What really surprised was that no one even cared or wondered for a moment about what happened to Berdly. The queen forgot about him like the rest of her minions. Susie didn't care because she found him annoying. Noelle was in disbelief and thought he was only asleep. And then Ralsei... Ralsei knew something was up but he chose to stay quiet and move on. If we somehow go to school in chapter 3 then I think Berdly's absence will start to have effects on everyone in the story.
I think Berdly's absence will go unnoticed right until the ch5, since ch3 is the day of the festival and ch4 is probably Sunday. We'll probably don't get to see Noelle to that date either; I expect her to be locked in her house because of her mom's temper and, you know, the effects of that route.

Deltarune's Genocide scares me way more than Undertale. You're manipulating a close friend, someone who you- well no- who KRIS knew and loved. You're forcing Noelle to kill all these defenseless monsters and giving her orders like an animal. You force her to kill(?) Berdly and THEN, she knows. She knows Kris isn't himself anymore. Your actions may not have an impact quite yet, but they'll definitely impact the characters in the worst way possible. Manipulation. THAT'S what scares me most.
And because of how Deltarune is split up into chapters, the impact you'll have had on Noelle will absolutely spiral down until .. well, we don't know yet.
The part that intrigues me the most is the fact that kris apparently just has a thousand yard stare on their face after reuniting with ralsei and susie. Most speculate he's gonna be evil/is related to the Knight but what if he's trying to stop what Kris does in this timeline? He might end up being the hero!
He MIGHT be bad but what if like many bad people in real life he is doing the manipulation for a good reason? What if Gaster just wants to see someone, maybe Sans for example, and is trying to get out of that DAMN bunker.
I can't decide which Genocide had bigger impact on me. In Undertale you literally kill off all those people that you most likely befriended on previous routes, and considering how much longer the game is compared to one Chapter, it had a bit of bigger impact. Also, the dialogue with Flowey at the end where he realizes he is in danger is so powerful imo, it gave me chills every time I seen it. Add to it the powerful silence of dead cities and "but nobody came" theme. But here you literally manipulate innocent friend into doing these horrible things and messing with her head. The way she makes up excuses that it's a good thing etc, and then not recognizing her childhood friend and even killing him, which seemed to kill Beardly not only in Dark World... But that hospital scene at the end is also absolutely terrifying. Bursting Noelle's bubble and making her realize everything was real and what she has done was real and that the manipulator that made her do all that is so close to her... The only reason I struggle to decide which Genocide had more impact is probably the fact we spend more time with Undertale's characters. But that's why I can't wait for new Deltarune chapters. Also that Realization moment and theme just sent chills down my spine
Want to be even more terrified? When noelle realizes you are weird in the hospital, you can still move, if you move towards noelle, she will get scared and will tell you to back off.
There's another eerie audio file named W.ogg. Now there's one called D.ogg… as if to spell out "W.D." - I wonder if there'll be G.ogg, A.ogg, S.ogg, T.ogg, E.ogg, and R.ogg in future chapters?
@@atroxxious WAIT A MINUTE- the vs berdly bgm would probably end when the fight ends, meaning the the heartbeat in the track stops when berdly's heart stops what the-
You know, Flashback actually fits the scene of you hearing Noelle talking to herself because of how You, the player, has corrupted her in ways she could not prevent. It actually gives it a child’s play feel which in all honesty is very fitting since your literally toying and using her to get around the fact that Kris themselves can’t kill anything because the enemy would just run away but by the player using Noelle you get to bypass that. But what makes it more terrifying is that she thinks it’s a dream but if you equip her watch in the dark world she’ll mention on how in the world do you have her watch on you, giving her the realization that she was not dreaming.
I really hope we get further explorations of the 2:21 and 4:58 themes in the coming episodes, especially the latter. They feel like intros to bigger songs that we just don't get to hear yet. (Edit: Seems like my timestamps were thrown off! Don't get me wrong though, I'd like more of the last song too!)
My guess, is this version of Vs. Berdley, which I call “Proceed”, plus the leitmotif of THE WORLD REVOLVING are probably going to be The Knight’s theme, plus the Main Theme of Deltarune
Call me crazy but I hear Gaster's motif in both of of them. It's more clear in the 2nd one, but it's definitely there in both. It's an unmistakable 4 notes repeated twice, and then shifted down and repeated 2 more times.
2:21 is just the beat of the intro to berdly's normal fight theme (smart race) slowed, pitched down, and looped, so it technically already is the beginning to a bigger song 6:30 seems to be a cross between noelle's theme (lost girl) and gaster's theme EDIT: i just realized you said were talking about the 3rd track here and not the 4th, oops 4:58 is just a really short loop so i cant really speak for what song it could be a full part of, im guessing itll just stay a short loop like some of the tracks in undertale were
It always fascinates me how Toby can make such an extremely wretched and creepy plot for genocide route. And deltarune became something even more darker than undertale ever was, because you're manipulating characters to do what you want. And it makes me feel even worse to start genocide and see how Noelle will become a murderer, god.
2:21 Picture this: You're in a dark room, sitting in front of a table. In front of you there's the person you love the most tied up to a chair. There's a gun and a radio on the table. The radio says, with an ominous voice: "kill them."
Oh thank God, I've been looking everywhere for that sick beat that plays before the fight with Berdly. It slaps _way_ too hard for a 6 second loop. Does it have an official filename?
@@technomorph6798 That sounds more like the filename for the actual fight with Berdly itself. I'm talking about the one that's called "Noelle's Realization" here.
@@dr.happyfuntimes1214 and omega flowy in undertale kinda looked like a cryiak creation. Perhaps this song will get more versions as you go down the genocide route in future chapters. maybe even culminating in an omega flowy type fight? :o
the drum and base of Noelle's Realization is really amazing at setting the tone of what you're about to do. engeniously giving seeds of doubt on whether the player really wants to keep going the way theyre headed
I really like the idea of freezing the enemies, because before we get to the part where snowgrave run starts, the enemies run away from us, after we get them to 0 hp, because they don't want to be killed, but when we freeze them. We just kill them, of course that's obvious. So we have a chance to kill everyone using our childhood friend which is getting easily manipulated. And i also like how in Undertale and Deltarune during the genocide run, the npcs are just gone like somebody told them a murderer who kills everyone in his path is coming. That's kinda creepy. Edit : Thanks for spending your time reading this kinda medium size comment :) Or if you don't like this. Sorry :(
Noelle's realization sounds like she's trying to fight off the insanity that Kris thrusted upon her and from killing everything. While flashback sounds like she's completely given into the insanity and is having a flashback of when she was younger, making her want to off herself so she doesn't feel the pain anymore. Sorry for being dark, the music sounds dark and it's the hidden feelings I got while playing snowgrave route
The game: "your choices don't matter, you get the same ending." Kris: "fine, I'll just force someone else to carve a new path for me." You / the player: "aight imma head out"
Actually it’s implied that it’s _you_ as the player who’s responsible for all this as Kris is actually distressed at the actions you’re making them do, so it’s actually the other way around.
The whole snowgrave route makes sense now, since you couldn't do a genocide route back in chapter 1 in the first place, you can have someone else do it for you instead, in this case a certain hapless clueless deer? ... Toby's a genius
Noelle's realization sounds like a slowed down version of a future boss battle theme... Similar to that other song slowed down used in the UT genocide route
NO, I GET IT! IT’S YOU AND THAT [Hochi mama]. YOU TWO HAVE BEEN MAKING [hyperlink blocked]. NO, I GET IT! IT’S YOU AND THAT [Hochi mama]. YOU TWO HAVE BEEN MAKING [LOVE]. NO, I GET IT! IT’S YOU AND THAT [Hochi mama]. YOU TWO HAVE BEEN MAKING [EXP]. Theory going around that Spamton’s hyperlink blocked is actually just EXP and LOVE (with their meanings form Undertale). And it eerily fits with his lines..
@@ArcticaQuantum But is it Heaven? Spamton can easily say heaven if he wanted too. Evident in in his snowgrave fight and secret fight in pacifist. I'm assuming he calls the player the angel as it fits more in line with Ralsei's legend with the angel bringing destruction or something.
Ok so I have this theory: In the beginning of Deltarune, they say that “in this world, your choices don’t matter”. What if you, the player, is Chara, like you are in Undertale. And the reason why there was an alternative route even if one’s choices don’t matter, is because you, Chara, isn’t from this world, but from Undertale where your choices DOES matter
The route in my explanation : murder a other class mates friend by manipulating them to use an snow based attack which ends up eternally freezing and killing berdly. The effects of this route is that you actually KILL someone with the power of manipulating others. It just shows that if we get a full genocide route for the end of delta rune. It could end like how undertale did, no such friends mostly. Probably would murder EVERYONE in the town and thus kris is the last one left. Once this news is spreaded throughout the world other monsters and humans alike will be concerned, kris's power to create fountains have done such things that we have discovered throughout chapter 2. Then after the end of every genocide route in every chapter, who knows? We might possibly end earth itself and everyone with us. I predict that at the genocide end of deltarune we will have killed not only the town we are in but also enter the locked and shut door that won't budge open. But then we would see nothing inside other then the guilt of doing the entire route in genocide never making any type of friends along the way. Abandoning everyone and proceeding. Toby really surprised me in snow grave. I am excited to see the entity "Kris" murder everyone within the dark worlds including ralsei.
Kris isn't the one who's forcing Noelle to kill all these monsters it's YOU and if you realize when your at the last fight in this route with spamton it says Kris called for their friends when you choose the Noelle option it's says "You whispered Noelle's name" that means it's you who's doing this route not Kris and spamton knows and tries to act if it was Kris
I remember first hearing about the genocide route in Undertale and it not really bothering me, like yeah...seen this in a million different RPGs before it's spooky but it doesn't bother me but this... Snowgrave actually made me feel a bit sick inside when I first heard of it, it's much more sinister than genocide since you're not just killing monsters but making someone else do it

He MIGHT be bad but what if like many bad people in real life he is doing the manipulation for a good reason? What if Gaster just wants to see someone, maybe Sans for example, and is trying to get out of that DAMN bunker.
@@sptflcrw8583 no, you are the one controlling Kris
THE NEW AGE OF [slowed and reverb] HAS ARRIVED!
the second vs berdly started playing i was suddenly filled with this overwhelming feeling of dread. jesus fucking christ.
We agree.
flashback sounds fucking unsettling, specially when it stops and you hear Noelle ask kris why he has her watch
The track here called "Noelle's Realization" is actually just called "D" in the files. Determination, perhaps?
d.ogg
I think its called d because d.ogg is literally just dog. Like the annoying dogg.
Or December
There's another eerie audio file named W.ogg. Now there's one called D.ogg… as if to spell out "W.D." - I wonder if there'll be G.ogg, A.ogg, S.ogg, T.ogg, E.ogg, and R.ogg in future chapters?

almost everysong has that leit-motif but the flashback song's is more obvious you can hear it without actually searching for it
yeah, it does, doesn't it?
i wonder wtf it means
like is gaster evil???
1 2 3 2 is something that is commonly used in music. Not everything has to be a reference to Gaster
@@mew3929 true
And you can also move during that cutscene, which she reasonably reacts to by screaming not to come closer
Vs Berdly sounds like some music on The Walking Dead when.
Noelles Realization is somehow super creepy and a banger at the same time!
Noelle's realization reminds me of Your Best Nightmare, during fight with Omega Flowey
In the context of that situation,it's kinda fitting
I really hope we get further explorations of the 2:21 and 4:58 themes in the coming episodes, especially the latter. They feel like intros to bigger songs that we just don't get to hear yet.
(Edit: Seems like my timestamps were thrown off! Don't get me wrong though, I'd like more of the last song too!)
We will get a new megalovania
My guess, is this version of Vs. Berdley, which I call “Proceed”, plus the leitmotif of THE WORLD REVOLVING are probably going to be The Knight’s theme, plus the Main Theme of Deltarune
Call me crazy but I hear Gaster's motif in both of of them. It's more clear in the 2nd one, but it's definitely there in both. It's an unmistakable 4 notes repeated twice, and then shifted down and repeated 2 more times.
@@2011supergamer that last one had a really obvious Gaster motif, I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice.
2:21 is just the beat of the intro to berdly's normal fight theme (smart race) slowed, pitched down, and looped, so it technically already is the beginning to a bigger song
6:30 seems to be a cross between noelle's theme (lost girl) and gaster's theme
EDIT: i just realized you said were talking about the 3rd track here and not the 4th, oops
4:58 is just a really short loop so i cant really speak for what song it could be a full part of, im guessing itll just stay a short loop like some of the tracks in undertale were
It always fascinates me how Toby can make such an extremely wretched and creepy plot for genocide route. And deltarune became something even more darker than undertale ever was, because you're manipulating characters to do what you want. And it makes me feel even worse to start genocide and see how Noelle will become a murderer, god.
NOELLES REALIZATION GOES HARD THO
Flashback sounds like Lavender Town
Yes, I think the same.
It's Gaster's theme but yes they both do sound like Lavender Town.
That's because it uses "Gaster's theme" as a motif, which is a pretty universal "spooky" motif also used in Lavender town.
YES, time for lavender town syndrome

Flasback is so creepy/unsettling and I love it
2:21
Picture this:
You're in a dark room, sitting in front of a table. In front of you there's the person you love the most tied up to a chair. There's a gun and a radio on the table. The radio says, with an ominous voice: "kill them."
dont forget that youre also in the worst state you have been your entire life and shoot them out of frustration

Oh thank God, I've been looking everywhere for that sick beat that plays before the fight with Berdly. It slaps _way_ too hard for a 6 second loop. Does it have an official filename?
From what I can tell. The song is just called "d" in the game files.
berdly_battle_heartbeat_true.ogg
@@technomorph6798 That sounds more like the filename for the actual fight with Berdly itself. I'm talking about the one that's called "Noelle's Realization" here.

“It’s just a bad dream”
And so Berdly never woke up ever again.

That's just "a deal gone wrong."
That is the theme that would play before fighting Spamton.
So i have come to learn
@@thealchemistking4063 yer welcome.
@@worldssmallestdestron7819 ah yes, thanks google for telling me it means "place for welcome"
Ahh, i finally found that soundtrack (Flashback) a mix between "the holy" and "gaster's theme".
Ok but a full version of Noelle's realisation needs to be a thing
the drum and base of Noelle's Realization is really amazing at setting the tone of what you're about to do. engeniously giving seeds of doubt on whether the player really wants to keep going the way theyre headed
I know it is from a different game, but Flashback gives me strong Lavender Town vibes.
Edit : Thanks for spending your time reading this kinda medium size comment :)
Or if you don't like this.
Sorry :(
You made Berdly not hold back, he's even harder on the Snowgrave Route.
"Flashback" sounds like a ddlc song
Are your hands truly clean, when you paint some one else's red?
Ohmygod flashback is freaking horrifying
Fun Fact: in the files, the Bearldy Genocide Theme has the word “HeartBeat” on it, and the whole song sounds like a heartbeat.
That last track really emphasizes
denial, even when the truth stares you in the face.
Welcome to the city is really chill, like I like it but the rest just fills me with genuine dread
The flashback theme is ( i think) the theme who it hurts the more. I can't explain why but it feel weird.
2:21 Most savage theme in game
The game: "your choices don't matter, you get the same ending."
Kris: "fine, I'll just force someone else to carve a new path for me."
You / the player: "aight imma head out"
Actually it’s implied that it’s _you_ as the player who’s responsible for all this as Kris is actually distressed at the actions you’re making them do, so it’s actually the other way around.
The route where Kris is being forced to force Noelle to do bad things by player. Sad and also very bad.
Bruh who put the fresh chicken nuggets in the freezer?!
Me. I just don't want it to get bad or anything
Me-I mean Noelle
I'm very glad to find these tracks here, they're so impactful 👍

At the end of your life if you had an end credits song "flashback" would be it.
"vs Berdly" gives me "Burn IN Despair!" vibes but less concentrated.
I actually like this soundtrack
The whole snowgrave route makes sense now, since you couldn't do a genocide route back in chapter 1 in the first place, you can have someone else do it for you instead, in this case a certain hapless clueless deer? ... Toby's a genius
coincidentally the video is 9 minutes and 11 seconds long and also is genocide (2001 joke)
Noelle's realization sounds like a slowed down version of a future boss battle theme... Similar to that other song slowed down used in the UT genocide route
I don't have it in me to do the genocide route

NO, I GET IT! IT’S YOU AND THAT [Hochi mama]. YOU TWO HAVE BEEN MAKING [EXP].
Theory going around that Spamton’s hyperlink blocked is actually just EXP and LOVE (with their meanings form Undertale). And it eerily fits with his lines..
hyperlink blocked is actually [HEAVEN]. spamton even calls you angels.
I personally LOVE to think its [Chaos]
You two have been making choices
Ok so I have this theory:
In the beginning of Deltarune, they say that “in this world, your choices don’t matter”. What if you, the player, is Chara, like you are in Undertale. And the reason why there was an alternative route even if one’s choices don’t matter, is because you, Chara, isn’t from this world, but from Undertale where your choices DOES matter
Toby, you did it again
What's really heartbreaking is the fact Kris is being forced to manipulate Noelle by the player's influence.
I was looking for these, thanks again
I think the Weird route (if you did it in chapter 2) will play a heavy role in the other chapters. What will Noelle become?
I am excited to see the entity "Kris" murder everyone within the dark worlds including ralsei.
vs Berdly track sounds like something you hear in mortal kombat before you start to finish someone
"If you had to define rough chilhoods with a song, which will you choose?"
-6:30.
Your choices don't matter....
....but hers do.
Good know otherworldly me
I remember first hearing about the genocide route in Undertale and it not really bothering me, like yeah...seen this in a million different RPGs before it's spooky but it doesn't bother me but this...
Snowgrave actually made me feel a bit sick inside when I first heard of it, it's much more sinister than genocide since you're not just killing monsters but making someone else do it
Here because I will never hear these while playing myself.
