Arnold (T800) asked the gun shop owner for a phased-plasma rifle in the 40-watt range in the first Terminator. So, I would assume that it is a combat weapon since it sounds the same.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who got that reference.

Hi Kevin, I really like what you found out about the match color scheme of Techno-Vipers and Dr. Mindbender!! They look great together, and they really suit to each other as a team, with a leader. Really good addition to the G.I.Joe universe. I think there are so many little details still to discover and find out about this collection, that it makes it really exciting. It is again one of the aspects that makes this universe so great. Great review!!!

Hi Kevin. Again is nice to see that you are also reviewing the 1987 series, and beyond, so far until 1989. I am also, as you are more into the first series, in my case, until 1986, so there is the big part of my collection, but I also really like collecting many different figures and vehicles and play-sets from 1987 until 1990, and some other really random things beyond those years.
What I wanted to tell you, and maybe you also noticed, is that 1987 is a very particular series because is the year you have the biggest amount of figures with very little antennas, microphones, air-tubes or flash-lights (these figures are Falcon, Psyche-Out, Outback, Dodger, Sneak-Peek, Hard Top, Cobra Commandeer, Big Boa, Croc Master, Royal Guardsmen and W.O.R.M.S.)
This make this series very interesting and at the same time a bit frustrating to find 100% some of this figures, some are not that difficult, but some others are very hard to find.

His helmet style reminds me in the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica (1978)

Hello! Thanks for the great review! I am looking forward to find what's the length of the hoses that the Techno-Viper accessories use. I bought a Techno-Viper that misses the hoses and since this isn't part of my childhood collection, I have no idea how long are them.

When are you going to do a review on Backstop? I'm not a fan of his (or the Persuader) but I'm interested to hear a Canadian's take on his own countryman :D

Unless someone sends me a Backstop with Persuader for free, I'll probably never do a review of them. I'll admit I don't like the look of the tank or the figure. And the fact he's been chased out of Canada for being "too rough in junior hockey" is insulting. That would actually be the main reason to keep him!
