I mean, I finished an auction for it for a buddy and ended with $275 and I just saw a raffle today with it for $170 msrp. Granted I’ve never had it before so my comment was mostly based on the auction. Do you think that price point is worth it?
@@glencairngamer I think it’s probably my bias against American single malts. They just don’t hit right for me. At least I haven’t found the right one yet. And I love Irish, Scotch, and Japanese single malts.
Incredibly fair, at least you are trying them and not swearing off them for good. I'll say for American Single Malts, Balcones (texas) has some incredible ones (at least for me)
I agree, and I’ll be trying it on a stream Feb 21. The buddy I bought it for is bringing it over so I’m pumped for that. I’m not excited to pay those types of prices but I never win raffles or lotteries so 🤷♂️
Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength would have come home with me along with those Ardnamurchan bottles... (Whew... You did end up getting one) And I wonder what the distillers were on the Single Cask Nation and Adelphi bottles... Decent Amrut selection too.
Like I said since it was my last store and I spent so much it was really hard! Next time I go there I’ll START with that store cause that selection was 🔥
Bro I’d be HOMELESS if I bought everything. Also I did say “or can’t buy right now” 😂 Also to be fair I didn’t really go into some of the sections close to the counters cause I’m still awkward filming in public 😭
That’s great to hear! I can’t wait to open mine, after I got done shopping and saw the receipt I saw a few things were priced wrong 😅 Penelope makes really good products (except Rio 😂)
The Four Roses recipes are actually really different, it is worth trying them all. However I don’t blame you for not buying these because those prices are not good, the new release (non-barrel strength) versions should only be $50.
I actually went to a store today and got the OBSF for $50 and not $83-$94. So pretty pumped to try that! $50 should absolutely be the prices for those all around
Those four roses are $45 in Massachusetts. Your prices seem pretty high down there. Won a Handy and an EF single barrel in our NH state lottery this year for msrp.
It is EXTREMELY store based in this area. I actually found a new OBSF for $50 yesterday in MD actually. $50 is our standard for those, $45 sounds awesome 🥃
@richdunn9774 yea I’ve heard good things about how NH handles stuff and the prices. Honestly state run states are only as good as the liquor boards are. NC stores have never impressed me
Seeing comments like this make me feel so much better about it. It’s still so sad and upsetting that $400 is a “good deal” but it’s just the reality sometimes. Hope you find one my man 🥃
I agree. However, if there is a bottle you want and never see, then finally see it and it isn’t full secondary reaching a bit in price isn’t the worst thing in the world.
Thanks for the shopping video. Now I know where to buy my husband whiskey!
🥃🔥 happy to share!
LFGGGGG, this vid was sick.
Thanks my dude! Definitely enjoy filming the shopping videos
Good content again. Keep it up!
Thank you my friend, any tips or critiques are always welcomed as well, always trying to improve
So excited for the penelopes you got for me! Looking forward to both the 9 and 10 year!
Yea man we should crack one together! Very curious what is in store for us
$315 for that Parker’s 14 is actually a good price. I have been looking for that bottle. I would have jumped on it.

Had a pour of that Parker’s at my favorite restaurant. Not my jam.
@chriswright1160 oh man, what about it didn’t you like?

That ArdnaAmerica Tour #2 is fantastic!
I can’t wait to crack it! Madeira finishes for me lately have been 🔥🔥
Cheers my friend 🥃
Honestly $400 for Thomas Handy isn’t horrible all things really considered

Dude how did you walk past all that Glen Garioch and say nothing here... Holy S man! And those Tamdhu Batch Proofs! Killer!
Bro I’d be HOMELESS if I bought everything. Also I did say “or can’t buy right now” 😂

That Penelope 10yr single barrel estate bottle is one of my favorites from 2024 😋, plus it was priced WRONG 😉👍💯😬

Thomas Handy here is a surprise. In Europe it costs over 550€ so this bottle is very rare and expensive. I think this dram will be epic.
Greetings 👍🥃
Yes it’s crazy, I’m not happy about what was paid for it but yea my buddy really loved it!

@ it’s the same in Massachusetts. Nh is state run so prices are usually good but the variety is lacking. Each stores the same basically.

Every store I’ve found the roses in md and Delaware have been $50. Those border stores are crazy with their prices
@wrenchfries9892 yea that seems to be the issue. I found the OBSF for $50 at Angels Share in Gambrills though!
Mitcher toasted up next to coy hill , what was that price ?
$200 it looks like. But crazy IMO.
But I’m not huge on the toasted craze
Dang I would grab a Handy for $400. Been looking for that one and only see 899-1000.

The Dogfish isn't good.
You know, I kind of had a feeling it wasn't, but I keep seeing it around more and more figured I'd ask. Thanks!
“If you want something good you need to pay for it”. No you don’t. There is a metric ton of great whiskey on shelves for good prices
I agree. However, if there is a bottle you want and never see, then finally see it and it isn’t full secondary reaching a bit in price isn’t the worst thing in the world.
