    Thank you for your informative review Dave. I received these about a week ago and while they are not perfect, they help a huge amount. For someone considering these, don’t expect a miracle for $300 when most prescription hearing aids are $3,000 and up. I’ve found these take a few days or more to “play” with the ear tips, find the correct size to help stop the buzzing or feedback. For me, I go up one size. It’s a bit uncomfortable for a few days until your ear gets used to the tighter fit. I use the medium in one ear and the large for my other ear. Then the program and volume is a bit challenging. I need to change both settings in both ears depending on my situation such as being alone talking with 1 person or in a crowd of people. There’s no perfect setting to simply set and forget. Almost every situation requires a few adjustments which takes several minutes. BUT you can’t get much better for this price range. I’ve lost 70% of my hearing and a bit more in the other ear. With these, i can hear pretty well at a group dinner party, or I’ll say I can hear good enough but far from perfect. In my conclusion, they are definitely worth a try, especially if you can’t or don’t want to spend upwards of $3,000 for true hearing aids. Thanks again Dave for your review. It’s one reason I like these so well. But if true hearing aids would make me hear close to how I used to hear in my younger days, I’d probably spend the $3,000. Ive just known too many people that spent thousands of dollars are still are not happy. I’ll be honest, if I had spent $3,000 on these, I’d be extremely disappointed. Hope this helps some of your viewer make a decision.

    Is the size plug end you put on the end too big or too small if it pops up in your ear and is not as down in as when u first inserted it I push it back down in my ear a little while later it seems to again not be in as tight as it was, I'm using the smallest one so I can't go to a smaller one? Thanks

    Hi just want to ask can i use earmuff and cover my bte HA to work with grinder mchine , is there no problem sir ? Tnx for advise just safety of my ear.

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  8 месяцев назад +3

      Hi Jack and thank you for your comment.
      You can definitely use earmuffs for that, but they need to fit tight and should not squeeze the hearing aids and/or your ears.
      The best solution would be to turn off your hearing aids and use earmuffs while working with the grinder machine. If you have hearing aids with more than one hearing program, your hearing professional can save a "muted" program for you. So when it gets loud, you switch into the muted program and put on the earmuffs - that's what I would recommend.
      Hope that helps!
      Best,
      Dave

      The feedback makes these Audien Hearing aids useless, has the company do anything when you call? May first call did nothing to fix them, they gave me some instruction on how to use them like I'm doing something wrong. Basically, useless with that feedback.

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi. There are only two ways to reduce feedback with these devices: use a bigger ear dome (what you did) and lower the volume. Unfortunately, there are no better options.
      One more thing: I often see feedback issues when earwax has built up in the ear. You might want to let an audiologist or ENT check that.

      Dave

    Does it work for tinnitus?

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  2 месяца назад

      Hello. Although these hearing aids are not explicitly made for tinnitus, they can still give you some relief.
      Studies have shown that using hearing aids without a tinnitus noise generator can still bring relieve to the wearer. This works because the hearing aids amplify the sounds from all around, which kind of “covers” the tinnitus.
      So it is definitely worth trying these hearing aids. If they help - great. If they don’t - return them.
      Hope that helps!
      Best,
      Dave

    I wonder how many Audien Pro2 users know this?
    I thought the purple UV mode was not working/broken in my Pro2 charger. I only charged when the charger wasn't connected to a power source, because I didn't want to over-charge the charger when all 4 green lights were showing, "fully charged". I called customer service for some help and they sent me replacements, the entire kit...devices, charger, everything. The replacement charger didn't light up the UV mode either, until I eventually plugged the charger into a power source and the UV mode turned on and worked as expected. The charger does not activate UV when it's disconnected from a power source, electrical outlet or USB port. So, if anybody is wondering why the UV mode is not working on their Pro2, try plugging it in and see if it activates the UV. I don't know why Customer Service didn't just tell me to plug the charger in to resolve the frustrating issue?

    Strange question- will these stay in when users are running or jogging?

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  5 месяцев назад +1

      Not so strange 😉
      If you manage to get a right fit with the ear domes they will probably stay in the ear for a while. However, I would not recommend wearing them for these activities as they can be lost easily while doing sports.

      @hearingaids-Dave  7 месяцев назад

      Hello,
      You are experiencing a buzzing sound while wearing the hearing aids?
      Unfortunately, there are only a few options to have that. You can either:
      - use a bigger ear dome
      - lower the amplification, or
      - try a different hearing program
      Hope that helps.
      Best,
      Dave

    Do they relieve ear ringing?

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  4 месяца назад

      Studies show that wearing hearing aids without tinnitus sound generator can relieve ear ringing for the wearer. That's because the hearing aids amplify the surrounding sounds and the ear ringing is not so present anymore.
      You should try it out. If it doesn't work for you, you can return the hearing aids.
      Best,
      Dave

    How often do the wax filters need be replaced ?

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  5 месяцев назад

      That varies greatly. Can be fun every two weeks too once in two months, depending on the amount of earwax that is produced.

      I got them about two and and a half months ago, and didn't change the wax filters until today because one of the hearing aids was sounding muffled. I can hear much better now that I changed both of them, so maybe I should it do it a little more often!

      I will be buying a different pair of aids. Before purchasing, I will be contacting those sellers to see if they also have that same issue. Those who respond with a yes, I will cross off my list as a potential source. If they do not answer, then I will assume that the seller has the same issue, but just doesn't want to admit it.

    Hi! First of all, thanks for this video. So, I'm a 72 year old professional saxophonist, with moderate hearing loss, compounded, after decades of jazz gigs standing in front of the drummers' cymbals, by tinnitus (hissing). This combination makes both conversations and performing music difficult. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  Месяц назад

      Hi Jesse,
      first of all, as you're a 72 year old professional saxophonist, I think you're pretty cool!
      Regarding your question: is your hearing loss limiting you during gigs? It reads as if you're having conversations while playing.
      If the answer is yes: congrats, that's a challenging case for an audiologist. ;)
      AND an OTC hearing aid won't help you here.
      A possible solution might be: most major hearing aid brands feature accessories like wireless external microphones for their hearing aids. If you're wearing the hearing aids while playing and the guy with the clipped-on microphone (ie. the drummer) is talking, you might be able to hear him more clearly.
      However, you want to visit an experienced audiologist/hearing professional who can professionally assist you with this matter (ie. choosing the right hearing aid, closed/custom-made earpiece...).
      Hope that helps!
      Best,
      Dave

      Did you check if the speaker is blocked? Earwax or other stuff can block it easily and then you won’t hear with them anymore.

    How often to change the. ear tips?

    • @hearingaids-Dave
      @hearingaids-Dave  3 месяца назад

      That depends on the amount of earwax you're producing and can be between every 2 weeks to every 2 months.. As a rule of thumb: replace the ear domes when they turn yellow or when the hearing aid gets block with earwax.
      Best,
      Dave
