Original fan of GI joe from 1982 -1986
February 2, 1964 says hello.
Then you saw there was too much variation. There was male head, male head with beard and female head.
Breaker, Snow Job, Clutch and Rock-n-Roll were all the same except for hair color.
@@jasonrhodes9726 Yes, some of the characters look great but some i would change the designs a bit. Like the dreadknocks and espacially the BATS. I think the best look are the original cardboard for the action figures. Anyway i was always more a Cobra fan.
@karna1897 a lot of the original designs wouldn't transfer to real life or to a movie screen very well.
@@bradwhite9178 Not sure about that but i'm not an expert so you must be right,
The Sgt. Slaughter thumbnail brought me here.
All hail the WWF!
I still call it WWF to this day. Attitude era was the shit.
So is Rody Piper, one of the WWF greats!!
Me and my brother got tired of GI Joe when we were kids and turned them into wrestlers. It was called the NWF complete with managers and paper championship belts. The dreadnocks was the meanest stable ever formed
Where do you think vince got the idea 😂 obviously cause gi joes were the craze at the time and the represent the all american hero
SGT Slaughter is allready a real person...
Yeah, and as such, he's not 30 anymore but the immortal character lives on. I love that depiction of the Sarge - a no nonsense, intimidating man's man.
@@brandonr8269 Met him a few years ago. He's still pretty impressive.
Yes....and no.
He didn't include Refrigerator Perry, but maybe in a part 2.
What about the Ultimate Warrior?!
Video was so awesome I high fived my younger self. Tell me Terry Crews wouldn’t make a perfect Roadblock
Lol Terry would be a good Roadblock.
Terry Crews was created in a lab to play Roadblock.
The rapper David Banner might make a better Roadblock. The Mississippi tattoo would even work.
Mike Colter as well. The guy that played Luke Cage.
@@KIDSOUL777 oh yeah he could be a good contender
So basically, you're either a ninja or a hottie in the Joeverse. To a six year old in the eighties, that sounds about right.
Simpler times
Better than the movies.
Retaliation was actually a pretty decent movie. It's one of those odd cases where the sequel is better than the first movie. I liked both movies but Retaliation was my favorite and I was disappointed when a third movie was never made.
We deserved better G.I. Joe and Transformers movies...
@@youngw1ze Seconded. Now... how do we convince Geeky here to make them?
@@youngw1ze 100% on better GI Joe movies and no to Transformers. They had their time on screen. GI Joe has always been a 5th wheel with all these movies. Its time to make a high def bad ass movie or Avenger like movie for GI Joe but it all depends on how they off Cobra Commander. The insane, screamy and scratchy throat fool that we all love. I dont know who that was in those movies but that was not the real Cobra Commander. Avted more like Dr. Mindbender than CC if you ask me
The movies are a great example of why only autistic nerds should be allowed to make established franchise adaptions.
As a huge original GI Joe fan, this is freaking awesome. Incredible job.
Thanks dude
The classified team needs to take notice of some of these designs.
I would watch a gi joe movie if they took some cues from this.
Being a 80s kid, this is a trip lol. Storm shadow is the shit
Knock....Knock....Hollywood are you there? This is your next blockbuster.....do not screw it up...!!!
Unfortunately they would screw it up.
Didn't Hollywood already screw it up?
Buzzers mullet was majestic
I was supposed to make a ponytail but I think it didn't work out.
These concepts already have all live action movies beat by a very long shot

Hope you checked my other video's too
Not gonna lie, I was bummed that Bazooka wasn't included.
Just keep an eye on the posts by hitting that bell button. Let me know your list when Im doing the next G.I. joe video.
Or Leatherneck. I can hear him and Wet Suit bickering already.
They included General Mayhem but failed to include GI Joe Specialist Trakker
I was bummed Rock N Roll wasn't included
me too.
The Sgt. Slaughter one was over the top! Nicely done!
A real American heroes, GI Joe is there.
Personal favorite GI Joe characters are: Duke, Snake eyes, scarlet, Sgt. Slaughter, lady Jade, and jinx.
Well done on this music that pumps up the theme of GI Joe, Yo Joe
That's my favorite thing about G.I. Joe: both the Joes and Cobra are literal armies of specialists. Many of them look and bring something fairly unique to their teams (except for some sub-groups like ninjas, Zartan's Dreadnocks, etc.) So when a mission is put together, you know there is always a reason to include whoever gets to go.
No words can describe the epicness..watching this video is like watching the film credits of an EPIC GI Joe movie... Im an old school Gi Joe since Generation 1, as these youngs kids say "The soundtrack didnt have to go hard, but it DID, and we all salute you for it...
I drove around the parking lot in Vegas at work, checking for debris.. this soundtrack kicks in, i took the golf cart off road, jumping sand dunes , yelling "YO JOE" in 100 degree weather....😅
Lol, dive safe and stay tuned for part 2.
@@Geekyzilla Yo Joe!!
@@Geekyzilla Edit: STEELER and his tank was my 1st Gi Joe, hope to see him , Ace ( Skystriker) or Bazooka
@@Thinker77 sure, ill try my best to get it done soon.
Had to edit my post to get the name right... There was also Space G.I. Joe's in case you need ideas, the Tele-vipers...
All in all, take your time, good videos takes time to create... I'm watching the other videos, and can guess The Transformers, M.a.s.k, or Voltron is a future project ( or the Smurfs if you want to see RUclips comments go nuts)
How many characters does Brad Pitt play? lol
Hard to believe I don't recognize two thirds of these characters. And didn't know they made Roddy Rowdy Piper a Joe.
I think he was a cobra
@@Geekyzillayes, Iron Grenader (sp?) trainer
@@wesleysteeleiv also Baroness BF
For a while in the 80s they had a bunch of real-life characters (or at last characters played by real people) associated with the franchise. Sgt. Slaughter was the only one that lasted, but they had Piper and Rocky Balboa as well. In the latter case, the licensing agreement fell through so the toy never ended up being produced. Big Boa was created to be his nemesis.
@@Geekyzilla How many does she have? I thought Destro was her boyfriend.
Hasbro should definitely take u as their designer for the 6” Classified line up
If you do another, get William the "Refrigerator" Perry in there and the S.N.A.K.E Armor!
Already on my list. Just remind me in the weekly update post.
Nice, work. Why does everyone neglect or forget GI Joe's "Stalker", SGM Lonzo Wilkerson? The first "GI Joe" to be recruited, best friend to Snake-Eyes, adoptive brother (in-arms) to Scarlet, respected frien-enemy to Storm-Shadow, and the only Joe to lead more mission than any other? There are whole comic book story arcs around this character, whose likenss was patterend after Carl Weathers, RIP.
Dude you have to keep an eye on my posts, I think I asked people twice about the characters they wanted to see in the upcoming video. Hit the notification bell icon as hard as possible...
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing! I have the G.I. Joe comics and when I saw Stalker in issue #1 sneak up on a deer, I was hooked on the character!
@@johnshaw9480, here, here. The first time I read that scene, I knew or assumed the 'hunter' was going to kill the deer. Ironically, Joe, codenamed "Stalker," tries not to kill but instead admires. It really turns the genre (in comics) on its ear.
I know he's not part of the team BUT how about Chuck "Walker" Norris, former soldier. Bada$$ all round
@@darrellhall6622 what about him? Carlos and I are actually members of the same Nation, [Cherokee Nation Western Band.]
Low-Light and Fire Fly were the first 2 figures I had as a kid..
Excellent job. Sergeant slaughter was incredible.
Glad you enjoyed it
Man, they ought to take your ideas here and give us a full fledged gi Joe series.
Colton should have a scar on his face and Recondo should have a handlebar mustache. Good job!
This right here makes me realize, with absolute certainty, making a good GIJOE movie is next to impossible. If you go for accuracy, it’ll end up being goofy looking and hokey AF. If you stray away from the source material to deliver something a bit harder edged that’s more tactical minded, you alienate the fan base. There is a middle ground, but, two movies in, Hollywoods yet to find it. This AI generated trailer shows some of what could work and a whole bunch of what would not.
Keep in mind that the script at least 90 to 95 percent of the battle
When I think about a G I Joe cinematic universe I think about the 80s and 90s animated series but with real stakes people getting injured or killed showcasing all the vehicles looking awesome and Cobra and G I Joe troops in large scale battles We could start the first 10 minutes of the movie with a back story of cobra commander being a disgruntled used car salesman who becomes compelled to take over the world
Introducing all the original characters and vehicles in the first film and add more for each movie just like the good ole days By the 5th or 6th film we bring in my boy Serpentor and then maybe Cobra la but the selling point is always going to be the writing and script being good which ain't happened yet
P S
Please keep Dwayne the Rock Johnson as far away from this franchise as Masters of the Universe is from hitting the big screen 😅😅😅
Some characters like Destro and Zartan would be hard to pull off believably in live action. Especially Destro with his mask.
The answer that the cash grabbing producers won't take, is to make the franchise in the same style as the motion capture 3d animated film Tin Tin. It was a perfect middle ground. And then it would fit seamlessly with a Transformers franchise.
Completely agree with this. Hollywood is ruled by money and there isn’t enough money in the old school fan base to make something like this and there isn’t enough money in making something gritty which the fan base don’t like because the characters look wrong.
So wrong
A lot of them look like Chris Hemsworth.
That’s my
Only gripe - Hemsworth would be playing half of them 😃
I love to see Stalker! It ain't the same team without him!
This was awesome and it reminded me of how HUGE the JoeVerse is. If a part 2 happens, I'd love to see Torpedo, Low Light, Stalker, Shooter, Wild Bill, Alley Viper, Xamot and Tomax, Wild Weasel, and more of the various Vipers. Either way, I thank you for this love letter to my childhood
I've already done Xamot and Tomax, just keep an eye on the posts so you can remind me again. I'll be making part 2 soon.
@@GeekyzillaWould love to see some of the classic vehicles featured as well. They’re unique characters as much as the actual Joes themselves. 🖖
@@MightyYaks believe me I tried but the unique designs are too difficult to replicate. I will try again when I do part 2
Yes, LowLight! He's another one I almost forgot about.
@@videojeff01 part two is out and has a great depiction of lowlight
If only the movie was this good o/
They could make a good movie like this but it cant be made with real people cgi like resident evil not the live action one but the cgi ones that were better then the live action final fantasy was also well made as a cgi and not live action
The revisioning of Cobra Commander and Destro are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I remember when I had to cut out a coupon and mail it in with a money order of $5.99 to get Sgt Slaughter GI Joe Action Figure. I sold my whole GIANTIC GI Joe collection for $6,500 in2007
I had The USS Flagg AirCraft Carrier and the Fort America
Fridge was also a part of GI Joe
Congratulations on the beautiful work, I really liked it
This is AWESOME!! There are soooo many characters I didn't know existed!
The mustaches in this video are on fleek
Yeah, and Ambush's stach is verging on being a bad guy's stach. 😂
Who else went 'PORK CHOP SANDWICHES!" at Barbecue?
Blowtorch was the Porkchop Sandwiches guy.
I did my best weird alien modulated voice for BBQ.
This song in next level ive had it on repeat non stop
As a fan of the 1980's cartoon these were awesome!
Sgt Slaughter actuallly is Robert Remus retired wrestler who still occasionally works as an ambassador for WWE, he still does a lot of voice acting work.
😂😂😂 vince took the idea to make slaughter that he exiseted way before the wrestler
He signed my copy of the movie with his ENTIRE "There's two ways out of my command" bit. I was in awe.
This was dope! Thanks man 👍🏾 I had plenty of those action figures as a kid!!!
This Sgt Slaughter would have retained the WWF title over Hogan at WM 7.
just watched this video and had to subscribe. also bringing me back to my childhood 80's
If they ever try to make another live-action G.I. Joe movie, they MUST put you on the design team!
ikr lol, I just tried to copy everything from the orignal design. If they do that then thats all.
It's almost like the character designs are already laid out for the costume department or something....
As a 50 something hillbilly, who grew up on the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s Joes. Damn awesome!!!!! You have a great vision of our heroes and villains. Such as this, will carry GI Joe to future generations of American boys. Yo Joe!!!!!! Freaking awesome soundtrack!!!!!! More dammit!
NO live action movie! It will always be a disaster! It's too many characters to introduce and develop with a live actor's skill to make work in a way that won't seem cheesy. Joe belongs in animated, comics and toys, that's it.
Consider the Avengers movie. All those characters had a few solo films each in many cases prior to the Avengers to give the actors a chance to make themselves as the character fit in the role. GI Joe can't pull this off, no matter what ensemble of actors tries.
Should have put him on the Classified toy design, too. Those Dreadnoks, man, THAT'S what Dreadnoks should be.
They should definitely do a cartoon with artwork like this. This type of Artwork would push them to the top.
I was waiting for Nemesis Enforcer. Then came the bonus content. Excellent.
I had many of these action figures as child. This fills me with nostalgic happiness remembering bringing these characters to life in my mind and the back yard.
Very good. I'd love to see more characters like Airtight, Shockwave and Cobra Raptor.
Here's a funny coincidence, Sgt. Slaughter is actually a real person. He was a WWF wrestler whose real name is Robert Remus. They made a G.I Joe action figure base off his WWF character. William "The Refrigerator" Perry was also a real person they based the action figure off of, the fridge played in the NFL.
I hardly know many of these Joes and Cobras but man how a series with these guys would be awesome!
It's nice to know that GI Joe has not been for getting about
Most look great! Love to see an annimated movie with this style
I want an R-Rated GI-Joe movie series.
@Adino1 : Patience, My Lad. Stay Tuned and Stand By for Follow On ......!!
Doctor Mindbender been clanging and banging. Nice video my friend! 👍
This would be an awesome animated movie
This was insane! I enjoyed enjoyed ENJOYED EVERY SECOND OF THIS. You should be in charge of making the next joe movie using this!
I'm so old (51). I don't recognize any of the newer characters but still a fan. I even played the collectable card game while it was out. Too bad it wasn't able to compete with some of the other already established TCGs.
Fun fact, I used the card game images as reference for making some of the characters. I used to play top trumps too :D
Woah! this is the movie we need.
The movie we deserve :D
Very cool! I'm not familiar with a few of these but most are pretty much on point. Yo Joe!
This was way more awesome than I am comfortable admitting.... My 80's child self thanks you.
The ideals of virility and martial vigour must be passed on from previous generations to the new ones.
Nicely done
Good grief! As a longtime G.I. Joe fan, like since 1982 when the Real American Hero first got started, l have to say that I am absolutely astounded by this. While most of the images are not always what I would call iconic to the original figures, they're still amazing, and as has been pointed out, if there's ever another live-action movie, this video should be mandatory viewing for the design team, with the advisory, "This is how we're going to do it this time". And the soundtrack was just as incredible. I also can't get over the character selection. I half-expected the Lunartix Empire aliens to show up before it was done. VERY well done! YO JOE!
There should never be another live action movie. There should never be a Transformers crossover, either. Stupid. Make it animated, with characters that look like these. For example, the Dreadnoks depiction here makes them look like bad asses, not moronic boobs who don't deserve to battle GI Joe. They're pirates and bikers, make them pirates and bikers and make no apologies for it. Dads and Moms who grew up as rabid fans will still take their kids of say 13, to a flick that's got a real edge to it, not the stupid Dino DiBonaventura flicks
You did some amazing work here. My list i would ask for is , Mainframe, Dialtone, Bazooka, Zap, Shortfuse, Airborne , Ace, Tripwire, Steeler, Rock n Roll definitely, Wild Weasel and Copperhead and maybe some of the Cobra gray suit generic drivers. Thank you for the content and looking forward to the next video
I sure hope their will be a mini fan film of this, this was excellent well put together perfect for a modern day gi joe movie
Nice job on the cues, most of them are really good. The song was really good too!
Really liked a lot of these. Cobra Commander, Destro, and Beach Head were my favorites.
I remember as a kid reading comics, and I filled out a request form to order the Sgt. Slaughter GI Joe action figure. Did the same with the Refrigerator Perry GI Joe action figure. They didnt sell those in stores so you had to order them back then. It took over a month before I received them, but was so happy when I got them. Good old days😢😢😢
Spectacular work! Top 10 for me: Scrap Iron, Copperhead, Baroness, Snow Job, Alpine, Cover Girl, Doc, Metalhead, Flint and Firefly. Great to hear a Part 2 is planned. Wild Bill, Wild Weasel, original B.A.T., Crimson Guard, Polar Assault, Lift Ticket, Cross Country and maybe some of the iconic vehicles (Fang, Rattler, Hovercraft, Night Raven, Hiss, Awe Striker) would be great to see.
Would've loved to have seen Stalker , Bazooka , Law and Order ' Lowlight , Downtown , Mainframe , Leatherneck , Footloose Cross-country " Oh well pretty presentation of most of my favorite characters " Thanks man !
Ill do a part 2 soon ,stay tuned.
You got Miles Mayhem, so dont forget Matt Tracker in the next one
The october guard, crimson guard, firefly, televiper, cobra foot soldiers, stalker, rip cord, laser trooper... should have been included instead of a lot of these later characters
I'm sure I made firefly, the rest I'll try to get done in part 2. Keep an eye on the posts where I ask for suggestions.
This was 🔥
I was glad to see Scrap-Iron and Firefly included.
Finally someone whose happy with what they got :D
I needed to see Rampart, but you guys crushed this so hard. Amazing, and that song was an absolute banger
There's a part two too 😅
Best so far of the "brought to life" cartoon characters! Some nice deep cut characters as well! ❤
I think Cobra Commander and Destro were just so iconic and have the best looks.
We begin to appreciate the villains as we grow older... :D
This reminded me of a bunch of characters I had nearly forgotten about like Chuckles, Recondo, Barbecue, Road Pig, Buzzer and his gang. Also that shot of StormShadow at 7:11 looks great (except he should of been wearing tabi boots)
This is fantastic, would love to see one that included Rock N Roll and Bazooka.
Rock n roll is there...
@Geekyzilla I saw Heavy Duty but no ROCK-n-ROLL.
@@roadglide127 yeah, I checked the whole video again and didn't find him. Somehow, I missed him in the final cut. I will make sure I get him in the next part. Sorry :)
That is incredible, the music, the poses, you are a master
Nunchuck is like scorpion outfit
A fan here in Brazil was almost moved to tears. Excellent job!!! It was even possible to launch a line again with these characters, along these lines.
Stay tuned, I'm working on a part 2
@@Geekyzilla I am happy!!! I am already following you!!! In the other parts we could have: Grunt, Stalker, Over Lord and Sci Fi.

Damn just seen this love it great job.
That's one of the coolest GI-Joe related videos ever! Fkkn awesome!
Wow, thanks! working on a part 2. Stay tuned.

I used 80s aesthetics in my prompts
For a minute there I was wondering where the generic Cobra goons were!
In the end...
Ready to see G.I. Joe Characters broth to life looking for it to be better
Amazing. Everyone looks great! I’m ready for part two with Airborne, Low Light, Law, Airtight, and Low Light.
There are so many characters, i think I can work on a part two in the future
This is amazing! Great job!
G.I.JOE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST
The movies STUNK
YO JOE!!!
Wow. This dug deep into the various iterations of the characters; i. e Princess Armada, Guillotine, Body Bags, Robojoe, etc., and they all look great. I would love to see a CH Joe series.
Tom Sellek as Recondo!
This is awesome. Great work.
