Queen is going to take you on a fantastic ride... from hard rock, gospel and ballads...they do it all. And us Queenies( and there are millions of us!) will be here to share it all with you. Their live performances are unbelievable... anything from Wembley 1986, Live Aid 1985, Montreal 1981, Milton Keynes 1982 and Hammersmith Odeon 1975 is gonna blow you away... And of course their MVs are good too. Remember, no auto tune, just pure talent!
Send your girl the live version from Wembly. 😊Now, if this is your intro to Queen, this was just a wonderful, acoustic ballad. But the lead singer, Freddie Mercury, always made people feel that way. Brian May (a PHD in astrophysics with another great voice, the lead guitarist, is a genius irl and with that guitar of his. You didn’t even get to see Roger Taylor, biology degree, the drummer with a great falsetto voice, and John Deacon, the bass guitarist and electrical genius. Freddie had a degree in graphic design and drew the Queen logo (look up the meaning of it…he was a deep man with deep feelings, and funny too, lived hamming it up). And with over 300 songs in their discography, some pure masterpieces among them, most fabulous, ousky still relevant in these times…a 20 year history of the greatest band, the best “recipe” of any band ever, the best frontman ever in Freddie, the best vocalist (truly, he could sing anything, even quasi-opera with opera singer Monserrat Caballe’….its a never ending trip to heaven. RIP dear Freddie, you DID and STILL DO make people happy. TY for this--I joined hoping you’ll keep reacting to Queen. You can’t lose with them, ever.
Another one you might consider sending to your girlfriend is You Take My Breath Away live at Hyde Park '76. Just Freddie and his piano sounding totally ethereal. If you want to check out the other side of Queen, try Death On Two Legs, a Diss track aimed at their former manager. I recommend the studio version lyric video so you don't miss any of Freddies vicious lyrics.
This is a beautiful song but the studio version is stunningly gorgeous! (Definitely the one to send to your girl.) Check out Queen’s 20 minute set at Live Aid in 1985 .
The album version of this song is very elaborate and cannot be replicated live with just the 4 band members and 3 singers. It is multitracked and the band play additional instrument on the official version. Fans loved this song and kept requesting that it be included in their live shows so Freddie asked Brian (guitar) if he could put together a simple arrangement so that the song could be done live. So this is that version and every crowd, no matter where in the world Queen would tour, would sing along with Freddie on this song. You are right, both freddie Mercury and Robert Plant are incredible singers. You would probably also like Roger Daltrey, the lead singer of the band The Who. They are great as well. Both The Who and Led Zeppelin were favorite bands of the members of Queen.
If you want to see something incredible, watch him doing this song in Rio de Janeiro. 😊 Rock in Rio it's absolutely incredible. Not many spoke english. There were 500,000 people there.
Must start with Bohemian Rhapsody studio version, then Somebody to Live Luve Montreal 1981 (I was there), then rock medley live Budapest, then Muve Aid full concert, 1985
You should watch a LIVE performance of this song! Either: Wembley Stadium in 1986 Or: Rock In Rio in 1985 Or: Montreal in 1981 (Each performance is a completely DIFFERENT experience, each WONDERFUL)😘
Another tidbit about this song. A lot of people get it wrong and think that it's about a man. And it's the woman he had known all of his life, Mary Austin. She was his true love, even though he was bisexual.
Queens lead singer, FREDDIE MERCURY, is considered the best singer ever!!. He has the biggest range. Robert Plant, Led Zepplins singer, has said Freddie Mercury is the best singer. Freddie can even sing opera. And he's never had voice lessons.
