Thanks you. I am a fourth year deck cadet at Perú Merchant marine academy . I have just watched the video . I consider it is very Well because it has alowed me learning . My best regards.
While calculating apparent wind direction it should be taken -30° or -150° because the anemometer is showing 150° Port side of ship??? Please correct me Thank you
How did sailors determine the ships speed relative to ground before the invention of gps etc? Out in the ocean you can only measure the speed relative to the water, which includes currents, right?
The problem is -30. Yes i know the anemometre direction in -155 but i say to video that my example is -30 which i pointed in anemometre. Pls see video time 2mins 4sec.. just follow and understand the vlog. There's already a cadet who thanks me in this video because he perfect his assessment.
Hi, thank you for making this video. The step-by-step approach is very clear and instructive. One small thing though, I cannot get my head around what is the underlying wisdom of HAT and TAH. Appreciate you could reply and explain for me here. Cheers.
How to identify height of tide? Theres no computation for that. You will just look visual the waves and calculate the speed of true wind to compare the speed of the wind in Beaufort table.
Sir, why did you use the direction from the point of heading to the point of apparent wind as a reference for the true wind direction, and not the other way around (point of apparent to point of heading)? Kindly notice this question. Thank you!
Good day sir, how about if the heading is 355 and the apparent wind direction is 030S, how will you calculate it. bc i see that that youre having a heading of 025 and an apparent wind of -30(bc its portside as you've said in the explanation) what youve done in the example is 360+25-30= 355.
You made TAH and what does it mean? If you created HAT instead what does it mean too?.. please explain why it is important in finding the true wind with it.. thanks
i glad you share about wind direction to the people,if i can ask something...i want ask when you show 1 inchi same 1 knots...you take a elbow ruler and you show 2,2 level in the your picture 1 inchi same 1 knots on wind finder...so i ask or want know where from your take 2,2 level?sorry if my comment is wrong...thank you.....(^_^)
He use it as a reference, he must work with the heading of the ship, which is 25 degrees,, but then he has to substract 30 degrees, which means he gets -5 degrees. But if you have negative degrees, you can transform it into positive by just adding 360 degrees, which results in 355 degrees.
@@theseamanvlogger Sir ano pong title nun? Thank u po. Maganda vlog mo sir kasi tagalog mo ineexplain. Mas madaling maunawaan. Thank u sir sa pagsheshare mo ng knowledge sa marinong pilipino . Salute

sir kung naka anchor yung barko, kung ano yung naka indicate na speed and direction, un na yung true wind dir. and speed? tama ba?
Thank you sir for the knowledge that's you've shared to us.😊
Sir puwede paturo mag plotting?
I didn't understand how you got the apparent wind direction.. can you please make me understand how did you do it????

Sir can I use Table 10 to solve this easily?
VERY USEFUL SIR!🔥 Thank You So Much, God Bless!
It should be -30 or -150??
While calculating apparent wind direction it should be taken -30° or -150° because the anemometer is showing 150° Port side of ship???
Please correct me
Thank you
I told to video that the nanometer is just an example where you can get the part of the example. Kindly watch it throughly.
Thank you alot. Can you make a tutorial video of measurement distance on the nautical chart?
Already have in passage plan
I think the direction of the true wind is not NW. Its from SE according to the direction of the vector of true wind
This is very helpful sir, perhaps do you have a pdf copy? Of the plotting paper that you used?
i dont have. You can create by DIY onboard which i did before.
Sir salamat sa video na to. Sir baka pwede po yun daily test at weekly test naman po ng vhf mf hf at inm.c. salamat sir God Bless

how to turn on the radar Sir?
Sir tanong lang diba pag starboard side add tapos PORTSIDE SUBTRACT?

What about if the heading is bigger than the AW direction?
How did sailors determine the ships speed relative to ground before the invention of gps etc?
Out in the ocean you can only measure the speed relative to the water, which includes currents, right?

can i use your video in my class sir. thanks
Thanxs 4 information
Nice sir it helped me a lot thanku but why u took the true wind in upward direction
I already explained in the vlog
Hello, if the anemometre as apparent wind marks -155 why do you write -30? I can not understand.
Why you don't answer me????
The problem is -30. Yes i know the anemometre direction in -155 but i say to video that my example is -30 which i pointed in anemometre. Pls see video time 2mins 4sec.. just follow and understand the vlog. There's already a cadet who thanks me in this video because he perfect his assessment.
@@theseamanvlogger ok sorry thank you
Why wind direction is -30 , i see 150 . So why we cant from our heading deduct 150 ?
No reply hihihihu
How if we used the chart, to find the true wind direction? Is it okay?
Yes its ok. My paper was extracted to used chart.
Thank you so much sir ♥️
Great video sir! Where can I find one of these plotting sheets?
I just made that. That actually a compass rose in chart together with the scale.
Thank you sir for this information
Sir what's the meaning of HAT and TAH. Thank you sir.
H heading
A apparent wind direction
T true wind direction

How to identify height of tide? Theres no computation for that. You will just look visual the waves and calculate the speed of true wind to compare the speed of the wind in Beaufort table.
Okay sir thank you for the information
Sir, why did you use the direction from the point of heading to the point of apparent wind as a reference for the true wind direction, and not the other way around (point of apparent to point of heading)? Kindly notice this question. Thank you!
Already explain on the vlog.
Sir, where did the 30 that you’ve subtracted came from?
Anemometer
If its on port side u mark as negative n vice versa
Sir ,thank you for this video and I would just want to know about the cargo calculation using the dead weight of the ship

Great video sir. Do you have a vlog about basic plotting in navigation 2. I'm first year.. Help😅
Can someone explain to me what is TAH and HAT all about?
Already said to vlog. Watch the vlog carefully
You made TAH and what does it mean? If you created HAT instead what does it mean too?.. please explain why it is important in finding the true wind with it.. thanks

Great video sir but I have one problem about calculation
How did u add and subtract from 360degrees.
He use it as a reference, he must work with the heading of the ship, which is 25 degrees,, but then he has to substract 30 degrees, which means he gets -5 degrees. But if you have negative degrees, you can transform it into positive by just adding 360 degrees, which results in 355 degrees.
Sir. how can you get ship relative direction?
Its already been discussed in the video. Kindly watch it again.
