I have a theory.
A chapter in the Saitama vs. Garou arc was retconned before. The old chapter ended with Saitama and Garou sitting in a destroyed cabin?
But when it was retconned, God suddenly appeared and influenced Garou.
Now a few chapters before, we were given the Flashy Flash and Speed o Sound Sonic vs. the ninja village fight but now it has been retconned.
Now the retconned version, God suddenly appears again and influences Flashy Flash.
See where I'm going with this?
Now my theory is, what if it was God behind it all? Every time something was retconned? It wants to change the story so it could appear and influence someone to let it give its power to that someone?
But this could also mean that God is the creator of the One Punch Man Universe or the literal author himself, changing the story.
So I guess I have three theories? XD
1. God is behind all of the retcons
2. God is the creator of the One Punch Man Universe
3. God is literally the author himself
Yes I think the same as this is on purpose but I don't think God is the creator or God and Saitama were one being that split.
I like the idea but I don’t think he’s gonna do that just cuz if that’s the case whenever god does show up and gets defeated he should have the power to retcon that chapter which is just gonna make his defeat a lot harder to justify

Thank god I wasn't the only one thinking of this, Maybe these theories can play a big part in unlocking god and saitama's true power, My personal theory is that
Saitama: "Impossibility" breaking his limiter, The impossible measurement of his strength, And simply his impact on the story
God: "Possibility" As you've said he might have the power to retcon chapters, Maybe god is testing different possibilities with reasons we still don't know.

Ik it’s a headcanon, but I like to think that all the retcons are smth god is doing because the situation didn’t turn out how he wants it to, and one time they will rewind time but saitama will realise and that’ll be the setup for the final battle. If they make it like god is the one doing the retcons it makes him seem so much more op and somewhat cool. But it’s just a headcanon anyways lol
I always thought the end of the story would revolve around Saitama using time travel to travel back to when he didn’t have powers and he gives his past self the power to do what he currently does.. which is why he’s a lvl 100 character at the start of the series, so he’s his own Deus Ex Machina lol

That Flashy Flash Empty Void Two-Face panel was amazing.
Exactly, this empty void is WAAY better than his cosmic mode, he still has that fearful aura
people refer the Garou who fought flashy flash and Platinum ("weird bald guy") as Monster Garou. The main Garou with the "cool black monster shell' is very slick. Awakened Garou is simply he is awake and not randomly thrashing like his sleeping self, Sonic didn't fought demon level threat monster that much, yet he escaped flashy flash and genos after the three complement Saitama(while the shinobi ninja Speed O' sound sonic crashed into the concrete and made a near perfect silhouette of himself, and still spoke and escaped without context) for a well response about teacher, disciple or rival specifically.

What if they aren't retcons, what if gods actually going back in time as he exists outside of it and is trying to make plays by affecting the past, so we see how strong saitama is when he wrecks garou but now when we get to that point saitama will be even more powerful, essentially the warning baba yaga gave would become true because essentially God could reach back in time during the boros fight and cube him up during his fight with saitama essentially causing the death of everything
Yosh finally gets another after murata another opm project aka volume 31 this is pretty decent 🙌 and it's really a chaotic situation and goosebumps at the same time with EV's creepy facial appearance and a thin aura of presence suddenly he is near flasy flasy and a flashy flash that he didn't realize or forgot to press the blast caller signal tool 😳💀

I think Flashy is the real one up to the point rhat hes suddenly next to sonic and pulling out the cube. The panel before that hes a bit farther away. Roughly where flash is rushing from and yelling not to touch the cube.

Hitting empty void to awaken flash doesn't seem smart as he's in god's astral place not void's genjutsu
Unless Murata is using Genjutsu on all of us for months now, this arc is all over the place. Some great parts and some absolutely terrible parts. Where things are going I don't know, but if we get crazy fight between Empty Void and Blast I can forgive this half assed arc.
I mean it was the same with the Monster Association arc. Multiple jarring rewrites mid-arc undoing months of plot (some for better, some for worse) but they stuck the landing
To be fair in the original web story, Saitama just one shot him and it was very anti climatic. We didn't even see him fight or anything
