Recently I chose to use some built up wishes for Mualani and had the most insane luck this last week. I first spent 20 wishes and got Mualani, then went for her weapon, got it on the first 10, then did 2 10 pulls on the standard banner, first 10 got a five star weapon, and then the next 10 I got mona. I think it's a sign jello. Thanks for the amazing effort you put into your vids. You can tell you put in the work and effort to make high quality videos here on the platform. You are truly an inspiration! Keep up the good work!
To be fair yes, even if Mavuika is an off field /support dps with similar aplication as xiangling you still need two teams. What is even worse is that IF she is not that xiangling will be used more than her and Bennett as well.
I wonder if she will be like Bennet and Xiangling combined into one unit. That's what we really need to finally break the iron hold of those two on the meta lol
Jello, I watch your channel not because you come out with an immediate video release after a character goes live, but because I know you’re the only creator that will test and document as many team combinations that interest you for a given character. You provide unique content that will still get views from people interested in thorough testing instead of like the 2 team recommendations people throw in as an afterthought in their videos
I agree! I love to use unique teams that aren't necessarily "good" on abyss terms and I like Jellos thoughts on teams that still have good synergy even if not the best team

This video is mega behind other CC's...the lack of access to a proper testing server really hurts. I expect most of my new "ultimate character guide videos" to tank in views because of this. I will slightly adjust my strategy in the future, where my "guide video" will be less detailed and come out day 1 or a bit before, and my ultimate review will possibly be even later, as this video really took a crazy long time. Probably over 30 hours total. A bit hard on me, going to spread it out over a couple more days next time. Even though my ultimate reviews will never do as well as they used to unless they change the testing server back to the way it used to be, I will still always make these extremely detailed guides regardless of how well they do, as they are essentially the whole reason I do this channel. It's kind of weird to probably have the main point of this channel probably never do that well, but that's ok. They are still the foundation regardless of views.
there's also a sense of satisfaction doing something more for 'myself' and the hardcore jello fans, not just for views. So thank you to all those who still watch

Refering to the title, no she can't beat Neuvillette, but she doesn't have to. She does more than enough damage so if you like using her and her playstyle, choose her over neuvillette :)
I really love that you talk about her teams instead of teammates. It is more helpfull to chose already tested team instead of doing all guessing if team is gonna do as I imagined it in my head.
@JelloImpact You talked about how you seemingly missed crits on her burst quite often. In the video you often burst before you started using her skill, maybe that is the issue? The obsidian set only gives you the crit rate bonus after you use up nightsoul point, so after you were in your skill and the bar decreases and lasts for 6s, hence zou should use the burat at the end if im not wrong somewhere. So when you burst in the video, you basically only had the 52cr for the burst
@@15Mahsell the problem is that ideally you would want to use her burst when you can nuke with the buffs she has and with Xianglings pyro, especially in aoe. Using the burst during the skill uptime is just bad for obvious reasons instead.
@@leonardomeloni677 that is true, however, would you rather take the buffs... or crit? ofc having the buffs run out can be an issue, then again after her 3 skill hits you usually have enough time to still squeeze out her burst and tbh atm there arent that many buffs you utilize on her anyway. even if i use Kazuha he is more a pyro applier than a hydro swirler tbh. xianglings burst usually is also around long enough, as you wanna vape all hits anyway.
@@leonardomeloni677 If xilonen is not nerfed to the hells and beyond Mualani will have full buff uptime during her rotation. So using burst after 3-4 bites will be almost always optimal. For now, it will be mildly annoying.

I found your video WAY more useful than other of the guides and it feels so much better knowing someone like you tested everything and you're giving so many options. I've gone through so many videos and couldn't find teams that I liked with their videos, but you gave me options that I could try out with the characters that I have, so I appreciate that a lot. You even suggested a stat range on say EM, that gave me a target to hit as well which was nice, other people just tell you the generic stats but not an amount range, so that made yours also better. Thank you and great video.

Holy, i didn't expect this guide to be that detailed, and i loved it... This is why i allways wach you jello, because you're the only one, how's releasing a TRUE GUIDE, and not just posting a youtube short about her signature her obvious artifact set and 1 or 2 dedicated team (what I mean by that is that you gave us literally all the team available)
It's insane how most of the people with access to the test server never went into details with mualani's targeting problem while you did an amazing job detailing all the issue and talks about how when they add up it can be really frustrating, you've earned yourself a sub!
8:03 Another issue (mainly in overworld) is that the sharky missiles that are supposed to allow her to hit multiple enemies can collide with the ceiling and objects, causing you to not hit multiple enemies while still getting the damage reduction from having multiple enemies marked...
I love all the team discussions because when guides just show a couple examples, it doesn't provide the nuance of how characters play off each other when you're trying to make the optimal teams with what you have, Thank you for the hard work as this much editing and testing is so rough!

I'm always here for the incredibly detailed team testing, which understandably takes a lot of time. I think making a quick&dirty basic guide right away to not fall behind other CCs is completely fine, since it also means you'll have more time to make the detailed ultimate guide afterwards.

The abyssal wolf enemies are nightmares to fight against with mualani. They teleports and moves around a lot and sucks my hp. Mualani needs a healer or shielder because of these enemies.
The guide may be late, but is one of the BEST i've seen. Amazing stuff Jelly, definitely keep this format, doesn't matter if you need more time to do it, take it. The amount of data, information and testing provided is on a whole another level. A delayed complete guide is better than a half-made rushed one. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend doing this on characters that are more fairly easy to build, like "if Itto where to release next patch" sort of speak.
Just commenting to say the team breakdown/impressions is THE reason I come to your guides even though I am fairly knowledgeable about the game already and don't need general advice for characters. Play whatever youtube games of separating out the section to get views or whatever that you need to do, but I appreciate the effort put into these sections and the timestamping.
I like the deep dive, I get a much broader view of the character, which helps me personally a lot. Also as a (almost) f2p, who doesn't own every amazing 5 star, it's really great to see such a huge variety So I prefer that extended/ detailed kinda guide :3

Great breakdown of team comps. I really appreciate this type of detailed discussion. We gather much more infos than other reviewers who just want to compare her numbers with other whaled DPS. Most players don't have all OP DPS or supports, so giving options with details is great and inclusive of all types of players. Thank you
But she hard diffs neuvilette in boss enemies? My lvl 70 mualani with talents 1,6,2 and shimenawas(not even signature set) one phases the pma in abyss(around 20 seconds). Maybe at best a c1 neuvilette maxed out with tome can match it.

I definitely would like a video to see though [if u could one phase PMA with the widsith build] Can ya make one for me? I want to see the rotations and stuff maybe I can achieve even faster runs on my neuvi with tha too. Though don't offset mualani, your neuvilette is probably maxed out with sig artifacts perfectly synergised and max talents (with best possible supports) Meanwhile my mualani did that at lvl 70 half leveled talents, no proper artifact set nor buff, and without a single natlan support (the future is very good for mualani cuz it's almost guaranteed her dmg will go up by a LOT as her passive gives her upto 45% dmg bonus for having three other natlan charas on your team) So in those terms, it's pretty crazy for mualani ngl. (One phased PMA abyss in 18 seconds record for me)

Something I do really enjoy about mualani is that it makes dehya a lot more useful. Since Mualani doesn’t want Bennett, it actually makes dehya a little more useful here than xiangling because dehya works better on furina teams and she doesn’t need her burst to do actually a lot of uptime on off field pyro. Also interruption resistance is a bit nice as well. Dehya, off field dendro, healer, and mualani burn vape has been one of my favorites recently.
I was about 70% sure I was going to pull Mualani (even though I have Neuvilette already, I mostly wanted her to "carve and wave" around) HOWEVER missing her 3 stack shark attack and/or burst (happened to me multiple times during the Imaginarium theater boss) changed my mind... I will not be pulling Mualani. If they fix her missing (with a burst that explicitly states it "can track opponents") I probably will though.
Will say I definitely appreciate this one big video testing mualani with every team imaginable and getting feedback on each one over other guides that still had me confused whether i wanted to pick dehya from the standard picker just for mualani for now over using xiangling.
Got her real quick as f2p. Tried hard to get c1 but was unfortunate. In my opinion her c1 is a must for good dps output. Anyway she is a very good character and adding Kinich to her team will be very nice
I refuse to use the pyro duo so I just used Dehya instead and haven't had an issue :D. Thanks for these great guides always :D. Honestly you and Sevy are the only two I actually like to watch so I always appreciate it :D.

As someone with boomerthumbs who does daily artifacts/commissions on mobile at work, and exploration/ combat at home on keyboard and mouse, I would caution that at least so far, natlan characters feel way way more awkward to use on mobile. It's just a royal pain to swoop around trying to land 3 marks while manually panning the camera. I can't count the times I've missed the normal attack button and just ended her surfing be fat fingerings the E button next to normal attack. And don't get me started on the traversal controls of the green saurian. Inazuma and sumeru it was T for traversal, get to natlan, fooled you, it's E now, enjoy constantly plummeting to your death as muscle memory betrays you.

I 100 percent agree about the problems you mentioned, sometimes it will hit wrong enemy rather than the one you are targeting.
To add more her puffer fish mechanic is a mess and a single miss will be bad for your rotation that leads to lesser damage.

This is why i allways wach you jello, because you're the only one, how's releasing a TRUE GUIDE, and not just posting a youtube short about her signature her obvious artifact set and 1 or 2 dedicated team (what I mean by that is that you gave us literally all the team available)
It's insane how most of the people with access to the test server never went into details with mualani's targeting problem while you did an amazing job detailing all the issue and talks about how when they add up it can be really frustrating, you've earned yourself a sub!
8:03 Another issue (mainly in overworld) is that the sharky missiles that are supposed to allow her to hit multiple enemies can collide with the ceiling and objects, causing you to not hit multiple enemies while still getting the damage reduction from having multiple enemies marked...

Yes, having every single team laid out is soooo helpful. Not annoying at all. I too was confused by the guides that just name random characters despite them not always working with each other well.

I'm always here for the incredibly detailed team testing, which understandably takes a lot of time.
I think making a quick&dirty basic guide right away to not fall behind other CCs is completely fine, since it also means you'll have more time to make the detailed ultimate guide afterwards.

The abyssal wolf enemies are nightmares to fight against with mualani. They teleports and moves around a lot and sucks my hp. Mualani needs a healer or shielder because of these enemies.
Use dehya + yaoyao (baizhu also works) for burn vape

The guide may be late, but is one of the BEST i've seen. Amazing stuff Jelly, definitely keep this format, doesn't matter if you need more time to do it, take it. The amount of data, information and testing provided is on a whole another level.
A delayed complete guide is better than a half-made rushed one. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend doing this on characters that are more fairly easy to build, like "if Itto where to release next patch" sort of speak.
Just commenting to say the team breakdown/impressions is THE reason I come to your guides even though I am fairly knowledgeable about the game already and don't need general advice for characters. Play whatever youtube games of separating out the section to get views or whatever that you need to do, but I appreciate the effort put into these sections and the timestamping.

I like the deep dive, I get a much broader view of the character, which helps me personally a lot. Also as a (almost) f2p, who doesn't own every amazing 5 star, it's really great to see such a huge variety

Great breakdown of team comps. I really appreciate this type of detailed discussion. We gather much more infos than other reviewers who just want to compare her numbers with other whaled DPS. Most players don't have all OP DPS or supports, so giving options with details is great and inclusive of all types of players. Thank you

Too strong indeed, He can deal a bunch of damage against multiple enemies, a lot of HP, and can heal.
But she hard diffs neuvilette in boss enemies? My lvl 70 mualani with talents 1,6,2 and shimenawas(not even signature set) one phases the pma in abyss(around 20 seconds). Maybe at best a c1 neuvilette maxed out with tome can match it.

Though don't offset mualani, your neuvilette is probably maxed out with sig artifacts perfectly synergised and max talents (with best possible supports)
Meanwhile my mualani did that at lvl 70 half leveled talents, no proper artifact set nor buff, and without a single natlan support (the future is very good for mualani cuz it's almost guaranteed her dmg will go up by a LOT as her passive gives her upto 45% dmg bonus for having three other natlan charas on your team)
So in those terms, it's pretty crazy for mualani ngl. (One phased PMA abyss in 18 seconds record for me)

I like when you go through each individual team and explain their mechanics personally.
Something I do really enjoy about mualani is that it makes dehya a lot more useful. Since Mualani doesn’t want Bennett, it actually makes dehya a little more useful here than xiangling because dehya works better on furina teams and she doesn’t need her burst to do actually a lot of uptime on off field pyro. Also interruption resistance is a bit nice as well. Dehya, off field dendro, healer, and mualani burn vape has been one of my favorites recently.
I was about 70% sure I was going to pull Mualani (even though I have Neuvilette already, I mostly wanted her to "carve and wave" around)
HOWEVER missing her 3 stack shark attack and/or burst (happened to me multiple times during the Imaginarium theater boss) changed my mind...
I will not be pulling Mualani.
If they fix her missing (with a burst that explicitly states it "can track opponents") I probably will though.

Will say I definitely appreciate this one big video testing mualani with every team imaginable and getting feedback on each one over other guides that still had me confused whether i wanted to pick dehya from the standard picker just for mualani for now over using xiangling.

Got her real quick as f2p. Tried hard to get c1 but was unfortunate. In my opinion her c1 is a must for good dps output. Anyway she is a very good character and adding Kinich to her team will be very nice

Burst missing is a somewhat common problem, it also exlpodes on contact with walls occasionally. 😀👍
As someone with boomerthumbs who does daily artifacts/commissions on mobile at work, and exploration/ combat at home on keyboard and mouse, I would caution that at least so far, natlan characters feel way way more awkward to use on mobile. It's just a royal pain to swoop around trying to land 3 marks while manually panning the camera. I can't count the times I've missed the normal attack button and just ended her surfing be fat fingerings the E button next to normal attack. And don't get me started on the traversal controls of the green saurian. Inazuma and sumeru it was T for traversal, get to natlan, fooled you, it's E now, enjoy constantly plummeting to your death as muscle memory betrays you.
