Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 Review: Super Light Flexible OLED Display Laptop
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 май 2024
- Huawei's new flagship laptop is unbelievably thin and light, weighing only 980g and measuring about 13.3mm at its thickest point. Despite that, the machine is not lacking in power, running on Intel's latest Core 9 Ultra. The 14-inch OLED screen is also gorgeous, using Flexible OLED panels. Windows 11 is the software here, but the laptop also has some Huawei specific software touches that play nice with HarmonyOS.

I still have my matebook X from 2019 I think...
It's awesome I use it more than MacBook
Same, had the 2018 Matebook X pro, which had a MX150 Nvidia GPU. It was heavier than the 2024 one at 3 pounds, but it was still able to run older games at 720p. They sadly moved to solely using integrated Intel graphics.
Imo, a 3 pound laptop with a small graphics or battery size oomph is still a great idea.
At least the integrated arc GPU is a big boost for the 2024 model.
forr what? emails and youtube. For that you dont need anything more than an m1 air or core ultra 5 anyways
@@PKperformanceEU work, I do a lot more than just email
Also have 2018 x pro , now I know what I will bay in the future
Superb laptop! Another fantastic product from Huawei! 🎉
this is probably the best windows laptop if you are not a dedicated gamer
True, but if you're not a gamer a macbook will probably be a better laptop for you thanks to the arm chips.
@@houssamalucad753so if Huawei is allowed to buy snapdragon elite and update this model with it for the next interaction, then it will be the best
@@houssamalucad753macbook is too restricted for most people.
arm chips?@@houssamalucad753
ive been waiting for you to get this! thank you!
Every news about Huawei is my most favorite 🤩
0:45 The thinnest and lightness of the laptop in this demo is highly impressive. This demo is all enough to convince anyone about it lightness. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾 5:51 The ability to control your phone through the laptop even by touching the phone app on the laptop screen is incredible and it illustrates the power of the ecosystem.
Amazing laptop from huawei ! I can see that they're always improving their design. I hope that the us ban on Intel and qualcom won't hurt them too much. Maybe a new laptop with kirin chip in 2 years i think
Yeah I saw somewhere that huawei has already developed their new Kirin chip for laptops and Tablets it's performance also equals to that of apple's m3 and it could come with the new tablet or laptop.
have been waiting for this review for a while after seeing this laptop going around Bilibili! thanks :D
Been waiting for this review.
Always been impressed by Huawei, when it comes to hardware they are supremely good
Looks awesome!! Thanks for your amazing stuff always...
Ben looking forward to seeing you do Huawei tablet with OS Harmony software.
Bro it's totally out of the box mad crazy laptop. I can see why the US freaked out. It's a real winner and game changer Huawei well done 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 ❤
Nice!
Any chance we will get a vivo x fold 3 pro full review? Tempted to get one.
Great job, Huawei -- always interested in good Chinese alternatives. Thanks for the review!
I hope you take a look at the Matepad 11.5 S as well.
Hi Ben, Can i check how is hinge sturdiness? Many thin and light laptops like the Asus ZenBook 14 or VivoBook S series has a very loose or wobbly hinge. To the extent, if you keep the laptop on your lap and type the screen wobbles badly.
Hello! How much does the screen bend? up to what degrees?
Did they remove the headphone jack???
it is when US slaps a sanction on it that you know a generation of huawei products has peaked
Another perfect work from huawei company when it comes to innovation huawei is the one who are progress when it comes to over all performance in technology even they are restricted in other aspects.they also raising the competition among the other brands like samsung and apple. Look what apple pad 2024 they adapt the light weight that huawei first did but still its not bezelles.huawei also is the go when it comes to premium gadgets but will not compromise its quality and your budget. look at there phone tablet laptap and watches they give it innovative upgrade not like other brand that it took so slow for them to innovate (hi,apple) 😂theyr just making out of money from simple upgrade thats not worth it.and it cost much.again congrats huawei,by the way im still happy using the huawei matepad 13.2 its 4months already but its make me like it more and more😘😘😘🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
When is the review of the blackview hero 10 coming?
Ben, im waiting for your x100 ultra review. Will you be reviewing soon?
Can't wait to see a version of this running Snapdragon X elite
That's 🔥
I want it ❤
Hi there, Ben. How are the bezels. I know it's the laptop is so thin and looks so good but from the video, the bezels don't even look that thin. It's thin, but not that thin. Not in the top 3 or 5 thinnest bezels in laptops?
Hi Ben, where is Vivo X100 Ultra's unboxing or samples? Why so late?
Can you use a stylus to take hand notes?
Does the chassis feels like it could bend easily? My ultralight acer laptop bends by just being in my laptop bag..
Can you do a comparison with samsung edge 4?
I think this laptop is a kind of it's own. Even the price is great.
Just watched TechTablets and he confirmed the UK price of £2200 for the above model. Also, his battery life was around 6.5 hours which ties in with my experience with previous models.
Ben has fingers with made of titanium and a vice like grip lol!
I saw this on Amazon. For the money, it's not bad.
good morning ben
Does the mirror feature work with honor phones?
Yes cox Huawei tech n Honof under same roof
@@samsam-rd9os have you seen or checked yourself or any link it shows ?
Why are they not making windows phones?
Wish it's a tad thicker to accommodate an USB A port and also extra copper or vc for cooling. We all know that u9 will get throttled down! Single core R23 on u9 should be at least 1300+ not 1000+ !
When VIVO X100 ultra?
Hope they get into the company laptop biz
How did they get a modern intel chip i thought huawei was on the US blacklist?
this was released before the petty US gov did their bullying that only happened like a week ago
Wow. Wait for vivo x100 ultra vs Pura 70 ultra
I suspect your pricing is significantly below the actuality of Europe. The 2023 Matebook X Pro was £1800 in the UK for the base 16GB version with i7, so the base i9 will be closer to £2000. That is ultra-premium pricing for an ultrabook. Last year's never had OLED, 120Hz or 32GB options, so hopefully, these will come to Europe. Huawei does have pre-order deals, and after about nine months, prices fall; last year's model is now £700 off.
It's one of the best Windows ultrabooks on sale this year, and as the owner of two previous generations, I love this model. I have experienced that battery life is always overstated, and I can never get what they claim. I suspect OLED is 6-7 hours SOT in a day, maximum, doing office workflows. I have gotten closer to 16 hours on my MB Pro 14, and as the MB Pro 14 (M3 Pro) is now priced at £1900, the Mac would still be my choice. This would be my Windows choice in 6-9 months when the price is much lower.
these kind of laptop should come 360 capabilities
Why did huawei drop this right before X elite launch day? Core ultra 9 is how to put it, not the greatest, it puts up decent numbers to 8945HS and good battery too but it has so many graphic glitches from ARC igp, gonna take intel awhile to fix the drivers. Maybe just get 7840U if you want x86 thin and light, still very powerful and decent battery. While X elite claims to just steamroll 185H & 8945HS, and prices on X elite is superb. Lenovo slim 7X elite is 1200. X plus surface laptop can be as low as 999 with 16gb 256storage. And X plus is around or just slightly below 185H level, Qualcomm claims. With superior adreno compared to ARC or 780m, again Qualcomm. Probably matching M3, so M4 might be a bit more formidable, maybe around 5500XT level.
Playing game with touch screen on non-convertible laptop is crazy Ben 😂😂😂
I don't think Huawei consider that use case 😅
the only sad thing about this is its chip and it does make macbook air ugly with its notch and stupid asymmetrical design
I hope Huawei could be making new models in the future... as now the popular x86 processors from the USA brands INTEL and AMD and NVIDIA are banned by the US government. Although Huawei could buy x86 chinese own processors... could be not so powerful or efficients for a laptop (battery problems)
Amazing weight at 2.1 lbs.
Any giveaway for this laptop 💻, it's expensive..
Ben,
Sir
the video sound is screwed......only LEFT SIDE
Thx
Ben
Hope it is available in the 🇺🇲.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm perfectly fine using my trackpad, moving one finger and force clicking to select and drag windows, rather than raise my entire arm from the palmrest to touch the screen and move a window.
Probably the last Intel powered laptop from Huawei. Seeing how it was recently sanctioned, it's gonna be difficult to find Intel powered laptops in the future. If at all.
I think i'd go for tablet.
windows Android or ios?
No tablet can match this productivity. Its a suburb allround package with a exceptional price.
@@hermanstokbrood i think ipad is already matching on productivity aspect
@@FRANKWHITE1996 depends. Still checking android.
@@mahyadnaadlaw3112 No tablet can't match the easiness of a laptop when productivity is concerned. It's a hybrid with some concessions.
For a windows laptop design I prefer this Huawei than Samsung's hideous laptops. Imo.
It is shame that they got banned from using intel
It'll be the last Intel Huawei for many years, if ever again
its too expensive though
When US ban microsoft windows for huwaei laptop!! Then they could take linux and create a new powerfull distro. I love to see powerfull laptops pre-installed with linux
No ARM based CPU?
LOL, you didnt pay any attention huh?
I own two of the matebook pro units. They are great but the battery sucks, the thermals are also terrible. Now it's thinner and lighter that's not good, and with a more power hungry screen. I don't believe for one second 12-13hours that's just not going to happen.
But they are great value. They are not stable, the huawei chipset and BIOS is pretty crap, as is their own software suite which is ping to home pile of garnish.
But again the value is fair. Don't compare to a MAC because it's a totally different ball park, if you want 12hour battery a Mac is your choice. If you want a average thin and light at a budget you can't go wrong here. But expect hardware issues at some point, they are not the most ultra stable. And yes I recommended to friends who's also use and they also get issues.
chinese
I don't know how many of this laptop they can sell as the US has already banned Intel from selling CPUs to Huawei.
This is the last Intel Chip for Huawei. The ban doesn't apply to models already in production but for future models.
laptops are cooler and more comfy than smartphones
Sighhh.. sadly such amazing products will never be possible again.. damn the jealous US government
2026 Huawei will be back in the global market completely and you will witness much better products than 2024 or any company in the world.. Just wait till this year end many surprises are coming up
Put the damn laptop down😂😂😂
This laptop is so awesome, but I am priced out.
حط اللابتوب بالكاع مو طيحت حضي
last Intel Huawei.... it's banned
Who wants a slim overheating garbage ??! Stop this BS we want macbook pro 16 dimension laptops not these thin and light garbage!
"we want"? Who is "we"? You and your family are not our spokesperson.
junk
I just wish someone would review one that's black 😂.
Thanks for the review anyways 🫡
