- For February 2024, here are a few, select highlights of the many updates we have for Power BI. Visual calculations make it easier than ever to do calculations that were very hard or even impossible. The Power BI home provide a centralized location for all your power BI desktop activities.
Fabric Copilot for power BI can now add measure descriptions to your semantic model measures. The Power BI add in now supports shareable links to make it easier for people to consume reports, and the new Explore feature gives you a better understanding of what's in the data you're exploring.

Great video! I think the general quality of the presentations is very good and some great updates to the software also. Just a small request for improvement: The sound is very different between the presenters (and has been for a while). I think this would be easy to fix with a standard microphone setup + some guidelines (and perhaps someone to do some basic sound mixing).
Having Time Code Chapters would be awesome.

Great video, love that most features are demoed, it really makes a difference!
The visual calcs could be a great learning tool for DAX newbies if we could see what is actually running under the hood (assuming this is some form of syntax sugar).
The Fabric trial countdown was reset to 59 ?
What about the bug where I can no longer view the DAX function behind my measures?
It's a great update. Thank you. However, it would be even better if Power BI included a Tooltip enhancement in the next update, as there is currently no functionality for showing multiple tooltips in a single visual.

Why doesn't it work with a field parameter? (year, month, week, etc.)
Hi, pls dynamic subscriptions can be triggered also for those without an active PBI access? When I saw the PDF attached, it made me think that I can spread filtered report also to non PBI users. Currently I am using a power automate flow for sending html table over to each and every user without pbi access. But it is only a table. And as I already have the report prepared in PBI it would be great to show them all visualizations as well filtered with their data.
Hi, I'm getting error "Cube Table must have exactly one island" (no changes made), Does anyone know if it has to do with this update?

I have started having the exact same issue, seems random and sometimes even after the error message query-changes still goes through...Sorry, but "try restarting" is not really that impressive

I'm encountering an issue and need your support. Whenever I utilize new visual calculations and publish my dashboard to the web, any tables or charts containing these new calculations fail to work properly and give me this error "Couldn't load the data for this visual". Can you assist me with this?

I love Power Bi and Using Embedded Power Bi a lot, But Day after day power Bi Desktop is getting slow and slow.

who decides what features you develop? yet another boring update. Where is the built-in write back functionality? or the ability to copy/paste cells from a table (not rows or column selection)? where is the ability to quickly simulate scenarios? where is the built-in P&L matrix that every organization on earth needs? Why copilot can only be used to create basic and dumb measures? where is the ability to get an accurate response on measure for lost customers from copilot or similar? where are the diagnostic or predictive analytic capabilities?
I'm really sorry for the Power BI development team.
Even though we went from 2023 to 2024, but Power Bi has been declining and going back for several years Specially Since the time when it changed its theme color from bee yellow to green, which wants to be like Excel I understand that you want to make yourself like Excel, unlike Tableau, which is much more advanced and better in terms of BI, but unfortunately, Power BI has declined a lot in the last two years.
