Just put these into my bag. Will likely only get one more round before the snow flies here in Canada. I must agree with your comment on the forgiveness they offer. Forgiving with feel, control and loads of stopping power. Going to be in play for me for the foreseeable future.
After that last shot Andy you may want to stick those straight in the bag. I currently play Callaway Apex irons and have been going on 5 years now but have never really been a fan of the Callaway wedges. But with the new Jaws wedges I think Callaway may be on the right track to make a great wedge. I'm currently gaming the Cleveland RTX Zipcore wedges but am definitely going to check out the new Jaws wedges from Callaway. Great job on all your club reviews.
I play the Cleveland Zipcore wedges and they are amazing. If I’m not mistaken they were the first to move weight from the heel to the toe to move CG where they want.
Great video as usual. The last shot is a keeper. 👍🏼 I have a couple of Callaway wedges n my bag at the moment. A 54 degree Mack Daddy CB and a 58 degree MD3. They have plenty of life in them and don’t feel the need for a change yet. But these new ones do look fantastic.
@@TheAverageGolfer Very. Might be because the delivery time on customised clubs is about 12 weeks which is into winter now so worth hanging on for new clubs and hopefully more stock and shorter lead times.
I've been playing the PM Grind 19's also. I'm looking to move on though. I've never had much luck in getting them to bite, or spin at all. Have you had issues? I love the way they feel and the way they look.. but I feel like they've been holding my short game back a bit. I've never had issues with spin on any other wedge that I've owned.
@@saintlex32 I totally agree. I have the 56, 60 and 64 and can hit them crisply and hit fabulous flop shots with the 60 and 64 ( i usually carry one of the two) but find they run out way too much. I will replace them with the new Jaws model when available.
Been playing Callaway X Jaws for years. Love em. Will have to be replaced soon because they will be illegal for competition play. And here the problem starts. Nothing available under 54 degrees in the new full toe. I play the standard 52-56-and 60 degree wedges. Bending anything to spec at 52 from 54 starts to change bounce/grind profiles. Come on Callaway, make them in a 52 and keep a faithful wedge player happy!! I don’t want to have to change to zipcore!!!
Andy, we share the love for LFC. I didn't want the Blue either. So I special ordered the Jaws wedges with Red earlier this year, which you can do. Now I don't have the full toe version but I would have ordered those with Red as well if i'd have waited until now...lol. 🏌️
@@TheAverageGolfer I'll wear a blue golf shirt from time to time, but won't have it on my clubs, shoes, or bag. Fickle is right..lol. FWIW, my plate reg number is YNWA.
Oh Andy. This is disastrous news. A Liverpool fan? I have mute/unfollow/block any kopites I come across, so as a big fan of your content, what does this blue do now?😂
They are very different tbh Dave, this is the first ‘blade’ type wedge that I found very forgiving and very playable, the Mizuno wedges are a chunkier profile
Went to Club Champions last week and for me they recommended the Cleveland CBX2 wedges which were great for me, these wedges look good, but to late for me to try them based on my ability.
There's a 55 driver headcover on ebay for 36 quid mate......I've just bought one.....search driver headcover, and put price to 30-40 quid.....and scroll down

Well worth trying Keith
@@TheAverageGolfer Which wedge in your opinion has best combo of forgiveness and feel?

I have the old PM grind and love it, albeit’s funky look. The current MD5’s rock and this looks like a nice development. Thanks Andy
They really are a decent progression

You had me at the Liverpool comment Andy, haha! Exactly how I think too.
Just been to a Callaway demo day. Told to hold off on wedges until the new ones come out next year (?)
Starnge?

Great review they look great bit of kit , have a mix of Cleveland wedges
Raw finish on the face. Does this mean that it'll rust up like the Taylormade?
Yes
Just picked these up in a 56 and 60. Amazing spin, albeit almost too much lol.
Vokey SM8; I’d try them when replacing current wedges
I have been playing the PM grind since they first came out and loved them. It is replacement time and these look like the go to club for me now.

Great review Andy, one question, a few months ago your review of Mizunos new wedges was glowing , are these better?

all company's will have similar full face groves with tweaks here and there it all comes down to what price can you afford to pay
Up the Reds Andy! Nice review, will definitely check these out.
Ping Glide 3.0 54 degrees
Cleveland do a few versions of full face wedges, cbx 2 & rtx ⛳
Up the reds 👍
Yes big fan of the CBX
The Zipcore model is certainly worth a close look. I love mine.
Imitation is the finest form of flattery (PXG).
I can’t have red in my bag, it’s a no no 😬

I think the designer I sleeping with someone from pxg... Nice wedges though.
