I have a problem with this product, where should I put the output to the return amplifier, to the OUTPUT SECTION or to the CAB RIG? I want to use it instead of the preamp in my tube amplifier if I enter it in the OUTPUT section, the 3 channel CAB RIG switch feature doesn't work on my amplifier
This seems similar to Vox's "Valvetronix" that they used in amps and effects pedals. I still have a Tonelab SE and a VT40X Amp, you can get similar results, but they are now a bit dated. I have heard these Blackstar pedals, and they sound best played clean.
I think Blackstar is preparing a new line of valvestate amps à la Vox Valvetronix ....they're gonna wait for the public response on those first...my 2 cents...
Vox done this years ago, i still have the Tonelab Se and VT40X amps. I don't think i will upgrading them, they may be a few years old but still sound good, with a smooth clean tone.
@@zakklee2556 Curious as to what you've heard. I was about to buy this and an Orange Pedalbaby. But if they're building a new series of heads w/ AB power section, it might be way more convenient. If it's class D (like the Black Spirit or BluGuitar or Kraken), I'm not interested. Class D amps always sound terrible to me in the room when cranked.

My third guitar amp since 1977. 1st Peavey classic . 1991 Crate Stealth 50. 2021 Line 6 Spider Valve mkII. One day I may make it to the present.

I did try that one and is a really good Pream Pedal
But the Dual Drive is has the Real Tube Feeling on it because is a TUBE Preamp
