  • Hi Everyone,
    It's been a year since I've owned this bike now and I thought I'd do a follow up review and video for you guys to let you know how my experience has been so far. Check out the link below for my video when I first bought this bike. Thanks for watching!

    The steering damper is meant to prevent tank slappers. its when at fairly high speeds, your front wheel lifts slightly and as it touches the groud again it goes from left to right pretty fast up to a point where you cant hold it and you crash.

    just a friendly hint, if your wrists are hurting when your riding your putting to much of your weight on the bars. Press more weight off with your legs

    You would like a slipperclutch and you locked up the rear on hard braking. Ever considered blipping the throttle on your downshifts? Its fun, safer and pretty easy to learn. Not to mention it sounds really awesome!!

    My first bike as well, love it. I agree I would have grown out of a 250 so fast. I say go 600 from the start AS LONG AS YOUR RESPONSIBLE WITH THE GAS! when i first rode the bike< man!! its got some power but you get used to it quick

    How the heck I do open the rear seat, I have the same bike, same year all stock

    • @antoniotaylor7488
      @antoniotaylor7488 5 лет назад

      Seat lock is located on the left side between front & rear seat. When u look under the side you will see a key hole. It kind of looks like a bolt from the placement but its a key hole. I have a 03 600rr and couldn't find it for weeks. Hope this helps

    Hey bert1203,
    Beautiful bike you own, I am actually looking for a similar one. I was curious if you were thinking of selling it sometime this year. I live in Toronto as well and thought I would ask because I am extremely interested. If not, great video.
    Cheers,
    Jamie

    Nice Bike, actually my dream bike that I plan to buy in a year (similar year). I've been told by experts to not buy anything less then a 600cc for my first bike as anything less then a 600cc I would definitely out grow in a year. FYI, I'm also from Canada, Ontario, Burlington.

    Thank god someone that realizes that it's not just the power it's the rider. I hate when people bitch and complain about when people jump on big bikes, clearly they're just squids and hate to see people excel in something they strive for. Way I see it you have a little experience and as long as you respect whatever you're driving you'll be fine. Anyways that's just my opinion if you disagree you can get the fuck outdaahwaaaay

    • @shaykai
      @shaykai 11 лет назад +2

      I agree, it's definitely the rider, and not the bike. But you rarely see the 'wrong' type of rider (aggressive, irresponsible, poor impulse control) looking at a 250cc motorcycle for their first bike. I also don't understand the mentality of being scared of 'outgrowing' a bike. I love buying and riding different types of motorcycles. I've owned a half dozen different bikes and I'm planning my next purchase as we speak (a honda cbr600rr obviously!). It's pretty easy to buy and sell bikes, especially if you buy used. I sold my first bike a few months after I got it for $300 more than I bought it for. Do I regret doing that and not just buying a 600cc right away? Nope, not at all. That first bike was a blast.
      Anyway, I've rambled a bit. But in general, I agree with you Tyler!

    what ive heard is that if you just hold onto the throttle with your one hand and you put the other on your leg it allows you to sit up more straight so its more comfortable, but then again it aint a cruiser haha.

    don't go into buying insurance with your goal being to spend the least amount of money possible, if you get fucked up (it's entirely possible and medical fees suck) not having enough coverage sucks, a lot. your goal should be the most coverage that you can reasonably afford.
