Purchased the ultra 5 version with the same 2.8k OLED touchscreen, 16 gb ram, and 512gb SSD for £639 on the Huawei website!! What an absolute bargain!!! It'd be criminal to buy anything else.
@@NoorFraz-z1n it's really good. I've had no issues. I've played Football manager 2024 and Xcom so far and it runs beautifully. Football manager is very CPU heavy and it deemed the PC to be more than capable running everything at max settings with plenty of leagues. It is definitely very powerful and does more than enough for what you would use it for. Also it literally has not made a single sound since it arrived. No fan noise, nothing. Completely silent. Honestly the ONLY thing I would do differently is probably the position of the speakers. They sound great, but if you're in your bed for example and the laptop sits on your blanket, it occasionally obstructs the speakers. Not a big issue but it's there. Honestly, I would have paid full price for this and I would have been very pleased.
@@philipl.7188 lol i wanna buy a laptop for university and the only game i need it to run is fm, how does it run during matches? avg fps? im in between this and zenbook 14
I didn't know there was a version of non touch screen, are you sure you don't have that turned off. At least here in Mexico, the 14 has a 10 point multi touch screen
@@NoorFraz-z1n I don't use it for gaming so not sure about that, but I've done some 4K video editing in Davinci Resolve and it works great. Overall I am super happy with it. The screen quality is just unreal!
Adding HDMI port to monitor of laptop is not a big deal just like an normal monitor . In that scenario the laptop can also be used as secondary monitor whenever required .instead going for a capture card etc . Most of the manufacturer have failed to deliver on this .either they could not accomplish it or was technically not possible
How does this matebook 14 compare to the matebook x pro? They do seem very similar. The x pro looks a little smaller and lighter and has 1000 nits compared to 450. But huawei says it has 19 hours battery life compared to 12 hours on the x pro. How is that possible with the same screen size and same processor? Is the battery life different and better on the 14? And which laptop do you prefer if you also take price into consideration, and why?
I'm confused about which of these 2 laptops I should buy matebook D16 i9 and Matebook 14 ultra 7. please, guys, which one is better? Hi Chris, Please, I need help
@@IqbalEvolusi i have the matebook d15 2021, still fast until now with no major issue. Been using it for 3 years now mostly for programming, minimal gaming only.
3:2 is SO MUCH better, it's just more comfortable to get things done for everyday work, you just see more stuff and get more room to work with And never had any problem watching movies with it, I wouldn't expect a 14" to be used for that primarily
Just, been loving the tablets and laptop lately haven't ya Chris

Proper Usb ports and big hdmi, that's very appealing indeed

Yeah it;s touch screen in UK as per website

His review model doesn't have one but the actual retail product is touch enabled

Love you too Uncle Spurt
is it good for editing 4k videos in premiere pro or in da vinci? also which is a good laptop for editing video? is it matebook14? or matebook d16?
it makes 0 sense to get a laptop for video editing if you have the space for desktop PC.
This model IS touchscreen in my country (Philippines)... I suspect maybe its only your review model that didn't offer this.
