When he said the second wave of the Spanish flu killed *everyone* who contracted it, I thought, "This may be the perfect bioweapon." First, you engineer it in the lab. Then you make a vaccine and vaccinate everyone in your own country. Then you unleash it on your least favorite enemy. Not advocating that, but it is something that even a small and poor country could potentially do.

6:52 Sun flare (ooh we have weapons that can do the same thing with EMP’s)
9:09 We develop a new life form (we have used synthetic vaccines and biological weapons are poised everywhere - oh and yes amateurs are experimenting at home! - We nearly killed all plant life a few years ago but the lab grown bacteria was cancelled from being released into the wild at the last minute)
11:50 AI takes over (some super computers have been classified as having “partial sentience” now and if that recent declassified UFO was a war vehicle just like the last one was the Nighthawk stealth bomber it’d have to be piloted at least in part by very intelligent AI)
12:25 Lots of volcanos go off (and we have bombs that can cause them to all go off)
14:54 Runaway greenhouse effect (looks like that’s started and we’re too late)
17:07 Nuclear war and or other nuclear disasters from war (ready and poised to go and we set fire to Chernobyl last month)
18:28 Asteroid (some close calls recently)

Bible prophecy has been proven to have happened, or come true. Records of prophetic events, that we recorded in early scrolls or scriptures...came true hundreds of years later according to historical data discovered through archaeological findings.
SO, if people can imagine things today as being a Futuristic event... Why not Trust that what God is relaying to us, will also come true? Matthew 24, had a two part meaning. One was for Jerusalem and it's future demise in 70 CE/AD - and one is for us today.

What made America into the land of opportunity was the incentive for highly educated people to come to America. In one of those countries you speak of a recent article talks about there being only one person left on the west cost that wants to be a painter. Hordes of cheap workers from east of Europe and other parts of the world do most of the hard, low level work, but they do not always settle, but instead move to where they can find work. In the other end of the scale you find that you need a bachelor degree to even work in a kinder garden in some areas. This creates an ENORMOUS pressure on the youth who can no longer expect to survive with a low level job.
Truth is, you don't NEED a large number of highly educated people to create a successful nation. You only need to maximize the incentive and opportunities for those few exceptional people to come and create jobs for the rest of us.

Great presentation - I do take issue with the Global warming portion or as he says "runaway greenhouse effect or ecological collapse". First, he had already said that volcanoes are the biggest reason why 98% of species on the planet earth have gone extinct (12:55). Then he says that every major extinction on planet earth has been characterized by rapid increases in CO2. Ah, maybe the rapid increases were due to the major volcanic eruptions that took place that were the major reasons for the extinction events (except for those pesky asteroids). You can't just say it was increases in CO2 that was the cause. Also, even with those vast quantities of C02, up to 5-6 times what we are experiencing now, did not lead to a runaway greenhouse effect. In addition, as he was saying about the geological activity on our planet, that is something that Venus never had. It has no magnetic field or tectonic activity. That is one of the reasons why the CO2 released into its atmosphere was never reabsorbed by the planet. He notes that if temperature rises 1.25 degrees more we will lose control of our weather...then he stops himself. We don't have control of our weather. He then says it will be unpredictable. He then goes on to blend this nebulous runaway greenhouse effect in with ecological collapse - but those two things have different mechanisms. There's a tipping point with the Amazon rainforest, and we are going to reach it, not because we are producing too much CO2 or other greenhouse gases, but because the Brazilians are chopping the Amazon down. But yes, let's continue with the narrative that global warming is the single most devastating threat we face, and let's destroy our economies to stop it, and then the other 7 ways we could extinction will just be unpreventable b/c the economies of the world won't support them. Fire a rocket to intercept an asteroid? The other issue with blending Climate Change with ecological collapse is that everyone (follow the money) is so focused on CC that we aren't improving our ecological management of the planet. The metric is "reduce CO2" as if that tells us anything. Here's a perfect example. The snows on Mt. Kilimanjaro are disappearing. The cause was assumed to be CC. But they aren't melting, they are evaporating. Why? Because on the upwind slope, the trees that use to be there have been cut down. The air now has less moisture so as it rises up to the top of the mountain, the dry air evaporates the snows/glacier. It's not CO2, it's clear cutting forests that is the cause. But hey, let's cut CO2 emissions and nothing else. Many of the glaciers in the Himalayas are under similar threat. Not from CC, but because India burns coal and wood for energy and soot is carried in the atmosphere and settles on the glaciers. They absorb more heat from the sun and the glaciers start to melt at a faster rate.
TL;DR - #3 should be ecological collapse, and leave that runaway GH out of it. (One real issue with CO2 is at 600 ppm, we could start seeing impact on human cognitive abilities. But fortunately by the time we get there, we will be all cyborgs, so it won't really matter...)
