Yeah, that reminds me of a song coincidence I had one time. My nephew and I were riding over a bay bridge leading into Seaside Heights New Jersey. We had moved out of state 12 years earlier and was just passing through during a road trip. While we were on the bridge I started singing this song "Sooner Or Later" by The Grassroots. He looked over at me as if to say, what makes you sing that song. I said when I used to come here about 20 years ago when I was a kid I always remember hearing that song playing on the loudspeakers on the pier while I was on the beach. After we parked the car right near the boardwalk. Within 5 to 10 minutes after we got there, we went to play one of the wheel games at Lucky Leos. It was a semi indoor sit-down game. So, just after we sat down and started to play the game, my nephew nudges me. I said "what? " With a surprising look in his eyes, he said listen. I was impressed that he recognized the first few notes. I said "WOW!"I told you! They still play that song here! Not only that, but it was also the very first song I believe we heard in the short amount of time we were there. I didn't win anything on the Wheel game but that song was my lotto for the day.

None other than Boy George. My late dad who was a straight laced gospel and country singer made the comment that his attire was not to his liking but he said that boy can sing. The song is about the terrible fear of alienation that people have, the fear of standing up for one thing. It's about trying to suck up to everybody per Boy George who was also one of the co-writers.

In the 80s & '90s, we had such great music. I think people were happier too. It was so much fun! A funny story (to me) My son At( about eleven ) on Saturdays & Sundays would wake me up in the morning and we'd play DJ, which would last for about 3 hours more or less. This song came to me. I said Culture club & he said do you know who they are? Yes, and because he made a screwed up face, I knew what he was referring to, and what hell does that have to do with all the tea in China? Just play it! Well, this was the song. I was kinda dancing around, And maybe he kinda liked it. The funny part was when he came home from school the next day, he told me, Thanks ma, I couldn't get that song out of my head all day long. I laughed my butt off. That's exactly why I liked it was because it was happy sounding and very catchy. It made you dance where ever you were! That's the 80's. Your generation really missed this time in music. November 22, 1984 - Thanksgiving night - I saw Culture Club headlining at Madison Square Garden. Boy George was awesome - great stage presence - what an entertainer! I know he went through some tough times, but is doing great now.

Back in the 80s found me living in a German high-rise (me being AD USAF), and the song by Boy George --"Miss Me Blind" used to get me in so much trouble! I listened to it all the time! I don't know why, but ever since I heard this song the first time I've loved it, and later on it became my go-to "feel better" song. I had no idea what they were actually singing about as a kid in 1984, but I always used to put it on the jukebox at the local pizza place in Iowa. XD To this day, it still always cheers me up a bit when I hear it. :)

But theirs always a group that always comes along that`s different and sticks in your heart forever. This is one of those groups among many others. I think... the song is about George's on and off again boyfriend John Moss (who is the drummer) who didn't know if he wanted to be in a relationship with him. I have such fond memories of this song... I only saw the video in like 1998 or something somehow it had always eluded me. Then it came on a channel one day and my mom instantly recognized it and turned the volume up. She always played the song when I was a baby (when the song came out). It's perfect... the lyrics vocals and the music (especially the harmonica) amazing!

Boy George is the lead singer and has a good voice, he always dressed exuberantly and had a huge following in the UK. I loved your reactions to this record, my children were born in the 70's and used to dance around singing away with them. Another good one is Prince Charming, again they are all dressed in costumes and there's a meaning behind it as well. Back in the 80s found me living in a German high-rise (me being AD USAF), and the song by Boy George --"Miss Me Blind" used to get me in so much trouble! I listened to it all the time! And at the highest volumes possible! The residents and the police were always knocking on my door telling me to turn it down! That is definitely a song you should react to!

I don't know why, but ever since I heard this song the first time I've loved it, and later on it became my go-to "feel better" song. I had no idea what they were actually singing about as a kid in 1984, but I always used to put it on the jukebox at the local pizza place in Iowa. XD To this day, it still always cheers me up a bit when I hear it. :)

My favorite when I was 3-4 years old. I was 15 when you were born young man. You probably heard this song many, many years later. During this time my parents my brother and I lived in downtown L.A. what’s is now the financial district. We grew up living above jewelry stores. But that’s a story for another day. Man great song and thx for doing a reaction to it. I was born mid 60s and was raised with country music for my parents. Early teens I found a love for Reggae music. But theirs always a group that always comes along that`s different and sticks in your heart forever. This is one of those groups among many others. You may have herd a young girl sing this on the voice I think earlier last year. The lead singer was a judge when she sung her version. Thanks again. Keep it up. Awesome.

Boy George (George O'Dowd) was a huge sensation that inspired a whole new sense of style for young people. Everyone did their take, or a portion of it. Just a celebration of individuality.
Boy George was unapologetically himself and did a lot of good for being so. I remember being a kid and getting my mum to do my hair like this lol. I still have my culture club fan up card from 1982 lol. I understood he was different but didn't really understand how, but I think it helped me to not be shocked or have a negative reaction when I realised what being 'gay' was. He's great.
I think... the song is about George's on and off again boyfriend John Moss (who is the drummer) who didn't know if he wanted to be in a relationship with him.
I have such fond memories of this song... I only saw the video in like 1998 or something somehow it had always eluded me. Then it came on a channel one day and my mom instantly recognized it and turned the volume up. She always played the song when I was a baby (when the song came out). It's perfect... the lyrics vocals and the music (especially the harmonica) amazing!
