- I always try and start these descriptions with a little summary of the game. But where do you start with Kingdom Hearts? Worlds collide with the cast of Disney classics and Final Fantasy meeting in a wonderful, baffling, chaotic mess. It's ridiculous, it's beautiful and after over a decade, it's finally here. Kingdom Hearts 3.
Having watched a bunch of Disney lately I really wanted to channel that upbeat, fun and inspiring sound that you so often find in Disney end credits these days. So here's my first proper attempt at some pop-punk-pop feel-good tunes.
And just because I like making my life as difficult as possible, almost every line of this song contains a reference to at LEAST one Disney song. There are over 60 throughout! Can you find them all..?

There is so many references in this song I had to watch it over and over again to catch all of them. My favorite one was the supercalifragilisticexpialidocios. (Sorry if I might have mispelled that)

“Friends on the other side” has a sinister context in Princess and the Frog, but here it takes on a whole new meaning when you think about it in terms of characters like Riku and Aqua, trapped on the other side of the door to darkness

I have literally never played a Kingdom Hearts game for more than an hour, so why does this song still just feel so nostalgic and meaningful to me anyway?!
A: It has so many Disney songs packed into it that you're bound to recognize at least one of them and B: That's kinda just part of Kingdom Hearts, feelings of nostalgia even with band new things or things that you didn't get to experience but somehow just know and feel nostalgic for.

Honestly, I've never played Kingdom Hearts, but this song made me feel nostalgic for a game series I've never even played before. It's almost enough to make me want actually play it! Great work on this one.
Kingdom hearts is a really good game series, if you can understand it. It hits you with a lot of feels, but also enough action to keep you going

This song summarizes the appeal of the Kingdom Hearts games so well! No matter how complicated the series is, it’s heartwarming to return to the Disney worlds and enjoy where the characters take you. This song has that nostalgic charm and I love it!

One, I'm not a Disney fan (never grew up on their movies due to a sheltered upbringing and despise their business practices).
Two, Sora is obnoxious and feels like a Gary Stu. He wasn't even the Chosen One in the first game, but now all we hear about is how important he is to saving everyone. He's handed a lot of powers and gifts, he's a moron, and Donald and Goofy are grating.
The fact that every major villain is either a Xehanort or because of Xehanort is dumb, and the time travel shit makes it even worse.
Mickey's an idiot, and half the reason shit got so bad is because he didn't say shit to anyone about what was going on, he never tried to save Aqua when he met her again in KH1, and his excuse of 'it was her choice' is bullshit. Yeah, she asked you to finish the mission, not abandon her!
And the list goes on. The gameplay is solid (usually), but the story? It can go fuck itself.

@@thekeeper1287 It's a common mistake. I went from the original to two, and I was confused because I didn't play chain of memories first. With KH3 it's likely a lot worse (assuming they don't do a recap of the previous games) considering how many spinoffs came out between 2 and 3

Eh don't worry about it. You can be fine just playing Kingdom hearts 1 And 2. Heck the third game sums up the entire story for you before you play in a cinematic way that looks cool, if you want it.
Just get the latest versions of 1 And 2 then you will be fine. Have fun!

I’m first to admit that I’ve never played a kingdom heart game ever, but this has gotten me definitely intrigued about it. And to a person who knows nothing about the franchise, you nailed it. Gave me a very warm and fuzzy feeling once the song was done.
And the visuals during the chorus were absolutely gorgeous! I’m always blown away by your talent not only musically but also with your absolutely on point editing. I wanna do stuff like this but I don’t think I’d be anywhere near this level of quality.

I have over 40 Disney songs memorized by heart, and listening to this resurfaced them all at once. This was amazing, though most the time I can just peacefully listen to your songs, this had my brain going 500,000 miles a minute remembering every song right at the time you said the lyric that matched. There is no calm way for me to listen to this. Gave me a headache, and I loved every second of it. 10/10 will migraine again. (Loved seeing Hunchback cause thats my favorite movie, and the Oliver and Company lines also made me grin. Superb job.)
