I play the PM grind, 56 and 60, and I love them. I used to struggle to hit a 60 degree wedge but with these I am deadly. I may be looking at these new Jaws.
Hi James All new wedges spin really good. Some brands just last longer. The top Tour players replace their wedges every 4-6 weeks which us mortals can’t do with the prices just escalating beyond affordability 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for your reply. I'm talking about the PGA on TV. Their distance control amazing me but the over spin time after time is what I don't understand. Love your channel, get that crazy Liam on again. Keep having fun.
I am still using some xseries jaws which must be ten years old now. On full shots with a quality ball they still spin a lot but on shorter shots not as much as they used to. I an going to replace then sooner than later so these will be contenders. Thanks James.
First thing tomorrow I am going to get myself a new set of wedges😁 Buying myself a set of kirkland ones, can't wait the reviews on them are brilliant 👌🏻
My Kirk Wed's arrived on Monday, best decision. Given I've never had wedges before, the soles and groves are very good. With all things Golf better swings better results, no amount of technology will ever beat a pure swing. And like the "big boys" the KW wedges have progressive weighting! I just changed the grips to some spares I had floating about.
@@mugz_1437Short answer yes, perhaps not straight away.. For me I have bigger hands than some. Most of the reviews talk about poor grips on the KWs, unbox them and decide for yourself as you go.
They look so much nicer than the PM grind callaway wedges, it will take something special to replace my Cleveland Zipcore wedges. Another top drawer review
I've heard a lot of chatter on the interwebs lately about graphite shafts for wedges. have you any thoughts? how about a comparison for a video with Chris.
My PM grind lob is my wooby. 75 yds and in I have full confidence. The thing I love is the head weight, feels heavier than other wedges which I like as I let the club do the work. Do the new Jaws have the same heavy head?
Darth Vader wedges! 🤣 love that you and Chris are out filming in the rain but super jealous!!! Single blue collar working dad, plus a lefty. Jealous you get to test all these clubs and I can’t even find left handed clubs in the states. I live on the east coast about 3 hrs from Washington DC. I’m taking my 22 month old son to visit my elderly mom at one of the most sought after golf vacation destinations in the USA and I can’t even golf 🤣😒 #dadlife
Can anybody tell me what that little critter was who crashed this party - PS I am the Bird Mammal Butterfly expert of our golfing group - and I have no idea ! Big responsibility ! PS nice info on the wedges - my next purchase will be a new wedge - short game is where I catch up ! Thanks lads !
These clubs look great. But I see the pros hit shot after shot in close only to have it spin back15 to 25 feet. I'm a mid handicapper and when I hit a close shot in I want it to stop there. So why do the pros keep making that same mistake?
Neither was Mizuno driver now TGX driver winner. I have played original Hogans Cleveland Tom Kite lob and for me nothing feels like Mizunos and wedges are a feel club.
I’m with Chris when it comes to black wedges, love the look until marked up, why I go chrome

Always lessons hidden in what you and Chris do. Nice job

We don't play or practice nearly as much as they do.We can get a few years of use with care.
I have the MD5 Jaws wedges which i bought earlier this year. They too are spin machines. I like these Toe groove ones but no rush to change to these.
I have the 54 degree in MD5, so versatile even out of the sand.

Great video, and really nice wedges. The section sheltering in the trees - the Blair Wedge Project. 😁

@@deviusfeilds Thanks for your comment, looking forward to hitting them👍🏻 Would you recommend changing the grips?

@@deviusfeilds Yeah I'll decide myself after afew rounds, cheers anyways. 👍🏻
Would like to see an on course comparison with the Kirkland wedges. Great review boys and enjoys the Stone's 🍺

I can’t get over the holes across the back. But, I do like them a lot better than the green dots from last year.

Almost makes me wish I hadn't just bought brand new wedges in January. I'd love to see numbers on the flightscope on those when you have a chance.
I have recently bought 2nd hand Cobra MIM wedges and can't get used to how much they spin.
spec wise, the 60-degree is .25" shorter than Mizuno spec but same as Titleist spec - but D2 swing weight is definitely lighter than Vokey D5
The black ones look awesome. But I’m not sure I could generate the spin you two do. Lol

Quick question please. I was about to buy 50, 56, & 60 JAWS wedges. Would you use these in both 56 & 60 if you were me or just in 60? Thanks
Im trying 56 only
Jeez... the Black Ones 🤩😍
i have got the black mack daddy 4s Amazing real stoppers
Grooves within grooves, just how groovy does a wedge have to be? Do you say Groovy when one spins back for ya?
Can anybody tell me what that little critter was who crashed this party - PS I am the Bird Mammal Butterfly expert of our golfing group - and I have no idea !

Do they still make Stones? Best TV ads in the 1980's for sure.
Oh yes
What's happened to robinsons off course ??
What ball was used in the testing?
Vokey all day every day! Nothing compares
Vole or weasel ? Lol. David Attenborough of the links.
I can only assume that said bitter is as awful as it was back in the day.
Plenty of much better local ales available in “Yerkshire” surely?

I think using the term “the pros” is probably a little vague mate. Generally distance control is something most pros do quite well
Peter Finch put up against his used Vokey's on launch monitor and fournd Vokeys still had more spin than new Callaways.
Like... but just bought Tm wedges
Would like comparison of the 4 top wedge brands in similar specs. Love my Mizunos.
Glad you like your Mizuno's. They aren't a player in the wedge world though.
@@mashedpotatoes5276 Agree, the copper ones look 👀 fantastic.
I'm still playing S18s, absolutely fantastic wedges
Those blue ones look so good

Need a camera up by the green to see it spin
We did?
@@JamesRobinsonGolf Yeah I saw later in the video HA
You mention a pint, then don’t show it. You should end the video with the loser buying the beers. Good review, Gents.
So, which wedge model do you both prefer?
Hello
New wedges lose about 30% of their spin in the first few weeks - silly to test new wedges
How's Laura
Except it’s not as finches old vokeys span more then these 😂
A vole 🤣
it was a stoat
