- Looking for a simple and quick updo that’s perfect for beginners? In this video, I’m showing you how to create a super easy hairstyle that works on straight hair or curled hair for extra texture and volume. This updo is casual, cute, and perfect for any occasion, whether you’re heading to a wedding, a date night, or just want a polished look with minimal effort.
While my updo in this tutorial isn’t perfect (I didn’t double-check the symmetry in the back before finishing), I wanted to share it anyway to show that hairstyling doesn’t have to be flawless to look beautiful. This video is all about embracing imperfection and having fun with your hair.
You’ll learn the step-by-step process to recreate this style, along with tips to make it your own. Whether you’re new to styling your hair or just want an easy option for those days when you need something quick and elegant, this tutorial is for you.

How do I split my hair at the top of my head? When I try this my scalp always show on both sides. Thanks
@@lauriepotratz3290 keep everything loose as apposed to tight. You can also add some dry texture powder do your hair to give it fullness before you stwrt
I don’t know if this will help, but this came to mind after reading your comment. Take a comb and beginning at the top of your forehead, pull it back to the crown of your head and let the hair fall from one of the tracks of those comb marks. It makes a perfectly straight and clear line in your hair. My grandmother, who was a hairdresser, taught me this. I’ve never seen anybody else explain it the way she did. Good luck. ❤
