Take your bible out from its dusty corner 😉 you'll find the "Lords prayer" on Matthew 6, verse 9-13. The Bible is super convenient: You'll find it in almost every language in the same book, same chapter same verses. Go for it! God is good!
I couldn't for years but then today I was listening to it and paging around the parts of the Bible about music and found this: "but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, always and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father." Ephesians 5:18-20 It pretty much sums it up.

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." -Matthew 13:44
They are singing to the Lord of all in Swahili! That's beautiful. You don't have to understand it to feel the raw power... especially when the singer really means it.
I don't understand this language but this is musically, spiritually beautiful rendition of Lord's prayer. My Lord, Jesus Christ is worshipped here. Amen.
And keep in mind, this song was created for a video game, so if anyone tries to tell you that video games are satanic or other such nonsense, you can tell them that some games have beautiful music like this.
It is amazing how besides the good intentions and glorious message behind this project people just see black and white people, as if it was anything really meaningful besides the fact that we are all humans struggling and suffering altogether this existence.
@meerontbijtkoek - Yes!! Because music and songs themselves are basically their own language! And the best part of all, is that: no matter who you are, where you live/where you are now, what you may have done in the past, or which country you came from, heck not even your native tongue (or, native language) is enough to stop music and songs from bringing people together. They are a beautiful part of our (Note: I'm using the term "our" collectively as in, "all of you other fellow humans out there".) histories and cultures. And, I have no doubt that any of us would be who we are if music and songs had never come into existence. Especially since the language of music and songs is universal!

this is my language and the way the sang this prayer is so amazing, I loved it! Send love from RD Congo, hope my people pass by to listen to this beautiful song.
Your language was beautiful. I'm told that Swahili was born from trade between Arabians and East Africans. It is only fitting that such a cosmopolitan language be honored like this.
I'm an agnostic. I have trouble rationalizing some of God's actions in the Old Testament. But when I listen to this song... part of me has hope that I can call myself a Christian again someday. EDIT: It has been a long time since I first wrote this comment. And in that time, I've seen my country fall further prey to material possessions. I have seen people claim to be Pious, and yet turn to greed and hatred. They even go so far as to celebrate others' pain as a victory. They demand greater labor, yet deny reprieve. They strike with a whip, yet claim to be victims. They feast on food, yet call others gluttonous. They would strip others of the very free will given to us. And they will gleefully tell you "You're going to Hell; there is nothing else you deserve." And that... is why I seek to rekindle my relationship with God. My perspective has changed. The Lord *asks* for my loyalty; the rich man DEMANDS it. The Lord knows of love; the rich man knows only HATE.
That's assuming that God had anything at all to do with those events. We are relying on the written word of humans, who claim it is the word of God. People with strong feelings about things wrote the bible... not God. We don't truly know God, except what he echoes to us in our souls.
Jesus loves you so very much. I don't have all the answers; no one does. I pray that God will reveal Himself to you as the kind and loving Father He truly is.
I had the amazing privilege of spending some time in Tanzania. The Swahili language is just so beautiful by itself, but then to add all that you have, I cried through the whole thing.

Take your bible out from its dusty corner 😉 you'll find the "Lords prayer" on Matthew 6, verse 9-13. The Bible is super convenient: You'll find it in almost every language in the same book, same chapter same verses. Go for it! God is good!
Jonothan Doezer : I dont hope so. Anyway they speek the words of true.
I physically cannot describe the feelings this song always inspires in me
You go girl 💅
Me too having goosebumps
that, my friend, is the authenticity of the spirit. The song is singing the Lords Prayer
I couldn't for years but then today I was listening to it and paging around the parts of the Bible about music and found this: "but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, always and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father." Ephesians 5:18-20
It pretty much sums it up.
It's the Holy Spirit! Jesus is alive!
I don’t speak this language but I feel the message deeply in the core of my being God Bless you all
It's the Lord's prayer 🙏
...god bless us all💖🕯🤝🙏

I don't understand a word from the song because I'm a Nigerian. I love this with passion 💕. I've played it uncountable times.

They are singing to the Lord of all in Swahili! That's beautiful. You don't have to understand it to feel the raw power... especially when the singer really means it.

Beautiful song, wonderful vocals. Am from Kenya, a Swahili speaking National. Thank you for lifting God's name in a prayer song!

I don't understand this language but this is musically, spiritually beautiful rendition of Lord's prayer. My Lord, Jesus Christ is worshipped here. Amen.
It's swahili
Our Lord brother, the saviour Christ.
And keep in mind, this song was created for a video game, so if anyone tries to tell you that video games are satanic or other such nonsense, you can tell them that some games have beautiful music like this.

When we get chills hearing a language we don't know, as a tribute to our Lord, it's empowering.

Kenyan🇰🇪🇰🇪 and felt proud to hear them sing the Lord's prayer in my national language. Their diction is on point.
Nene, I was part of this choir and we loved singing this song. I especially am happy to hear we got the diction right!
Amazingly we were taught that English was Kenya’s national language...lol...wink!
I think Kenya national language is English and Tanzania national language is Kiswahili
Lovely

It is amazing how besides the good intentions and glorious message behind this project people just see black and white people, as if it was anything really meaningful besides the fact that we are all humans struggling and suffering altogether this existence.

❤beautiful music has no religion no color no country music is divine praise the Lord Jesus Christ Amen 🙏👑
This moves me to tears because the image of humans standing together in a big circle singing and making music, this is how it was meant to be.
True
where’s the diversity of Gods lands and people? representative of this language?
@meerontbijtkoek yes! You worded this beautifully ✨
Truly
This song is legit a masterpiece, even to someone who isn't very religious.
The Lord's prayer in Tanzanian Swahili translated to English (Roman Catholic Version)
Baba Yetu uliye mbinguni, (Our father who art in heaven)
Jina lako litukuzwe (hallowed be thy name)
Ufalme wako ufike (thy kingdom come)
Mapenzi yako yatimizwe (Thy will be done)
Hapa duniani kama ilivyo juu mbinguni (on earth as it is in heaven)
Utupe leo mkate wetu wa kila siku (give us this day our daily bread)
Utusamehe makosa yetu (forgive us our sins)
kama tunavyowasamehe na sisi waliotukosea (as we forgive those who trespass against us)
usitutie katika vishawishi (lead us not into temptation)
lakini utuopoe maovuni (but deliver us from evil)
Amina (Amen).

Hi Francis, I love this music. Can you please explain the song and the video. What does actually the singer acts in this video clip? I do understand it is about the Lord`s Prayer. Is it actually the scripture literally?
Jozsef Fitz it's actually the lords prayer as you said, just that it's in swahili language though...the acts it's all about the word in the lord's prayer..sorry i can't get the exact words to explain it but hope you can get a clue.
And the music was written by an Asian American man for the computer game Civilization IV. It's wonderfully multicultural in all the best ways.

It's The Lord's Prayer.
Love love love to 🇮🇹
Watching this from Tanzania🇹🇿never thought my language will be honoured this much. Much love to y'all
Your language was beautiful. I'm told that Swahili was born from trade between Arabians and East Africans. It is only fitting that such a cosmopolitan language be honored like this.
Coming from a country whose native language is Swahili, this is absolutely magnificent
And they will gleefully tell you "You're going to Hell; there is nothing else you deserve."
And that... is why I seek to rekindle my relationship with God. My perspective has changed.
The Lord *asks* for my loyalty; the rich man DEMANDS it. The Lord knows of love; the rich man knows only HATE.
i will be praying for you.
I pray that God will reveal Himself to you as the kind and loving Father He truly is.
inshaalah.
The music of Christianity is the only redeeming thing about the religion. Between Baba Yetu and Handel's Messiah... man... you can jettison the rest.
So proud!
Listening Worship in My mother tongue is a blessing!!!
I had the amazing privilege of spending some time in Tanzania. The Swahili language is just so beautiful by itself, but then to add all that you have, I cried through the whole thing.
If this is a prayer, it's the most beautiful prayer a have ever witnessed. If God exists, this is how the paradise should look like.
Wojciech Mizera it's actually the lords prayer but in swahili language.
