Before, we relied on our Books to finish our homework, however since technology is constantly changing, we learn how to depend On our computers in doing our researches and gathering information. I personally admit that my knowledge about the "real" or the factual surrounding circumstances regarding technology is still limited especially in terms of its origin, uses, and contribution to the society. This video was uploaded way back in 2012 and what amazing is that it was just on this day and this year I've realized that technology meant beyond what ordinary people think of. As I listen to Mr. Toppo, there's this one striking thing he said that totally changed my perspective of technology and education. He shared that humans become superhumans because of technology, but, take note that it was because of, books, establishments, canned goods and other more. I never knew that even animals, insects and every living things use or have a technology in their own ways (as what is said in the video like the farmer ants, haha.) At the last part of the talk, Mr. Toppo (or Seymour Pepper) said that schools should be a “Rio pre-carnival”, which means that schools should be a free environment, where every learners are capable of doing stuff, participating in any activities, works and learn together. The technology which includes the internet, is helping us to learn and have a vast knowledge about a certain topic but it limits us as well in many different ways. There are things that only the technology can give us but there are also things that we can gain only through a traditional kind of teaching, such as gaining experience and observing things in real life that the technology can never provide, the learners are supposed to engage in the process of learning, and feel that they are included. It seems to me that, the idea to merge or integrate technology to education is brilliant, because in this way we can improve our way of learning. After watching Mr. Greg Toppo's Talk I became more knowledgeable on what Technology truly means and how it drastically effect education. I learned that technology is existing before in teaching but we are all unaware of it because people think that technology is just the use of gadgets but it is actually older than we might think, that even animals make use of technology to control and adapt to their natural environment. Technology in education is abundant before it is just modified into more sophisticated things just like when Teachers uses chalks before but nowadays due to Technological advancement computers are used to teach. To sum it up if we compare chalks to computers , computers are on a another level but they can be both effective in teaching that is what I understand about Technology in education it is anything that can be used by teachers in instructing students in the classroom .
Most of us whenever we heard the word 'technoloy', the first thing that pops up in our mind is gadget and advance machines, but in reality technology was already there before us, technology is not only in the scope of gadgets, like cellphone, automatic machines, tv, etc. Technology is any science or knowledge put in to application. I was shock that even some animals are capable of technology for survival. Technology has change over the years, from simple technologies to complicated and advance technologies, and as they develop we adapt to them and make good use of these technology for our own purpose.
In the TED Talk that Mr Greg Toppo talked about, I truly agree that technology in education should not be anxious about. I cannot deny that people are afraid of the things that they don’t know or haven’t experience yet. Nonetheless, we should at least try it first, we will never know if it would work if we would never try. And if there are errors in the process, I know we will find ways to make that right. Because learning is all about trials and errors, and we shouldn’t not be afraid of learning.
Technology is the center of information, I believe this talk is an eye opener for all of us, that without technology our life wouldnt be easy. Technology has been a vital part of our life now everything, has to do with technology, in our food, in our work, and our everyday life. The attention of people has heightened in technology especially during the pandemic, it's because through it, we were still able to connect to the world even on isolations and lockdown. Education was able to continue amidst the threat to our health. In my opinion, technology has a greater impact in education especially in the field of science and medicine, due to the improvement of technology, students are more prepared to work in the field because they were able to simulate it in school and trainings.
I personally admit that my knowledge about the "real" or the factual surrounding circumstances regarding technology is still limited especially in terms of its origin, uses, and contribution to the society.
This video was uploaded way back in 2012 and what amazing is that it was just on this day and this year I've realized that technology meant beyond what ordinary people think of. As I listen to Mr. Toppo, there's this one striking thing he said that totally changed my perspective of technology and education. He shared that humans become superhumans because of technology, but, take note that it was because of, books, establishments, canned goods and other more. What do I mean? it simply made me think that technology is not only digitally present but also physically seen. When it talks about education, computers and internet is not the only technology we have! primarily, books and ball point pens were considered to be educational technology.
This video made me gain deeper understanding on how education and technology works since the young age of time up to how it evolve nowadays and made the world indeed a progressive place. At the last part of the talk, Mr. Toppo (or Seymour Pepper) said that schools should be a “Rio pre-carnival”, which means that schools should be a free environment, where every learners are capable of doing stuff, participating in any activities, works and learn together. The technology which includes the internet, is helping us to learn and have a vast knowledge about a certain topic but it limits us as well in many different ways. There are things that only the technology can give us but there are also things that we can gain only through a traditional kind of teaching, such as gaining experience and observing things in real life that the technology can never provide, the learners are supposed to engage in the process of learning, and feel that they are included. It seems to me that, the idea to merge or integrate technology to education is brilliant, because in this way we can improve our way of learning. However, nothing can match a real teacher in terms of teaching.

Through the use of technology, it has become easier for teachers to impart knowledge and for students to acquire it. We can easily obtain knowledge while enjoying the process. Moreover, technology gives a positive as well as negative impact to our lives. And it's up to us on how we can use it whether in a positive or negative way. But we must bear in mind that technology has the power or has a large access to change our lives. So we must be a wise user and observant and should be aware on what it would brings to our lives.

Today students are being dependent on technology to learn and gain information they need to study, but still their are student who dont appreciate what they have today, without knowing how students before struggles to study for them to learn. the need to read a lot of book, watch different kind of video. Write using pen and paper, but us today, we are very lucky to have technologies because everything is instant to gain. Mr. Toppo wants us to appreciate the things that we have, that we student need to make school a center learning facility and not a carnival.
After I watched the video, I felt amazed especially on the Presentation of Mr. Greg Toppo and on how he delivered the message about Educational Technology. I agree on Mr. Toppo's opinion that Technology is anywhere. In my perspectives, i consider Technology is part of our lives. I see that technology in today's society is relevant. It seems like wherever we go, technology is always there Especially in Education. Through the use of technology it makes our life easier. The development of our society is part of our technology. Every thing that surrounds us, technology always present. Some industries, businesses and factories are using machine to make their product easily done. From this, we observed that technology is anywhere and it is very important in our lives.
Sometimes we forget to realize that technology is everywhere. When we see a human invention, we think that.. Ahh, this is technology. But if we try to look at the smallest things in our surroundings, we might discover that technology is not only limited to the works of man, but is also evident on animal's intelligence. This is what I realized with Mr. Greg Toppo's presentation. At the beginning of his talk, he initially showed to the audience a contrasting situation which includes our youth, the students, or children in our generation. We can already think that the modern technology has played a great part in their education but there's also a set of drawbacks with that.
Yes technology is a perfect tool to allow more opportunities for students to grow and enhance their various learning styles, but generally speaking, the youth's view of realistic world seems to be clouded by the ideals of utopia from the virtual world brought by their engagement to technology. What's worst is the truth that students now are becoming more dependent to technology. Although these advancements and modernizations are all made for good possibilities in the future, people not knowing the limitations of these things are blurring out its real purpose, therefore not getting the real benefits of technology but instead its negative outcomes.
Personally, I like the style that Mr. Toppo presented his topic and notion. Getting the audience immersed to his talk by using humor is a wise move to allow them to relate on the presentation as well.
I like the way how he present his presentation because he create a timeline showing how technology evolve in human life. and as what he said technology play a vital role in our life, in farming, in city, even in our language and many more. But the most important or influential impact of technology is in education, in which technology make the task of teacher and students easier than before, as quoted "A fabulous exoskeleton that turned man into superman" by Kevin Kelly. this quotation leads me in realization that through technology makes our life meaningful, creative, and easier, because we all know that people now a days are more dependent in technology because it satisfy their needs to do their task efficient and effective.
Mr. Toppo got me at his joke about Prezi being dizzy-inducing, reminds me of my 3rd year high school days when we were task to make Prezi. Despite that, it was fun creating the presentation and seeing the reactions of my classmates. I think that is what Mr. Toppo is trying to point out.

Mr. Toppo states that it is a good thing because it creates multiple possibilities in learning and teaching. Teachers can use different platforms to make the discussion more engaging, like how Mr. Toppo uses Prezi with memes and humor to relate with his audience. Communication is thus enhanced, because we can now communicate more easily to others.
