Thanks alot jaj i am not truck driver but i do have AZ license u explained v nicely and its help alot even person like me to just get renew the license
This is an excellent tutorial video. May I use some screen shots from it for a printed guide I'm working on about hooking and unhooking a tractor trailer?
Amazing information sir I'm looking from long time this kind of video thank you so much sir .❤ Sir I need tha video from in said system information about all switches how to operate please 🙏 thanks again
Why not dump the air from the airbags, as soon as the truck has been moved a few inches away from the kingpin? That way you won’t scrape the grease and put unnecessary wear on the fifth wheel..
got a question. At 8:25mins in the video you tell the examiner the trailer height is good. What would you do if the height is not good, i assume it would be (low).. can you raise the trailer with the landing gear mechanism?
Shit bro I’m fresh out of cdl school got my first interview they had me do the driving test and pretrip past everything except this they never thought me this in school. He was like now unhook and hook up the trailer I didn’t even try I told him man idk how to do that. He couldn’t believe that they didn’t show me this in school and after that he said they do have a training program but he will let me know I was like is cool no worries then he was like no where gunna hit you back up once he seen I didn’t even care I have like 3 other interviews but now with this video I know what to do thank you bro I really appreciate you and this video. The job I interviewed for was xpo logistics so if your a new driver make sure u know this I passed my parking driving pretrip except this lol I honestly feel like there going to hit me up and try to low ball me even more now. I got bills can’t just work for free driving is per mile and dock work is hourly but is had to get overtime when they don’t count the driving as hourly is separate. And I was still willing to take it fuck it there loss. Oh and if u do wanna work for xpo have all ur endorsements it will help u out big time and watch this video if they didn’t teach u on school
HI ! i got a question , i live in Québec Canada and i wanted to become a Truck Driver but i didn't finish high school and i wanted to know if i would still have good chances to find a job in this industry if i don't have a lot of education . Sorry for my english . Thank you !
Better programs in Quebec. I would suggest taking a government provincial program because it's treated as two years experience if from Quebec. Second I suggest you do lots of otr now you're young and want adventure. I would rent just a room and save money like crazy since you're on the road. You're young so diet isn't really important for you but cook your own meals if and when possible on the road..it can be done with portable mini burner and I've even seen portable propane bbq on the road..fresh vegetables in the fridge for salads . But only good advice is don't even bother renting an apartment.. just have a room rent in a house and save fora year or two..live like a cowboy or nomad.. you can easily have 100,000$ in two years without going nuts. Then go local after about two-5 years....you're young and you don't have a family it's a bonus for now.
@@TiazaLynn yes, better in Quebec I'm not 100% but there is a govt driving school which you finish it's considered 2 years experience. Or you can try Ontario one or two companies are sponsoring you to get truck license if you have your dz .
@@wtfhellas right on, but I believe the worth 2 years of experience is used pretty loosely. It’s not mandated that any companies look at your resume as having 2 years experience. I think what it actually means is a lot of companies will hire/train you fresh out of school. Schools should really stop using that as a selling point. Nobody fresh out of school has anywhere near the skills of a 2 year experienced driver. It’s probably slightly dangerous to tell new drivers they do possess those skills.....some will actually believe them. Just saying, I read your original post as having taking the course several times in ON & Que.
@@TiazaLynn no..one shot I got the az. I talk to drivers from Quebec all the time, we compared schools and training etc. You're right that this whole 2 year experience etc. But the 2 years is for company insurance, means that some school have a better reputation for insurance company and some don't. I should have cleared it up, two years goes for insurance. get your Az and thousands of jobs available., Pay and benefits is something you have to see and feel for yourself. hourly vs mile

Hey thanks for your feedback. It's good to follow the 3 points of contact when exiting or entering but examiners can not fail you for not following that step. It's not in their guidelines. Thanks again for showing interest.
@@flyingjstation No sir that is incorrect. In USA, not using 3 points of contact while getting in or out of the cab is an automatic failure. I know this to be true because it happened to me.
@J B like I said before, it's good to follow 3 points of contact, but it's not automatic fail or disqualification during the road test in ONTARIO, CANADA. Thanks for showing interest.
Hello Jaz, I am an Evaluator and Instructor, plus I have been driving a straight truck and tractor-trailer for almost 50 years. No disrespect intended, but I would fail you and ask for a refresher class. There are so many things you have done wrong. From the placement of the landing gear, the 5th wheel release, and not to over-grease the 5th wheel, to the brake check. I appreciate the effort to show a basic Coupling and Uncoupling, but so far, as an Evaluator, you've not given me the correct way to Unload and reload that truck.
This is an awesome demo . This guy really deserves to be an instructor . Thanks for the good work .
Step by step, understandable, very well explained. Much appreciated
All your step ur duing are good uncoupling and coupling good lucky all students duing test this year good instructor
Thanks alot jaj i am not truck driver but i do have AZ license u explained v nicely and its help alot even person like me to just get renew the license
Brilliant instruction easy to understand. Many Thanks Jaz
The best 1 yet in Ontario, watched a few videos of this guy..
Hi there,
Thanks a lot for your detailed explanations and a good quality video.
God bless you brother!
Very much appreciated!!!
Is the last physical tests of the brakes still required?
I believe now the confirmation of the spring brake purge is the last step.
Thank you sir i hope you make more video about the general knowledge about the truck. And such a you doing your work very well I appreciate it?
incredible method of teaching uncopling & coupling
You are a perfect teacher. Go on
Perfection. 5 star. Thank you sir for going over this .
Just perfect. Thanks guys. Thanks for sharing.
nice information easy to understand everything thankyou so much for sharing and making videos on it.
Why didn’t you couple the two air and one electrical lines onto the tractor
I saw on some other channels the drivers drop the landing gear to an inch off the ground. What's the reason for that?
This is an excellent tutorial video. May I use some screen shots from it for a printed guide I'm working on about hooking and unhooking a tractor trailer?
I like the way you teach, step by step,I have Idea now thank you

The CDL manual says to connect the air lines when you're backed up but not yet under the trailer.
This is 🇨🇦 not 🇺🇲
@@williamb1332 I'm sorry, but what does that mean?
@@johnjacob688 we do things differently.
It's a Canadian school and if we did what the CDL manual says, we would fail. We in Ontario Canada go by the M.E.L.T program here.
Why would you connect air lines to a trailer that isn't even attached to the tractor yet?
You should fix your video sounds a lot of information missing I cant hear it
Thanks for the awesome video chief, well done. 👍
Why not dump the air from the airbags, as soon as the truck has been moved a few inches away from the kingpin?

Not how the ministry wants it
very good. Some people do tug test by raising landing gear little higher 2 inch above ground if i am not wrong.thank u.
That's what I was taught in BC
Excellent demonstration and very detailed.. Above the drive shaft is torque arm though, you said tie rod ..
Got too much help. Thanks a bunch sir
Best video I've seen.
Your not supposed to release the suspension before pulling out?
I've seen other videos on lowering the landing gear and they say not to go down all the way. Which one is correct?
Both ways are correct, however it is recommended to leave a 1/2" gap between the bottom of the landing gear and the ground.
Great instruction. Great information. Thanks for sharing and cheers.
fantastic simply you are the best..!
got a question. At 8:25mins in the video you tell the examiner the trailer height is good. What would you do if the height is not good, i assume it would be (low).. can you raise the trailer with the landing gear mechanism?
You can do that (it's strenuous) or you can lower the back of the tractor by lowering the air ride suspension.
Thank you very much I like how you explained 👍
