Filmed in early May, I talk about how I am trying to make sense of things but it was difficult. I was impressed with myself that I could dive into filming and editing, and it seems that seeing footage of Daniel has become more welcoming that heart breaking. everything changes though.
I was home alone when a bear decided to visit our porch. I included both my clip and the one from the RING camera.
I am grateful to have found so many friends and supporters here. Truly blessed. We can really make a big difference in someone's life simply by small acts of kindness.
I am random these days. But I am still here. How should I be creative? How should I share? How do I make the grief into loving purpose kind of grief? Not sure. But I do see a light down the path.
Welcome to my channel...
We lost our beloved Daniel on January 12, 2024. Stay with me as I work through grief and finding purpose. It is early days. And very hard.
Adapting. Thriving. Changing. Growing. Facing the unknown every waking day. This is my story, and I hope that you find encouragement, community, friendship here. A journey of life with a child who was born with severe disabilities, and how we are making our way through the ups and downs.
Daniel was born with a rare condition called Polymicrogyria. It was caused by the virus, CMV (cytomegalovirus). Daniel has extensive medical problems and disabilities, but we have created a loving support structure for him, and the 5 of us, and our pets, find lots of joy and love. A very unique family dynamic for sure!

Next time leave a picnick basket out front,Lol 😊😊
Hi Julie; glad you are taking care of yourself and moving along. You will work in Daniel’s room when you are ready. If not selling your home; than it can wait until you are ready.
How is John doing, if I may ask? I hope he’s taking are if himself as well. ❤️
Oh my! We've never had bears come around because of our bird feeders, but I suppose it's not as common here in the middle of Illinois 😂
We never did either! But the bears are popping up everywhere out here! He hasn’t been back, and I have been taking the feeder into the house at night. The birds bring me so much peace, so the bear will not win!
Wow! That bear was huge! We had one in a neighbor’s driveway last summer, and it freaked everyone out.
Love to you
Hi Brianna, love to you as well. Happy Sunday morning
@@jhasselberger hi Julie and happy Sunday 💌💌💌🫶🏼
Love you ❤
Hi Julie Good to see you ❤ 1:05
It’s really not that the bears have been moving more and more into the people spaces. It’s the people who have been moving more and more into the bear spaces, shrinking their habitat, destroying their food sources, and forcing them more and more into areas humans have taken from them. .
Exactly!
Hi Julie I think about you all I miss your vlogs ❤❤❤❤
I want to have a hug 😢
Hi Julie ❤ miss you
Have you thought of getting a tattoo in tribute to Daniel ❤
You’re not stupid millions of people have bird feeders . That was a really mean comment for some people to say 5:15
I am told birdseed that bears don’t care for are Safflower and Niyer
I lost my mom 1-2-2022 to covid
