People topdress then core but this is a little odd. I've been doing this a long time. Never seen solid tine, topdress, core. Must be very early season.
as a 35 yr superintendent, this may be the most ridiclous video I've ever seen......you deep tine with a pull behind tractor, but hand toss sand? hard to believe you could find workers to acually do this!
Yes. I am extremely confused by this as well. It is almost like he's decided this is a member event and wants to see how many show up to help. Then he decides to use every piece of equipment he has for the hell of it. I don't understand.
I've been a super for 15 years and in the golf business since I was litteraly a child. I've never seen something so outrageous in my life done on a golf course. Whoever is getting paid to come up with the aerification program needs to be fired yesterday.
lol wathcing these guys throw shovels to apply sand makes me feel great that i have a spreader and I only have my 5 acres. I dont see how any golf course cant justify having one. shame
Making your employees throw sand by hand and sweep in with brooms when you have a pro pass and drag is the most whip cracking ridiculous thing I have ever watched. Another super trying to outthink the room.
if your worried about putting a heavy topdresser on the greens after the deep tiner then topdress in front. probably save 100 hours of labour
Jesus get yourselves a topdresser and a few drag mats !!!!!
That's not how great golf courses do it guy. it's called work.
I’d rather top dress & drag in with machinery than manually ! The luxury of boat loads of staff/ volunteers ey ! Lol 👍🏻🔧
What a fantastic job!!! Hats off to you and your team
Attention to detail will produce a great result. Well done to Grant and his team. Roll on the 29th March!
Wow. Thats a lot of manual labor. You'd think they could at least use a front end loader to load their carts instead of shoveling.
Good effort!!
I’m so confused. Why did they spread and broom in the sand by hand after solid tining, but then use machinery after pulling cores?
wow can't imagine having that kind of disposable income, i do this with machinery and fast
Why core after putting down sand are you not just taking alot of that out?
My exact question.

Dam !!! Where did you find a group of men that were willing to be beasts of burden !
Where can we get those reels for the green mower ? Do they throw the seed down?

100 percent truth. The only thing being topdressed by this method is the super’s ego.
You have it all wrong. Please remove sand amd start over.
