Madurai Temple & Culture - SOUTH INDIA TRAVEL
In this Native Travellers vlog we explore the ancient city of Madurai. A bustling city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
We show you the places to visit in Madurai and explore all the best thing to do! We take our parents to this town to show them a real taste of an Indian city. For them the bustle, colour and culture was mind blowing.
We ate traditional south Indian food, saw the Meenakshi Amman Temple, explored the city by foot and got to visit the banana market! We hope you enjoy this travel video, it was fun to edit for you guys!

Madurai has been one of the oldest and revered cities in Tamilnadu. It has helped in developing Tamil and its culture.
It can be described as follows:
Those who visit Madurai with hunger, it satisfies your hunger with its lovely idlies and variety of chutnies; if you visit with love, you get the aromatic Jasmine; if you visit with Bhakti/spirituality, you have temples to attain inner peace; and even if you come with enemity, you get lovely down to earth friendship that breaks the enemity within.. That is Madurai 🙂
Love that, thanks for these special words Nga Mihi
@9:18, it is called 'koozhu', phonetically pronounced as 'koo-lloo'. It is one of the healthiest breakfast and gives lot of energy needed for the day. It is generally had by those who do labourios work, like farmers and daily labourers. And also by those of us who want to switch to healthier option. It has high content of proteins, iron and dietary fibre.
It's ingredients can be various types of cereals (Ragi, barley, corn, red rice, etc) or pulses (green gram, fried gram) or nuts (almond, cashew, groundnut).
'Manna health mix' is available in almost all supermarkets.
Awesome bro thanks for the info, no wonder I had a engwrgised day that day it was the healthy kai!

'Kool' (koozh) is gruel or porridge. It is prepared with rice or millets. It is semi-liquid and is consumed in the morning for breakfast, especially in rural areas.

Awsm video guys! 🔥 I’m originally from TamilNadu living in Oz 🇦🇺. Not many foreigners go to these places that you guys visit, but trust me that going off the beaten path and experiencing the village lifestyle is where you get the true authentic experience of the people and the culture in South India 🇮🇳
Thanks bro, we love finding the true authentic places....how are u liking auz?
The cool drink you wanted to know about is called "Koozh" in local language (pronounced cool). It's basically porridge made out of millet and mixed with butter milk and served with pickle.

You should visit Ooty , Kodaikanal ..... Best hill stations 😊
To see tiger you should go to ooty- mudhumalai tiger reserve, which is located on the north western tamilnadu region. People prefer going to kodaikanal these days as kodaikanal is less commercialised when compared to ooty. But ooty is the only hill station in tamilnadu where there are more chances of spotting wildlife like deers, elephants, indian gaur and tiger (if you are lucky enough). Hope you enjoy your days in tamilnadu, the safest part of india.
Oooh good tip we have heard about ooty we will definitely have to return one day to visit
@@NativeTravellers Please do visit when you find time. I myself have seen quite a lot of wild deers, boars, gaurs and elephants and i am lucky enough to watch a tiger only once. Hope you also enjoy the same.
Nice video......

OMG thats cool, what time?
What's the situation with beer there? Can you find it easily in any shop, like Goa? Or is it more a hassle, like Kerala?
Come Coimbatore bro nice place to explore 😊

@@NativeTravellers I Will text u Instagram see it !
That mountain area is called Thekkady and you see wild life on boat ride(Have to go very early morning) so have more chance wild animals especially elephant.Currently kerala is in heavy mansoon and flood.Defenitely have to go to Munnar and is tea estate site.It is the top tour destination in kerala
We loved driving across the tea fields in Munnar, so green and lush
@@NativeTravellers Munnar is the place where many British spend leasure time on pre independence. There are elephant rides, echo point, ride on a speed boat at dam site.Fresh air on morning as of tropical atmosphere.
@@NativeTravellers That area is the place in which one of the largest wild life habitat in the world are located from major wild life species like elephants, tigers, bear, monkeys of various forms, deadly snake like king cobra etc.It is like a Amazon rain forest and deep jungle there will be almost dark even at noon sunshine.

Kah mo hi!

Rite kote rite hu!
Ka rite Hi!
Ko taki maori ngunuru nei
I aue aye aye hi!
This is not Thaali ... we call it as "Muloo Saiva Saapaadu" or simply "Saapaadu"
thanks for your knowledge on this :)
At what restaurant we can get it
@@gargrashmi2161973 Hey its called Hotel Sree Sabarees...enjoy!
@@gargrashmi2161973 you can get it simply at any veg restaurant across Tamilnadu ..... at Madurai there are plenty of good veg restaurants.
If pictures (even with a cell phone) are not allowed inside Madurai's Meenakshi temple... then, simply I will not travel to this city. Yes, I know it is because they're afraid of terrorism, but there are terrorism threats in many places around the world and cell phones are not forbidden.
To be honest you get a better view of the temple from outside anyway. Also sometimes the best memories are the ones where we are fully present not taking pictures or in our phones, but truly taking in the moment.
@@NativeTravellers Really, in this case this would be making a virtue out of necessity... Moreover, I'm old enough to realize how memories get blurred.
Western world is never as welcoming
TamilNadu govt or the local Mudurai government please keep this city clean... it's looks so dirty, Madurai is a historical place make it clean and promote tourism and people please take care of your place don't throw waste in public
I'm really sorry to say this it's looks terrible now
