@@Kr3nkt it can sound like a lot but belive me man, when you math this kind of shitty buffs into the whole damage calculation the effort is not rewarded, there are so many buffs liek this in the game, Faruzan have a a buff that give dmg like a shenhe quill equal to some of her attack, is not worth, the whole kit of YunJin is like this, arguably even things like Albedo C2 is so minimal in the big scheme of things that's is just not viable from an investment point, and debatable to do even when you can afford it due to how little those increases are

On Arle the HP is probably not worth the ER, but Mualani is actually really good at funneling particles to her own supports, her E only has a 5 second CD, if Candace isn't at 100% energy you can just do a quick uncharged E and swap to Candace.
It's still important to remember that exists cuz having 20% DMG bonus Vs something like 35% DMG bonus is a big difference At 40k hp, it's an additional 20% DMG bonus which also applies to everything, not just NA

levelling up her burst may be more worth it than hp since the A4 buff is more like yun jin of shenhe's buff, which would benefit more low dmg attacks than one instance of normal atk nuke dmg.

In my opinion, Candance has never been a bad character, her kit works as it should and is purposefully niche. It's just that now more characters have appeared who can take better advantage of her niche.
A niche character can only be good if their niche is actually good. Candace's problem before was that she didn't have particularly good options. I mean, look at Mika who was also meant to fill a niche role, yet he still isn't on a Faruzan level for Eula. Similarly, even as of now Candace doesn't actually reach the usefulness of Faruzan or Chevreuse when comparing the niches :/
@tamas9554 I would say the reason for this is that Faruzan and Chevreuse have much broader niches. One buffs the damage of an entire element and the other buffs an entire reaction, while Candance specifically buffs normal attacks which is MUCH more niche.

I expected Candace to be 5 star, honestly. Her design is just so perfect. Candace, Ningguang, and Venti have been niche characters that I've had on my list to find a way to build.
I got her final constellation from the event, and she finally graduated 12F in Arlecchino's team. I just put Emblem + Exile (ER/HP/HP) + Prototype Starglitter on her, for a total of 260% ER.

True but she’s always been important to me my Candace is doing 69k vape with her E. But nvm that I love everything about her design, the perfect blend of her skin tone the gold & blueish color, her eyes and ive had her as my pfp every since i C6 her! I have jade spear on her since I don’t have any other significant pole arms but that’s good enough for me 👍. I plan on continuing to invest in her just like with my Mona! Hydro is peak.

I pulled like crazy last banner to get Candace to C5 so I can C6 her with the Nahida event. While my main goal for her is on another (far less meta) team, I also happen to have an Arlecchino so will try this pairing as well.
I got her C1 and use her in my Gaming team. She’s mainly there to fill in attacks between plunges during Gaming’s burst since Furina doesn’t alway hit the enemy I need her to. Her infusion has helped his damage quite a bit despite the clunky rotation (Xingqiu did make it smoother.) Although, Lvl60 Candace with 1/1/1 talents out there doing 25k with her hold skill and Xingqiu’s artifacts is a sight to see lol
I haven't tried yet but you can also get Mualani buffed by Yun Jin, especially if you have her c2. She buffes NA damage a lot but only if the character who is buffed has small NA ratio. So I think it would work good with Mualani also.
As a vape Plunge Candace player I am super stoked at the thought of Mavuika or Pyro Traveler giving me someone a little less energy starved to apply pyro Hopefully their kits work out that way
Note, candace SHOULD build hp once you have enough er for that A4 passive, that really helps for damage increases for characters like arlecchino and mualani, especially mualani
Because I'm hoping for Mavuika to be a Xiangling replacement, I'm holding off on activating my Candace's C6 bc she's major in my Mualani team. Hopefully Mavuika will apply enough Pyro that her C6 is not detrimental
5:10, quick note, using 2pc emblem and 2pc cinder on xianling can help a lot, it gives 6 energy per nightso burst proc, ehich you get every 12 seconds in this team specifically
Okay, you convinced me. Im going to build her with Instructor set for Mualani team. I don't have Xilonen and Im currently coping with my current Mualani team.
Genshin should add a system for counter characters like Candace, Yunjin and Beidou where if you switch them in right when an enemy attacks they parry immediately, just like ZZZ. We already have instant burst switch it, this is like instant skill switch in.
I have her as an on field dps with furina, xilonen, and ficshle. It is actually a really solid team, and with the electro charge buff coming (as well as ororon) it will only get better.
I like using my Candace in a weird freeze team with Kaeya as main dps. His normals have extra scaling and extra crit rate with constalations so he does decent hydro damage by normal attacking which provides hydro to freeze with his burst.

hoping there's some new mechanic builds for old characters, like personalize character weapons, artifacts, and etc. in candace case, adding mechanics like increase poise resistance when burst or when perfect counter increase dmg bonus for active character, something like that increase value of her.
Candace is the first character I pulled when I started playing (I think it was her first banner), and the first character I C6'd. I've used her on my electro-charged team ever since and I still love playing her.

I remember using her as a vape dps for a while with Homa cus her design is top tier, i am a sucker for heterochromia and her japanese voice is amazing as well And also her lore Then i used her in HB with Nahida and Yelan where Kuki was the driver with the hydro infusion, really fun She is also fun with Noelle Yunjin, Furina, Candace hyperbuff Noelle to a funny levels Gorou might be better, not sure but i didn't had Gorou at the time and Candace worked really well in that slot Now at C6, she is a perfect partner for my C2R1 Arlecchino Arle, Xilonen, Kazuha and Candace just delete anything, ST or AoE, it's probably my best team I use both Kazu and Xilo cus i refuse to use the fugly bennett and his dumb circle I don't even have Mualani so her Natlan buff didn't do anything for me So yeah, i was using Candace since day one but i do agree that she is very niche for most people
Absolutely adore Candace, adore all the desert dwellers from Sumeru and wish we had gotten more five stars of them. I use her with Arlecchino, Xilonen, and Dehya (sorry, I just am not a fan of circle impact so I bench my Bennie as much as possible). Additionally, I did use her with my niche Nilou team of Baizhu and Kaveh who is on field doing the beating while it blooms away.
I have straight up, not heard a good reason to put instructor's set on Candace during Arlecchino's guide. You're not vaping Arle's attacks so what's the reason?
I used to see her as a Quickbloom support, especially for Cyno. Buffs normal attacks and has a slow Hydro application on her C6, it would be a perfect pair... but her competition was way better for that role and less expensive and, at lest for Cyno, her buff is too short for him. That was before Clorinde release.
I think the nilou team section could use some improvement, candace on deepwood with both nahida and yaoyao on flower of paradise lost tends to result in slightly faster clears for c6 candace
Nice video :3 But one thing. Couldnt she also run Tenacity Set like zhongli for atk buff and and the extra hp increases the normal atk buff even more. like 40k HP converts to 20% and her ult 20% for 40% ?! :)
The 4 piece Tenacity of the Millelith's attack buff isn't consistent on Candace because that buff triggers from elemental skill damage. (So unless you are using a whole bunch of snapshot characters, no.) Candace's element skill damage cooldown is too slow to have consistent buff uptime, and her C6 is considered burst damage, so also useless for keeping up the Tenacity buff. Tenacity works for Zhongli because his geo constructs send constant shockwaves. If you just want to stack crazy amounts of HP, you could do a 2+2 HP artifact set (Varukasha's Glow and Tenacity), but I'd recommend you do the damage calculations to see if it's worth all that farming (or if the farming is better spent on the character that Canadace is supporting).
Im almost positive it's coping hard assuming mavuika replaces xiangling in mualani teams. Im sure she will be usable in some of the mualani teams, but i doubt she will have anywhere near xianglings app for the double hydro variants.
Suggestion: when you use names of artifacts, add a picture of the artifact to be more clear 😅 Because I was confused. Also, would you recommend building her with EM?
I have C6 Candace and love her design and character so much. But i don't have Arlecchino or Mualani, because i simply don't get along with their gameplay. Gotta try out the Nilou-Team tho :)
Am still hoping to eventually C6 her as one of my favorite 4* (just behind Beidou and around Noelle and YaoYao's level) and overall favorite characters - she hangs out with Dehya and Beidou in my second tier behind Neuvi and Nahida. TT_TT
i play Candance with release in a Cyno or Eula team. And she was not bad but in the end i use my main team for exploration and fight. (Eula, Raiden, Yelan and a healer) After Sumeru i stop playing and with Natlan i play more Genshin again, but i see i have to play only tank chars with elementary reactions. But Dehya feels better on this map now, after the disappointment of her release
Mualani can do big burst damage but she's kinda slow and clunky right now. A Seigwinne-buffed Furina probably does more DPS, it's kinda funny seeing Furina's pets regularly crit for 200k, and she's just the buffer and "sub" DPS who provides "free" damage. And she makes Ayaka does like 2 million damage Bursts without some kind of impratical convoluted setup. Furina is just such a broken character.
The only reason why i haven't built candace is because i want to at least c6 her (only have c3) and my polearm option is very limited. The only 4 star i have is favonius lance (like only 3 of them) while the rest is either not very good or doesn't have good stats.

That first team is midriff supremacy, too bad I don’t have mualani. I do a similar team for my nilou team already but I use c2 yelan for the second hydro slot which works out really nice. I’ll probably build her to 70 for theater and if I ever get c6 might build her.
As always, overall an amazing Video! What Set would you say is good to put on her to just slot her in any of her "best" or "mid-best" teams? I like the char design and I am fine on losing 100% value.. But I also hate changing sets since gearing up characters isnt exactly the easiest/fastest in genshin (to be fair in any gacha).. according to the video so far I guess you would just put Instructor and that would be best for overall use (not 100% optimal) .. but is there another one that can be slapped on her and she would just work in all the teams?
I found a less annoying way to use Petra on Candace , kachina c6 , when you use Candace skill it's considered as a breaking shield so kachina do AOE DMG in same time of Candace hydro DMG with the skill, so you get instant hydro cristal 😊, ok kachina it's a bit less good to buff but it way faster/easy to use Petra on Candace like this.

A low performing but still pretty fun use for Candace is with Beidou on Thundering Fury for a very active counter and taser based play style.

Genshin should add a system for counter characters like Candace, Yunjin and Beidou where if you switch them in right when an enemy attacks they parry immediately, just like ZZZ.
We already have instant burst switch it, this is like instant skill switch in.

I have her as an on field dps with furina, xilonen, and ficshle. It is actually a really solid team, and with the electro charge buff coming (as well as ororon) it will only get better.

I like using my Candace in a weird freeze team with Kaeya as main dps. His normals have extra scaling and extra crit rate with constalations so he does decent hydro damage by normal attacking which provides hydro to freeze with his burst.
I'm finally wanting to build her, but I have always gotten rid of my four-star artifacts because I never thought I would be needing them. 😅

hoping there's some new mechanic builds for old characters, like personalize character weapons, artifacts, and etc.
in candace case, adding mechanics like increase poise resistance when burst or when perfect counter increase dmg bonus for active character, something like that increase value of her.

Candace is the first character I pulled when I started playing (I think it was her first banner), and the first character I C6'd. I've used her on my electro-charged team ever since and I still love playing her.
Thx for the video ! For Candace Mualani team, 4PC instructor or 4PC Archaic Petra could be very similar. Zhongli seems better here with archaic petra and res shred.
I remember using her as a vape dps for a while with Homa cus her design is top tier, i am a sucker for heterochromia and her japanese voice is amazing as well

Then i used her in HB with Nahida and Yelan where Kuki was the driver with the hydro infusion, really fun
She is also fun with Noelle
Yunjin, Furina, Candace hyperbuff Noelle to a funny levels
Gorou might be better, not sure but i didn't had Gorou at the time and Candace worked really well in that slot
Now at C6, she is a perfect partner for my C2R1 Arlecchino
Arle, Xilonen, Kazuha and Candace just delete anything, ST or AoE, it's probably my best team
I use both Kazu and Xilo cus i refuse to use the fugly bennett and his dumb circle
I don't even have Mualani so her Natlan buff didn't do anything for me
So yeah, i was using Candace since day one but i do agree that she is very niche for most people

Absolutely adore Candace, adore all the desert dwellers from Sumeru and wish we had gotten more five stars of them.
I use her with Arlecchino, Xilonen, and Dehya (sorry, I just am not a fan of circle impact so I bench my Bennie as much as possible). Additionally, I did use her with my niche Nilou team of Baizhu and Kaveh who is on field doing the beating while it blooms away.
I don’t have Xilonen so I’ll see how well that Mualani team works with Kachina.
I’d love to have a team that can use Candice.
I have straight up, not heard a good reason to put instructor's set on Candace during Arlecchino's guide. You're not vaping Arle's attacks so what's the reason?
I used to see her as a Quickbloom support, especially for Cyno. Buffs normal attacks and has a slow Hydro application on her C6, it would be a perfect pair... but her competition was way better for that role and less expensive and, at lest for Cyno, her buff is too short for him. That was before Clorinde release.

I think the nilou team section could use some improvement, candace on deepwood with both nahida and yaoyao on flower of paradise lost tends to result in slightly faster clears for c6 candace

Nice video :3 But one thing. Couldnt she also run Tenacity Set like zhongli for atk buff and and the extra hp increases the normal atk buff even more. like 40k HP converts to 20% and her ult 20% for 40% ?! :)
The 4 piece Tenacity of the Millelith's attack buff isn't consistent on Candace because that buff triggers from elemental skill damage. (So unless you are using a whole bunch of snapshot characters, no.)
Candace's element skill damage cooldown is too slow to have consistent buff uptime, and her C6 is considered burst damage, so also useless for keeping up the Tenacity buff.
Tenacity works for Zhongli because his geo constructs send constant shockwaves.
If you just want to stack crazy amounts of HP, you could do a 2+2 HP artifact set (Varukasha's Glow and Tenacity), but I'd recommend you do the damage calculations to see if it's worth all that farming (or if the farming is better spent on the character that Canadace is supporting).

4pc tenacity is good only on characters whose elemental skills do off field damage

Im almost positive it's coping hard assuming mavuika replaces xiangling in mualani teams.
Im sure she will be usable in some of the mualani teams, but i doubt she will have anywhere near xianglings app for the double hydro variants.

I have C6 Candace and love her design and character so much. But i don't have Arlecchino or Mualani, because i simply don't get along with their gameplay. Gotta try out the Nilou-Team tho :)
Am still hoping to eventually C6 her as one of my favorite 4* (just behind Beidou and around Noelle and YaoYao's level) and overall favorite characters - she hangs out with Dehya and Beidou in my second tier behind Neuvi and Nahida. TT_TT

i play Candance with release in a Cyno or Eula team. And she was not bad but in the end i use my main team for exploration and fight. (Eula, Raiden, Yelan and a healer) After Sumeru i stop playing and with Natlan i play more Genshin again, but i see i have to play only tank chars with elementary reactions. But Dehya feels better on this map now, after the disappointment of her release
Mualani can do big burst damage but she's kinda slow and clunky right now. A Seigwinne-buffed Furina probably does more DPS, it's kinda funny seeing Furina's pets regularly crit for 200k, and she's just the buffer and "sub" DPS who provides "free" damage. And she makes Ayaka does like 2 million damage Bursts without some kind of impratical convoluted setup. Furina is just such a broken character.

The only reason why i haven't built candace is because i want to at least c6 her (only have c3) and my polearm option is very limited. The only 4 star i have is favonius lance (like only 3 of them) while the rest is either not very good or doesn't have good stats.

I do a similar team for my nilou team already but I use c2 yelan for the second hydro slot which works out really nice. I’ll probably build her to 70 for theater and if I ever get c6 might build her.

What Set would you say is good to put on her to just slot her in any of her "best" or "mid-best" teams? I like the char design and I am fine on losing 100% value.. But I also hate changing sets since gearing up characters isnt exactly the easiest/fastest in genshin (to be fair in any gacha).. according to the video so far I guess you would just put Instructor and that would be best for overall use (not 100% optimal) .. but is there another one that can be slapped on her and she would just work in all the teams?
I found a less annoying way to use Petra on Candace , kachina c6 , when you use Candace skill it's considered as a breaking shield so kachina do AOE DMG in same time of Candace hydro DMG with the skill, so you get instant hydro cristal 😊, ok kachina it's a bit less good to buff but it way faster/easy to use Petra on Candace like this.
She is my first c6 thanks to horrible rolls for Xilonen. Feel like i should use her, lol.
I use her on On field Furina mono hydro teams.
