's right for you

      Patience and consistency are probably the two biggest factors to gaining flexibility, so I would say don't rush it and practice every other day! You can also alternate it with my splits mobility video (ruclips.net/video/ChkCy-kd1t0/видео.html), which could help.

      Don't give up! As I say in the video, consistence and dedication are the key, but it is a journey. Be patient with yourself and progress over time - it will come 🙂

      Yeah I was kinda worried at the start when I tried with Anna McNulty's video and it didint work completely. But after I did it for more than 2 weeks I became really flexible. After that i came to this video. It helped me a lot.

      Please don't give up! Like I say in the video, it took me yearS (plural!) to get there, but it is possible. How consistently are you practicing it? Have you tried alternating with my Splits Mobility video? (this one: ruclips.net/video/ChkCy-kd1t0/видео.html)
