If I bring my boat to you, will you do this same repair? I have a 21' Chris Craft that needs the windshield done including the walk-thru. This video seems to be 100% on point with my situation.
Unfortunately we can't do that work on your boat. We don't actually offer repair services here, we only do these projects for the purpose of making how-to videos to help our customers. The good news is that this job is super easy (as you can tell by the video) and we're here to help if you have any questions. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project!
Hey there, here is a link to our Marine line on our website, all of our listings have a photo of the profile along with measurements to help determine which seal would best work for your boat: www.steelerubber.com/marine If you need additional help finding the perfect fit for your boat, email us at contact@steelerubber.com and one of our product specialists will reach out to you to find a solution. Thank you for watching!
Hey there! Our marine seals are all considered universal because manufacturers would not stay consistent with the components or type of seals from one boat to the next. What we recommend is looking the profile design of your current seal and getting measurements to then compare them to other products online or in a catalog. We offer a free marine catalog that includes part drawings with dimensions for each part and we offer free sample packs so you can test fit our parts before purchasing anything. You can request a free catalog by mail or download our digital version here: www.steelerubber.com/request-marine-catalog. To request free sample packs, please contact our custom service department by email at contact@steelerubber.com or by phone at 800-650-5135. My 1998 SeaRay Bowrider 210 has white sealant at the base of the windshield. I plan on removing my windshield to have the windows tinted. I want to have the parts ready before pulling the windshield. Do you know if there is a rubber seal between the windshield frame and the perch where it sits- or did SeaRay use sealant only? I'd imagine there should be something between the 2 hard surfaces to dampen shock, etc. Thanks for any info you might have.
Hey Joel- we recommend this seal for your Bowrider: marine.steelerubber.com/peel-n-stick-70-2676-357 It's dense, very durable and you can run the mounting screws for the windshield through it. What most likely came on it originally is this seal: marine.steelerubber.com/sponge-rubber-extrusion-70-4204-377. It's a sponge rubber and not as durable as the first option we listed but will still work for what you need. Also, we only offer these seals in black- just FYI. If you have any other questions or would like a small sample for fit up let us know- we're happy to help. Thanks for watching!
With the seal shown in the video, you would need to start by installing the seal to the boat side first due to it's shape. If you put it on the windshield first, it wouldn't seat and seal correctly.
Check out the video called How to Determine the Right Part for Your Project on our RUclips Channel to figure out which one of our parts will work for you. We're also available by email or phone to help you pick the right part. Let us know how we can help. Thanks for watching!
We suggest looking at what's already on your boat and finding something to match. If you have any specific questions feel free to email some pictures or call us for more assistance. Thanks for watching!
It doesn't have a specific name but it's one of these seals: marine.steelerubber.com/peel-n-stick-hollow-half-round-70-4062-355 or marine.steelerubber.com/edge-trim-83-0114-377 I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, let us know! Thanks for watching!
You're right- we didn't remove and reinstall the glass. The correct weatherstrip is for that is our part #marine.steelerubber.com/edge-trim-70-3794-357. Thanks for watching!
Good informative video, but why the load useless music? I know, turn off the sound. Of course you cannot hear Danny speaking, at that point..... why are so many good RUclips videos ruined because people seem to have a need to dub in noise!
Thank you for your honest feedback. We will certainly take that into consideration when making future videos. We've evolved a lot in the past year since this video was first made. Thanks so much for watching, Andrew!
Thanks first video which displays frame removal.
You're welcome, thanks for watching!

Could you put the adhesive side of the seal on the windshield before installing. So you dont have to guess where the windshield is going go sit.
