This video is the perfect example on the reason why I love Deadendhiphop, you can feel how passionate you are when talking about this stuff, this shit is amazing!
Honestly coldest diss line ever was "I know its hard for you to sleep knowin you killed your home boy, you left his son to be a bastard wont even raise your own boy"- Gucci mane. Obviously, its only good if you know Jeezy sent 5 of his homeboys to rob Gucci and Gucci shot at them and killed one.
I feel like we have to mention this in just about every video but, these are edited. The actual conversation itself was not only 22 minutes. It was probably closer to an hour if not longer than an hour. We did mention Roxanne Shante, we did mention Em, we did mention Dre Day, we did mention Canibus. They just didn't make the video.
Sahar Ahmad ok PAC-ologist listen to pac's chorus he says "let's be friends , there's no need to front " this album came out after he died. U think PAC tittled his songs before he died ? that's what they choose the name to be after he died as well the album name. My point was we're "Ether " chorus came from.
doomfan12345 Oh yeah I know all of that! I just mean like, I miss this exciting and fun convos not to say I like...OMFG HATE THEM NOW AHHHH!!! But it was always fun seeing these great convos and older reviews besides some that still feel that way nowadays. I was meaning to ask this for a while but I've always wondered if they'd revisit old topics that might have changed like rappers that can become legends/etc
I don't think ANYTHING will EVER beat DJ Quik's Dollaz + Sense against MC Eiht. "Giving yo set a bad name with yo mispelled name, E-I-H-T, Now should I continue? Yeah, you left out the 'G' cuz the 'G' ain't in you!" That shit had to STING! Nothing beats that in my eyes.
The DEHH crew has never been more excited and enthusiastic in a video than they are here. Even Beezy who usually don't say much out-Myke C-Town'ed Myke C-Town during the first 10 minutes! Hahaha!
Hell yea! Much appreciated brah. I like how you guys articulate y'all arguments, but it's not all criticky. It's like watching my big brothers argue. Keep It Up!
Yes the old intro is back. No offense to the new one but when I saw the old intro again it felt nostalgic for some reason. Also this was a great webisode. Might be the best of the year so far. Y'all really got into it.
Dollaz+sense tho... Quik was just so brutal. "You left out the G cause the G ain't in you" is one of the most clever diss lines ever. And the fact that he performed that track live right in front of MC Eiht just cements this as one of the best diss tracks ever.
300 bars is an underrated diss track man "I forgot my cheese steak/thats what i told the cops so they wouldn't get the dogs start searchin for the glock/and I can't forget, B.I.G got murdered by the cops/even I was ready to die when I heard that he got shot/whats beef? beef is when I merk you on the spot

"My child I watched you grow up to be famous and now I smile like a proud dad watching his only son that made it" how can anyone say that battle was a tie?
As much as I love Mariah Carey, "The Warning" by Eminem is pretty good. My only problem with Em is that he's always targeting nonthreatening targets like Ja Rule or Christina Aguilera.
Ja Rule was more collateral damage than anything else at the time. Benzino and Shady were beefing because Benzino called Eminem the 2003 Vanilla Ice and Em snapped. Pretty much around the same time Ja released an album that took shots at G-Unit, Shady Records and Aftermath. So Em took a shot at Ja because 50 Cent had beef with him.
+kats938 That's because Em doesn't do the targetting. He's not one to diss someone out of nowhere. He wasn't the type to start shit, but he will finish it. All his diss tracks are to people that talked shit about him in some sort of way. It's not like legit rappers were calling out Em, besides Canibus.
Nas - Either diss should've given 2Pac credit on Either since he sampled Pacs voice in the opening saying '' FUCK JAYZ" . A lot of people never caught on to that coming from 2Pac rappin.. "Fuck JayZ , He's broke and I smoke Daily" - Let's Be Friends

It's not cowardly because most of the time he refrains from beefing with people, he didn't start the beefs but he ended 'em, so Benzino and Ja Rule went at Em and he fought back, that doesn't make him a coward does it? Also he didn't just go at people who weren't on his level, he has beefed and still kinda is beefing with canibus, which is on the same skill level as an MC. Not to mention all the famous people he's has beef with like Mariah Carey, Geoge Bush etc
I'm on his dick when you have the Illmatic album cover as your profile picture, alright. Plus, I'm not too sure what you meant by that last sentence, but I still don't see how Eminem is a coward, and I feel like his diss tracks, any of them really, he does have a lot, deserved a mention throughtout the video
Legit all you can say is "get off his dick" instead of making a point as to why the tracks weren't mentioned. Sure, he went at people he knew he could destroy, but they actually went at Em first and he demolished their careers, which is a greater accomplishment to a diss track if you think about it, Nas didn't destroy Jay-Z's career, but Em completely ended Everlast, Ja Rule and Benzino and the track "the warning" shut Mariah up. gio Yeah, why? I picked the strongest diss tracks, then MC Lyte, KRS-One, and arguably DJ Quik's disses actually ended careers so they have to be up there. Ether, No Vaseline, Biggie and Pac are all dope. What's wrong?
Hotmanlion12 Nas called Jay gay once in the last verse. People exaggerate how many times Nas used "gay jokes" and how many "facts" Jay stated. I like both of the records and look at it objectively, not as a stan of either artist.
Manny Cartman I said in the last verse, which was more than the usual 16 bars. (I think it was 32). Ether's first 2 verses were watered down from the original. The label made Nas change them. But he kept the original 3rd verse. But like I said before, Jay called Nas a fag first, so why is that not mentioned. Same way Jay brought up Nas' "bodyguard" having a better verse than Nas, (which is subjective, not factual), Nas flipped it by saying "Em murdered you on your own shit". He was just flipping a lot of what Jay was saying but yet people critic Ether.
Browne (the extra guy) was a good addition to a great group.

I would say eminem's Nail in your coffin was one of the best diss records also
"Who Got Bodied" and *Malcolm X* were literally some of the nastiest diss songs by Royce da 5'9
I realised there was this girl and this dude sitting in the other bench just looking at them go nuts, damn lol
Love the concept of what y'all doing. Good look.

7. KRS-One - The Bridge Is Over
8. The Notorious B.I.G. - Who Shot Ya?
9. The Notorious B.I.G. - Kick in the Door
10. 2Pac - Hit Em Up
bruh are you serious? lmao
gio Yeah, why? I picked the strongest diss tracks, then MC Lyte, KRS-One, and arguably DJ Quik's disses actually ended careers so they have to be up there. Ether, No Vaseline, Biggie and Pac are all dope. What's wrong?
+Ocean Sage who shot ya wasn't a diss btw
what a terrible list
I would put The Notorious B.I.G - Long Kiss Goodnight instead of Who Shot Ya
deadendhiphop is on fire on 2012, love it, great episode.
This was a cool discussion; I just wish they weren't talking over each other
They will probably still have a part 2. IIRC, the webisode about women didn't say there was going to be a part 2.
Jay z used facts in takeover. Nas used grade school insults.
Jay Z only called Nas gay once in that song. How many gay jokes did Nas use in Ether? Face it, Nas was on some wild childish shit on Ether.
Eminem "I Remember" is one of the best diss tracks EVER.
