I don't know how this one slid by me. Great tips and as always a fun adventure. Winter fishing is a thing of the past for me. I freeze to easy anymore.
good video I have a question I was trying to ask a question on your live the other night but I don't know if you saw it or not i want to learn how to flip and pitch but I fish from the bank what advice can you give me
Sorry I missed your comment buddy. Ask it again next time. I would use a 1/4 oz weight when flipping off the bank. Be very stealthy to get in range of any wood or docks. Just use a nice soft pitch. The less splash the better.
I got into BFS specifically to fish mini max chatterbaits. Those are my GO TO slow bite bait when I'm really hoping they are still on a moving bite. Also Phoenix makes a 1/4 bladed bait I'm really fond of, you should give them a shot.
Can’t disagree with the mini max being a go getter. The couple times I’ve used it in tournaments in the back of the boat I’ve caught keepers. Nothing giant but you know how it is from the back. Used it when the boater is moving fast and hugging the bluff.
Great vid bro! Just out of curiosity, how did come by purchasing a Jewel rod? I've never even heard of them. I'm a rod&reel junkie (I have WAY too many) but also kind of a brand loyalist. I'm a Dobyns kinda guy...haha....just wondered if u fished with a boater that recommended Jewel rods or how you got turned on to them. I did just do something I seldom do and ordered off brand to pick up one of the new Kistler Chromium rods (3 ounces) It's arriving today so I'm pretty excited about checking it out.
Thanks Dave. I fished with a guide at Bull Shoals. He had a bunch of Jewel Virtus rods and I was able to fish with several of them. They are sweet. American made too which is rare.
Nice video.
Thanks Don.
Nice bunch of fish Gabe Thanks for the video
Thanks John n you are welcome!
Cool to see my backyard lake!
You live on a great lake.
@@TheTinHorseMonty I just need to fish again!
Good job of catching on a cold, windy day. You always find fish and catch them on one or more baits. Thanks for your info on cold-weather fishing.
Thanks buddy. Your welcome. I get bored catching them on one bait and try to mix it up.
Great show Gabe 👍👍🎣🎣
Thanks Darius.
Just ordered two mini max’s four days ago, haven’t caught a chatterbait fish yet, hoping this changes my luck
Good luck. I’ll give you one tip. Fish a chatterbait as slow as you can. Good luck. Let me know if you catch a fish on one.
@@TheTinHorseMonty I definitely will 🤞👍
You hit on a good pattern with that Mini Max and the Spinnerbait, I'll call them 'The Flash Mob', haha.
Ya. I got lucky and picked a good day to test it. I had all intentions of catching them on a frog but they wouldn’t have it.

Fortunately I'm still able to get out there. Dressing in layers is key.
I think we are in the same part of the country based on the lakes you usually fish. What lake is this?
This lake is in Southern Illinois. I call it Lake X.
👍
🤘
I hate to share it but that exact combo was my #1 bait for the year, The apex underspin from Cumberland pro with the kietech swing impact.
It’s a killer bait. I have an underspin video coming out next week.
@@TheTinHorseMonty I thought we agreed to start keeping that bait on the down low 😂😂😂

@@TheTinHorseMonty thank you sir
Great catches and video as always! Someone here needs chatterbait practice, yet to catch a mini max fish since they released.. 👀😅
Thanks buddy. I think those spoon fish would eat a Mini Max.
Don't mess with a man's spoon fish 😂
I told you. I went to a pond last night after work and caught one over 5!
I know 😁. It works.
Love these videos, man.
Thanks Bean.

Thanks Tim. I’ll give them a look. I’m digging the Mini Max.
Another great video. Going to have and watch it again.. what was water temp and date. Keep them coming
Thanks Dennis. I think it was high 50’s. It was the day before we got snow. Less than 2 weeks ago.

Good tip Nick. It will be in the rotation next year!

Good vid , wind blowing in on a bank always helps. How low is the lake getting? Last time we were there trailer we’re falling off the end of the ramp.
What Lake is it?
Thanks. Ya it’s still low.
I love the minimax. What was the water temperature this day? Great video man.
Me too. Cool bait. I think It was hi 50’s
