    Hi Dave, Is there any benefit in choosing the 90 over the 70 for a unilateral single sided high frequency loss

      Hi Ash, thank you for the great question. There are definitely extra features that can benefit you. However, these benefits depend greatly on the type and severity of your hearing loss as well as the ear piece you're using (you can hear the differences better with a closed custom-made earmold, while there are hardly any differences hearable when using an open dome.)
      Often it comes down to the situations you're in most of the time. The more communication with groups of people, driving in your car or listening to speakers at big conventions, the more the 90s will benefit you.
      Best way to find out would be working together with an audiologist. There are trial hearing aids that can get programmed to sound like a 70 or 90 device - we use them too for our hearing aid trials. Talk to your hearing professional, he/she might be able to help here. Because you need to decide if you get an extra benefit for your extra bucks.
      Hope that helps.
      Best,
      Dave

    Is this HA for profound loss ?

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  7 месяцев назад

      Hi. Yes, you can use it with a high-power receiver or a c-shell, then it should work for profound hearing loss.
      (Of course it always depends on the hearing loss - your hearing professional can definitely check that with you)
      Best,
      Dave

    18 hours is not much. After 2-3 years it probably won't be sufficient for a full day...

    • @hearingaids-Dave

      The rechargeable battery should still bring you through the day after 3 years. It is important to have a least three years warranty with these devices, so Phonak will replace them free of charge if the battery life should come to an end.
      Best,
      Dave
