My apologies to any adverts that are shown before the video starts… Due to the nature of my arrangements being other peoples music, RUclips sometimes mandates them. I never choose to put adverts during my videos.
Thank you very much. If you have any suggestions or what should be my next arrangement, let me know in my new video... I'm asking for ideas to get 2020 started.
To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Baba Yet, I'd uploaded a new video with a better tuned piano, and better microphone: ruclips.net/video/UsxUWoTapH8/видео.html Hope you like it.
Thank you for that - just listening to your cover now. Love the multi-camera setup, especially the one that looks like it's sandwiched between two hi-hats? (I'm not a drummer), I don't suppose there's any way to stabilise that camera? Would look awesome. I had a problem with one camera that would vibrate when bass notes were played, and I drove me up the wall. You got a like and a subscription from me. (I would have put it on your video, but I'm messaging from work and they have the RUclips on restricted mode, so I can't comment on public videos.
Epic Piano Arrangements Thats true, but in CIV V they also used music by Aaron Copland which i personaly really enjoy listening to. Even tho its not made for the game it really fits with it.
This is fantastic, really good job. Do you ever release sheet music for your arrangements because it'd be great to give this a go myself. If not then you've got yourself still got yourself a subscriber.
@@EpicPianoArrangements True, true, Sogno di Volare is a great song, Civ VI got a fitting theme music. But Terra Nova in Civ V? I'm sorry but I was disappointed. I actually changed it to Baba Yetu. I don't know. Baba Yetu has this timeless world music feel to it. Also, the instrumentation and somehow the pattern of the song, to me, carries in it something of the musical style of the 1990s too, I can't explain why. At any rate, awesome video and thanks for the answer!
I never played Civ V, so I don't know the theme song - although it wasn't Christopher Tin. Funny how they brought him back for the theme song for Civ VI. Terra nova must have been disappointing.
Beautiful arrangement! In my opinion some of the parts sound a bit... "stiff" maybe? But other than that, one of the best arrangements out there, how does this not have more views??
For instance, from 0:15 to 0:30 some of the notes seem dampened too quickly. In my opinion, it would sound better if they were sustained for longer (you would hold down the sustain pedal), if that makes sense. For instance, if you look at the same part of ModistOne's version, his notes seem to echo / linger for longer. I only really noticed it in this part, not really in the rest of the song. And i'm by no means a pianist, so this is probably how you intended it.
You are right, I did this intentionally. Because in the original version by Christopher Tin, the notes are quite short and punchy, so I didn't want to over sustain them. When it transitions into D Major at 0:55, I chose to do them longer because it better matches the original.

When you can sing the lyrics off by heart merely by listening
It is a fantastic piece, isn't it... although my Swahili isn't that great. The Melody I know well, the lyrics - not so much.
I think, it's really difficult to perform Baba Yetu without vocals, but you have done it really well!
This is one of the best pieces of music for any video game ever made. I use to restart the game just to listen to this.
It's quite uplifting isn't it? I must admit though, I think Christopher Tin outdid this when he did Sogno di Volare... but that's just me.
Your arrangement/playing is so beautiful!!
Thank you very much. If you have any suggestions or what should be my next arrangement, let me know in my new video... I'm asking for ideas to get 2020 started.

Wonderful!!! This guy deserves more view and subscribers.
Well... I've only been at this a couple of months. Still working on my arrangements, and hoping it will grow. :)
Fantastico!!!! Brillante!!!! La mejor versión en piano solo que he escuchado.
Thanks... much appreciated.
Nice!! Great voicing fidelity. 🙂👍🏻🎶
Thank you - I worked hard on it.
nice cover. your piano is so comfortable.

Brilliant, sounds amazing, fantastic work
Thank you very much - glad you like it.
Beautiful !
I'm surprised they didn't ask Christopher Tin to do the theme for Civ V... especially after how popular this was.

This is fantastic
Thanks... Have you seen some of my other arrangements? Hopefully, you think they're just as fantastic as this one.
Yyyyyup. Exactly what i was looking for.
o, yea!
This is awesome!
Thank you very much. It was a beautiful theme and it seemed to transfer to the piano quite nicely.
Wow, stunning! :-)
Thank you... :)
I'm only young, but I now needa get a will done pronto, just to get Baba Yetu as my funeral song. haha beautiful rendition of this nostalgic piece.
Well, I'm hoping you don't need to worry about funeral arrangements for a long time to come.
In the mean time, glad you like this arrangement.
It is better to be safe than sorry.

That's brilliant, thank you and you're welcome you've certainly earned the support!
Yeah, Baba Yetu had been the best Civilization music so far.
You have to admit though, Civ VI had a great theme song as well... Christopher Tin never disappoints.

very good!

UP !
An amazing piano cover!👏 Btw what piano model is that?
Thank you. The piano is a Yamaha C2 Grand. It's just over 10 years old now, but was 6 1/2 years when recording this video.
Beautiful arrangement! In my opinion some of the parts sound a bit... "stiff" maybe? But other than that, one of the best arrangements out there, how does this not have more views??
When you mean stiff... what exactly do you mean? The music seems stifled?

You nailed it beautiful work this guy doesnt understand composition you kept rhythm and sustain perfect to the original
Thank you very much. That is my aim - to keep that authenticity compared to the original theme.
ITS OUR FATHER SONG🙏🙏🙏🙏
연주 잘하네 굿굿
칭찬에 감사드립니다. [Google Translate]
Better than synthesia
Thank you, I hope so. Who the heck can possibly play it by looking at a bunch of descending rectangles??? Never got into Synthesia.
