    I grew up in the UK playing Arcade games in the 90s with Sticks similar to this, I’ve tried a few JPN sticks over the years with square gates and they just don’t feel the same as what i grew up with, just can’t get used to the movement of the stick being in a square and having a ball top, I think something like this with it’s round movement would be a closer match to what I’m looking for

    I have had the stick for awhile and the cable was definitely an issue and like you said it had some wear and tear so I had to switch out the cable and got a braided one so it was a lot more sturdy, but I agree with you I got this stick for tekken not for any other game but I do like 2d games so I try to make it work but I might need to a Japanese based stick or a mix box, also what are your thoughts on the pricing for universal sticks right now? I'm glad I have an Omni, but I'm glad I bought it second hand. It's shortcomings would be way more glaring if I paid full price, no detachable cable (my cable sleeve is already split in two), slippery feet and an uneven base, some of the screws for the plexi were near impossible to get out...

    Justin Wong uses the white gold version of this with a Japanese lever, or at least visually with a round ball top. Not exactly sure if it is true Japanese. He says it's heavy enough that it never slides out of his lap and he uses it for basically all of his gameplay and streaming nowadays. I know Core-A-Gaming stuck half of a mouse pad underneath his for even more stability.

I also want to add a carrying strap, because I don't like carrying it like a baby. Just need to find a good handle. Also, since the stick is so heavy, the grip isn't such a big deal to me. Fixing that is really cheap and easy though. Just need some felt and glue.

    Cool little vid. Im a fan of the Omni series. I think everyone will agree that Etokki needs to start installing a neutrik type usb port on it. In this day and age we are past that. Plus im not a fan of cable doors. Just another weak point on the stick to break. Think of it flashing like in Karnovs Revenge after its taken alittle of a beating.
    Etokki sells anti slip tape for the Omni on their site, but for the price point it should be included in the box for the user to decide if they want to use it or not.
    One big positive about this case that you didnt mention at all is the stick mounting surface. The Omni allows pretty much all Japanese/Korean lever to mount up in it. The important thing being at the correct height. Too many sticks on the market these days may have JLF mount height correct but ls32 will be correct. Or they may all be alittle short. Take a look at the Nrap.
    Either way cool vid. You should check out Retro Arcade Stick Collective on FB if you havent.

And by the way, Korean levers can work on 2D fighters as well. Look up a RUclipsr named VesperArcade. In one of Vesper's videos, he has a Korean lever installed in his Hori Fighting Edge arcade stick and he tested out the lever on Ultra Street Fighter 4 and the Street Fighter EX series.

    I've been using this very stick for about 6 months now. It's good but it has some downsides. Many people think this is the stick to get if you play tekken, but I disagree nowadays. I wouldn't buy it again, but not because it's bad. No, this stick is fantastic, but I don't think it's worth the $300 I paid to get it to me. In hindsight I would much rather get a hori rap N, drill open the hole and buy a crown 309 helpme. Much cheaper overall and just as good for tekken as this. Hell, even a 309MJ which you can put in without drilling the hole, is fantastic and will satisfy most of your k-lever needs. But now that I have it, I will probably use this stick forever. Every single part is an arcade part and can be swapped out without a problem. Once the PS5 comes out, I will get a brook PS5 board and put it in there. The taeyoung is fantastic but the crown 309 series does something for me that I just prefer over it. It's a bit tighter and I prefer that. So I got rid of my taeyoung for now and use it with the helpme lever.
    Overall this is a stick you should get if money isn't an issue and you just want to use one stick Indefinitely. There is no small parts such as ps4 buttons or whatever that you can't replace once they break (and they will break eventually), so this stick is really build for eternity.

    • @Jayd_10
      @Jayd_10 5 лет назад

      At the end or the day is a matter of personal preference. I've being using this stick for 9 months in tekken and i completely love it. The taeyoung is the best stick i've ever used. Recently i tryed a 309MJ on my hori rap N and didn't like it as much as i do like the taeyoung. The throw distance is quite short compared with taeyoung, the overall feeling is a bit different but the throw distance is to me the biggest difference. May be because i got used to the tae, but i would never change it for a 309, though the 309 is also a great stick. I also agree with the video that the usb is cheap, mine started to worn out after 8 months.

    A Victrix is better in my opinion than this stick because of the ergonomics of the Victrix. This Ettoki has just a genetic square body. I'll take the body of a Victrix any day over this stick.
