just built the kit version, next to no documentation available, but figured it out using the pictures of the bnf version. default betaflight pids are no good. Will start tuning now.
I just found this manual in the RTF version www.helipal.com/download/pdf/helipal-butterfly-2-betaflight-v1-2.pdf , the Taranis profile was useful for the kit version, now just waiting on a betaflight profile or the pids.
Hi, Can you kinly post your filter settins? After assemly and a little prop balance - after few second of flight - drone rolls few degrees right and stars to drift away. I think the reason is that an accelerometer overloaded by vibrations. This behaviour is in horizon and angle modes. Beause of controller has no onboard flash memory - I cant activate blackbox to record onboard data and tune sowfware filters. Please help. As most butterfly setups are the same, I suppose all drones will have similar resonance freq. and vibrations. So your filter settings may suit my setup.
It's very cool it's a neat idea but for two hundred bucks it's a lot of money to be honest for drone like this but it is cool that you can bump into something and it you know bounces back however I'm wondering what is the maximum flight time and what is the maximum flight range and what is the camera on it as well I mean for maybe 50 it would definitely be worth it but for 200 yeah it just depends on a bunch of those features you know I like the battery time and the altitude hold and height and does it have any of those features if all it does basically it says a crash feature than well it's definitely not worth it but it depends on the features it has just like more info if you could send me it please
Just brought one of these. Arrived to me busted ass peace of crap that won't flash on betaflight. It connects just fine for configuration But it won't recognise my transmitter and everytime you try to save and reboot for any changes it disconnects from betaflight. When you try and flash it just says Failed to open serial port. Basically I've been sent a flight controller that won't connect to betaflight property. My computer also tells me that the device I've connected is faulty sometimes when I plug it in to the USB port.... I've tried 5 different USB leads and nothing. Ps. My kingkong 90gt has no issues in this area. Also I have reinstalled all the drivers for betaflight to be sure. Oh and to top it all off as soon as I plug any battery into it the buzzer goes crazy and you can't shut it up. So basically I have a quad sits on the bench and screams at me. Can't seam to contact helipal to get costumer care. Don't suppose you can help?
Found solution. Download impulseRC driver fixer tool. Plug ya quad in run the program ....done. fixed and flashed. 👍 Now to figure out way I can't get my transmitter to register in bettaflight. All bound up and nothing. Spent 5hrs on this so far. I'll take my win with the fix and live to fight another day. I'm goin to bed😥
For butterfly 2, try this set p_pitch = 50 set i_pitch = 50 set d_pitch = 25 set p_roll = 40 set i_roll = 40 set d_roll = 20 set p_yaw = 70 set i_yaw = 45 set d_yaw = 20 save
Cheers, didn't have much luck, it still wobbles like crazy. Here's my betaflight backup: drive.google.com/open?id=0B4-u0fzx3-PEdlF5TXlrQldkYmc and here's some images: goo.gl/photos/LRjXNnB5hiVo7sKx8 I'll add some videos when my battery is recharged.
All good Serg, Helipal sent me their BetaFlight config and that made it flyable for the 90 seconds the 2s batteries hold for. Have some 3s in the mail.
Now this one I like how it looks

Is there a build video? Or manual for your KIT version?
Love it
that's good for beginner, like me. haha
nice
whats your music choice?
Way to expensive
can you post your pids?
For butterfly 2, try this
set p_pitch = 50
set i_pitch = 50
set d_pitch = 25
set p_roll = 40
set i_roll = 40
set d_roll = 20
set p_yaw = 70
set i_yaw = 45
set d_yaw = 20
save

I'll add some videos when my battery is recharged.
Are you fliying 2s or 3s?
Provided PIDs helped me at 3s. I see no wobbling at all.
On 2s there will be other pids.
All good Serg, Helipal sent me their BetaFlight config and that made it flyable for the 90 seconds the 2s batteries hold for. Have some 3s in the mail.
