As a doctor I want to say that, swaddling for short periods of time is likely fine, swaddling for sleep can put your baby at risk of suffocation. You should stop swaddling your baby when they start to roll over. That's typically between two and four months. During this time, your baby might be able to roll onto their tummy, but not be able to roll back over. This can raise their risk of SIDs,

The kid was playing happily...why to swaddle this much tighter?? Not comfortable for his/her muscle,( not a doctor but still say) kid was happy to play freely until he comes. Baby face tells everything.
No. They were restricted in womb for 9months. Swaddling gives them comfort.. as babies have reflexes which startles them. Swaddling gives them the comfort of womb..

Exactly how I did it for my kids! Does work well, avoiding injury, and doesnt get loose!

Swaddling is good for babies. Especially new borns as they are used to being inside the mother's womb and it takes time for them to learn to adapt.
They love getting swaddled. It's only not recommended anymore when they start to learn how to roll over.
