We continue our Chennai travel adventures in this vlog. Following on from our previous Chennai video which you can find here: • Couchsurfing in Chenna...
We returned to our lovely Couchsurfing hosts in Chennai and this time explored the ancient city of Mahabalipuram. Mamallapuram, or Mahabalipuram, is a town on a strip of land between the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake, in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. The seafront Shore Temple comprises 3 ornate granite shrines. Krishna’s Butter Ball is a massive boulder balanced on a small hill near the Ganesha Ratha stone temple. During this India Travel video, we discover the delicious south Indian breakfast dish, Idli...MMM Yum! We enjoyed our return visit to Chennai and exploring the stunning ancient city of Mahabalipuram. At the end of our Chennai travel journey, we were sad to say goodbye to our hosts and to beautiful Chennai, but the next adventures need to begin!
Kia Ora, we are so happy you are here!

In Tamil it is called, "nongu". It is the fruit from the palm tree. It is called ice apple in English. You have to peel that delicate cream colour skin and eat it.

The fruit is sea coconut . Its usually served with longan-chilled.
Mahabalipuram is ancient city. The history dates to 1500 ago and a prince from there journeyed to China and introduced martial.arts to the China. Recently on 11th October the President of China flew in to Mahabalipuram to have informal talks with PM Modi of India and the history of the place connected India to China.
    Best wishes
