My Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 36mm is my daily wear. Comfortable, dresses up or down, and I love the pointer date.

This watch is truly a watch you can pass down. The quality is great and looks very unique with all the additional detail Seiko puts into their watches.

I’m always thinking about adding a SARB033. Currently wearing a BB36 black dial as my daily.
I have both the Seiko SARB033 and SARB035. Recently acquired in a private sale for not much money, both in mint condition, boxed and unworn. These 'strap monsters' are among the cheapest and most loved watches in my collection. Paired with quality alligator or lizard straps they punch above their weight. WFH
This watch has a special place in my heart. I picked up the watch while I was on my first trip to Japan. Such a versatile watch
I’ve had this watch for close to 7 years now. I wear it every day at work, sometimes I get distracted and stare at it, polish it, wind it, etc. I don’t want any other watch. It fits perfectly, has perfect proportions
The aqua terra in 38 really reminds me of this watch. Three hander with date, no rotating bezel, 38mm case size, see-through cashback, etc. Different levels and quality for sure, but it really shows how awesome the sarb is.
Purchased the SARB035 (white dial) as my first mechanical watch in mid-2020. No regrets as this is comfortably my daily. Stock bracelet works well on my 6.75" wrist during the winter/spring .months. As we head into summer it's getting a bit tight on the wrist since there's no micro adjustments. A blessing in disguise, I'm sure, since it means I'll have to find a leather strap for SARB035.

Lightweight comfortable water resistance and totally care free ✌😊 and a have quite a few of them for different mood or occasions 😃 a bit tiny @36mm but very comfortable and ultra thin and did i mention it's super lightweight??? Haha since i couldn't afford any carbon fiber or forged carbon or sapphire watches.. this works well for me 😊😊

Man they need to bring this watch back. Throw in a 6R35 and make it $650 and it would sell like hot cakes. I’d rather have this than the PRX at that price. All the newer Seiko options are 40mm or bigger. This size was perfect.

Absolutely, the best watch in my very small collection. I am so glad I picked it up when I did, because prices have gotten crazy. I love that grey leather strap. It makes the handsome Sarb look even better.

I love the versatile & classy look of this watch so much. And I'd be hunting one down right now if it weren't for Christopher Ward releasing their C63 Sealander Automatic just 2 weeks ago. The look is so similar, but the C63 has brighter indices and a cleaner look to the outermost seconds ring. Ward's specs, and value-for-the-price are fantastic. I ordered mine almost the minute I saw it - and I'm excited to get it in 2 days!
Good Video and great watch. I bought this timepiece in February this year and I love it. Prefer it with a leather, but currently I am rocking it with the ogininal Bracelet.
As a daily watch I also love my Stowa Flieger Klassik with logo and no date and my hamilton khaki mechanical white dial which is really my perfect choice. Versatile, under the radar but well known to the community and away from the snobs ;-) :-)

I’m one of the lucky ones for whom the stock bracelet fits well, along with plenty of other strap options. Great watch punching above its weight 👌
It’s so weird. I have the 033 and the 035. I have a perfect fit with the 035 but the 033 was either too small or too big. I ended up buying a strapcode bracelet for it. Lol
The bracelet is great and mine fits well too but I just don’t understand the clasp gap. It just ruins it for me. It’s obviously a clasp that’s used on another bracelet too.

I sold my 035 and instantly regretted it. I found a lovely example from Japan of the 033 and couldn't be happier. I think a used sarb is a better sarb. I didn't wear the new one but this used one dominates wrist time and makes me want to move off of the majority of my collection.
The SARB033 is a really nice watch. My daily watch right now, is my fathers old Seiko 62mas on a grey nato.

I chose the Sarb035. I like the creamy white dial a tad more. My daily is a Casio G-Shock GW-M5610.
I think it's a great watch for the office. Looks good, easily fit's under the cuff and not worried about desk scuffs. Also it's not as pretentious that a Swiss luxury can be yet still gives a good feeling.
Surely it is and I have one-SEIKO SARB033.
Just picked one up In as new condition for £550 in Uk. Not cheap but very pleased with this good looking watch
I'm just gonna list out my watches in order of favourites:
1) Sarb033 on president or stock bracelet
2) Rolex datejust 116200
3) Hamilton Khaki field 38mm ETA 2824 movement, on leather strap
4) San martin explorer homage, tiffany dial
5) Orient Ray 2, custom sapphire lumed bezel on rubber bracelet (my modding watch)
6) Timex weekender pac-man edition
I can wear mine for months without switching out to another watch. I wish they'd bring it back in a variety of different colours. I also wish they'd make a solar powered quartz version.
A new colour variation would be amazing to see!
They did its called the SZSB013 there is black white blue and black with Gilt(gold) sakura watches has them for 280USD there is also lumed versions of each color
Seiko would make so much money if they would just release a new SARB with new colors
I took that watch 2016as well...since then i have bought few more watches but this one...man i love it....even compared to much more expensive things i have....its wear like a 5k watch easily the only one i would exchange it for will be rolex explorer and evwn then i might go with the seiko as i can wrar it every day where the rolex...it might be too much...

I'd like to see a review of straps to wear during warm/hot weather. The part of the US I live in can get humid and or hot during summer.
I enjoy my 035 that doesn’t get as much love, apart from by me!

Strange to review this now as it's discontinued and virtually impossible to get one at a reasonable price.

@@shofimiah4205 if you want to spend more check the sarx035 it's like upgraded version. If you want cheaper there's plenty of older Seiko 5 SNK models but they don't hack or hand wind. Also the SARY057 very similar and well priced.
I just brought a similar size and different model, i.e., presage line. A good old stock at Asian market for the price of USD330.- with steel bracelet.
I wore my Sarb for years at work doing a very physical job. I never got a scratch I could not remove with a light polish. You can make it a habit to avoid banging it into things if you value it and want to avoid scratches and dents. Whereas I saw a guy with a Rolex and he obviously did not care if he banged it around and the watch looked like crap.

I have a seiko sarb035 . I love it, but the cream diel is only good in the summer . I wish I had got the black one.

I too love day/date function...without them in my opinion even the best watch looks cheap.
I really try and rotate a different watch every day but recently my new 40mm Seagull 1963 sapphire sandwich has had a lot of wear.

Great but useless review in 2021. You can't find this watch almost anywhere. So you're a few years late.
And I don't want to be an asshole - I was looking for my first watch and this was a hot candidate. But it's discontinued and only available used. And that sucks big time.

Do you know the difference between the Grand Seiko and Seiko SARB033? The watch movement. But a top-flight movement in this watch. What have got ? you have a Grand Seiko.
You also have a watch that could go toe to with the Rolex Date just. Tell me you do not see it. Seiko is using the movement as the grade of the watch.
No matter what strap is on a watch my eye is always drawn to the dial. I have never looked at someone's lovely watch and only focused on the strap. " oooh just look at that strap.. Oh its on a datejust" 😂 please
Great point Alex, The upside to some straps is that the choice of colours can really help add contrast to the overall look which in turn will bring out the dial more :D
@@watchgecko I do have to admit to having a grey suede geckota strap and I love it! Also a geckota coin tray which I also love. High quality stuff and highly recommended to anyone reading this.

I’m a big Geckota fan, but this May 2021 review of a watch that is almost impossible to get is useless. What a great watch! Oh yeah. It’s discontinued and you can’t get it unless you wanna pay $700 used. Great. Just want the Internet needs. This 2 year late review. Thanks! Wait. But this is a strap commercial? I see what you did there.
