He wasted money on seed when the green naturally heals since the grass is a creeping turf. We beat up greens like this every 2 weeks during the growing season for thatch and speed, they heal within days to a week. We dontalways punch holes every time, but doing this, light top dressing and rolling is how you get extremely fast greens constantly, 11 to 13.5 on the stimpmeter...before you say your wrong I'm a superintendent of a private course with a million dollar budget and no one would waste it on seed when verticutting creates new shoots for the grass to expand and become 3 pieces off of one piece on the rhizomes/stollens. hi robbie. i have a question. should I add sand to my front garden? what benefit would I bring? and what type of sand?
