I like how Gigabyte finally built new White motherboards but what I don't like is the built the Elite AX board almost the same as the black board but they lowered the PCB to 6 layer and charge more for the white boards. They also make the X670E Pro X in white almost the same as the b650 Pro but with cut down 897 codec and are charging $349.00 just for PCIe 5.0.
the problem with the Elite AX for me is def the audio. its garbo. Its a cheap board and has some other good specs but they def cheaped out on the audio solution.
@@ecosti how different is the audio between Elite and Pro version? i just bougth the Aorus pro (building my first pc) but i don't really know what it has to offer. any comment about this mobo will be apreciated
i've got one of these. seems to be a great MB. very simple to set up and still running the bios it came with. reasonably quick boot time with the boot set to ultra. running some 6000 speed ddr5 , it seems rock-stable in w10. only tings i wish it had --a post LED, and a clear coms on the back. this is sort of the masters little brother. love the 90a vrms it likes to oc to 5.6-5.7 with this little 7600 single core. the only real gripe about the board is its MSRP --though all the am5s are too pricy--
How would you say the board is holding up 4 months later? Im looking for this one on Newegg to pair with my 7800x3d (when I get it) but im skeptical bc there's lots of negative reviews on the PRO AX compared to the cheaper ELITE AX.
Hey so I am gathering info from the video and comments and if I over lock expo ram to 6000mhz cl30 and if I run audio through spdif will I get worse audio?
Just irritating how these boards on £300 cheap out on so many features like that and surround audio. My Kaby lake motherboard still packs these and the Supreme S1220 audio..
Honestly. Would anyone buy a new car without checking what options it comes with? Where ever you buy a motherboard, the site will show the specifications for their different motherboards.
I got one of these and can't decide if I want to keep it or not. Really weird that it only had 4 sata ports but then again I guess the trend is moving away from hard drives and 2.5 sdds.
as someone who got asrock steel legend i would like to exchange it to gigabyte aorus pro if i would have opportunity to only things that actually stopped me from getting aorus is 1 friend told the there some sound problems with it if you overclocking ram 2 there problems with alc audio (and about that i can say that steel legend audio worse then my gigabyte 7yo mb thx nahimic hehe) 3 it just have higher price also gigabyte bios boot is the fastest and their bios inteface looks much better again id rather take asrock riptide instead of steel legend its just at my place it cost more then steel legend
You what to talk about audio as Gigabyte's own website doesn't want you to no that they still use ALC897 and wait until you see their new Ice and white version's as they DOWN GRADE the PCB to 6 Layer and CHARGE You MORE because it is white with CHEAPER PARTS.. Even their version 1.1 to 1.3 they downgraded the mother boards even in the same Naming.
you remind me of Tom Scott. cool video, lots of oddball hardware on the market right now. Not sure if its the result of a transition between generations, greedy price savings, or just bad engineering.
Is gigabyte B650 AERO G pretty much a white version of this board? I could not find Information on amps or power stages

will this lack of audio affect someone who uses Bluetooth headphones only?
@@samson7294 no. if your headphones are bluetooth, it'll just use the DAC inside the headphones instead of the audio on the motherboard.
Yeah i orfered the elite ax the mkment i saw that i csnceled and changed to pro version for just 20$ 🎉🎉🎉

Well I'm happy wit my purchase, Where your system not built yet?
Nope, not yet. That's the beauty of being a RUclipsr, you can't just build a PC whenever you want to, but rather when you have time to record it all.
Funny thing is, in Germany they sold the Gigabyte 650 Aorus Elite AX for "just" 190€ today. (Mindfactory)
WTF is going on with those prices?....
Gigabyte have decided you don’t need surround sound to lose at cinebench.
Just snagged a lightly used one off amazon for $220 canadian can't complain one bit👌 that's lower than what the elite was going for

Both are good, just depends what you personally need from a motherboard.

Who needs Sata ports in 2023?
"only 4 sata" ports? this is more you will ever need in closer future
Most cases support 2x 2.5" drives and 2x 3.5" drives anyway. If you were building a server you would've went with a different board.

Gigabyte really let us down with the sound. Can't even install sound manager.
